Disappointing Restroom Situation – Not What We Expected We were very disappointed to find out after booking our stay that the campground was using temporary accessible climate-controlled portable restroom units instead of proper restroom facilities. This was never made clear in the booking process, and had we known, we might have reconsidered our plans. There were only six unisex units for the entire campground (five of them really small), which was nowhere near enough for the number of campers. By late afternoon and especially after sunset — when most people returned from the beach — the units were crowded and completely out of toilet paper. While the idea of "climate-controlled" might sound nice, it doesn’t make up for the lack of cleanliness or basic maintenance. By the end of the day, the units were in poor condition. Campgrounds should either be upfront about these kinds of temporary setups or limit bookings to match the capacity of the available facilities. This really impacted the quality of our stay. The campground is definitely small. I’d consider going back only if they add regular bathroom cabins and a proper place to wash utensils after eating. This time, we booked right by the road (the few spots available), and it really took away from the experience — you could hear all the traffic noise and see the bright lights from the street all night. If I were to return, I’d make sure to book a spot closer to the beach instead. The staff was very friendly and kind and they even called to say our spot was ready before time.

Love this place, we come here once a month. It is a small campground but love the location. It is right on the beach and the new bathrooms have air condition. There is a pretty restaurant across the street with beautiful water views. This time we took the trolley all the way to the end just to see how far it would go, It actually went pretty far. It stops at one of our favorite restaurants Marina Jack on the marina. Many stops along the way and free. Just tip the nice driver. Also stops at the public beach. They have the best afternoon sandbars w the low tide. Stay late for it.

We are definitely in love with this place. Mobile restrooms are the greatest part. Very cool, clean, fresh. Great playground for kids. Safe place with no noise.

We had a great time at the beach! We got to watch the sun set over the gulf coast and swim in the ocean. It was a beautiful evening.

If you're expecting a spacious campground with private sites this may not be for you however if you want a short walk to a beautiful beach it's worth all 4 stars. The reservation system is still cumbersome and feels like there is some favoritism to friends and locals, I get it's a county park. Enjoy it if you can get in.

Beautiful! Right on the beach, clean and well maintained. Wonderful camp hosts. We had the kids along, ages 4-8, and they had an absolute blast. We took the trolley bus to the village for dinner. Seems everyone had the same idea! Siesta Key was as busy and crowded as I’ve seen this weekend. Will be back if we are lucky enough to get a campsite reservation again.

We loved the campground with direct beach access! On the beach there are turtle nests signposted, unfortunately we didn’t see them come out of the eggs. The sunsets were unbeatable: no clouds at the horizon. The sand on the beach is soft, nice and clean. Across the road you can walk by the marina to the docks to lookout for dolphins, manatees and pelicans. The trolley bus stops at Turtle Beach campground and brings you to Siësta Key Beach at no charge. The campground hosts Mark and Gloria were very nice and helpful. They are doing their job with love and care 🙂

Small sites with full hookups and a picnic table, big showers and an outdoor beach rinse, washers and dryers, very quiet with some street noise. Beautiful sunsets-free trolley to the main areas-our favorite camping spot!! The thing we most enjoyed on this stay was the campground hosts, Debbie and Greg-they were welcoming, very helpful, and home made sausage balls for us on our last evening for our travel day breakfast, fantastic customer consideration-big shout out to them as our best park hosts ever!!

Great parking, easy access to restrooms, Handicap access 👍, ramps, walkways, playground, showers, etc. Hassle-free spot when Siesta Beach is packed full. This spot is super quaint.

Direct access to the beach! The host was friendly and welcoming. Restrooms and showers were clean and well maintained. The bushes in-between the sites were a little thin in spots, but the neighbors were cool, and it was quiet at night.

What a great campground on Turtle Beach with direct beach access. The campsites are very tight and maneuvering a large rig is challenging but well worth it. We camped there during Veterans day week and they put together a fantastic venue for the Vets hosted by Mission BBQ! Check out the grilling truck, you can't miss it! The camp-hosts, Tammy and John were excellent and very accommodating to all our needs. They even got us a few extra days stay! Check-in with Pete was easy as pie and Dan the manager was awesome as well.

Beautiful small and we'll maintained Sarasota County park with full hookups. Very peaceful beach. FYI, the sand is nothing like what you see in Siesta Key Beach, it's coarse gray, hot and perfect for turtle nests, which can be seen all over.
