Really pretty, easy access to the river and campsites felt secluded even though they are close together. We stayed in campsite 34. The bathrooms were really not great. They had no toilet paper, overflowing with garbage and didn’t seem to be serviced at all throughout our stay.

Beautiful campsite. The river runs right by camp. If you're in Huntsville: First of all, why are you in Huntsville? Second of all, go to this campground. 5 STARS⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Loved the river access. Fishing was good. Generator running at neighbors camp sucked and weird campground host who asked when we were leaving 4 different times on a 2 night stay... besides that, wonderful.

This was a really nice campground with lots of trees for shade and for fairly good privacy. Great trees for hammocks etc. The trailer sites are a bit tricky to get into with the bigger rigs. But overall, a great experience and very well maintained.

This campground was great! The host was nice and did his job. I saw some complaints about the bathrooms stinking, but if everyone followed the rules it wouldn’t be that bad. You’re supposed to close the toilet lid and keep the door closed, but no one seems to be able to follow that. The spots were clean and kept well! We had a great time and will definitely be returning.

Great camping with kids. Tubing the river is great fun and a good way to cool down. It does get hot in the summer here, but it does cool off quickly in the evening hours so bring a jacket and firewood for a camp fire. The west end (right turn at entrance) of the campground has more shade than the east. Pit toilets are well placed and good potable water is available at multiple locations in the campground (but you are NOT allowed to fill up RV water tanks, just portable containers). Each campsite has a fire ring and table with a concrete pad. No hiking opportunities from camp, steep mountain on one side and river and road on the other. So play in the river or read a book or sit in a hammock or fish if you like to do that. Causey reservoir is just a short 10 minutes up the canyon has some short hikes along with non-motorized water sports. Pine view reservoir down canyon has all the power boat stuff you need. Occasional motorcycle rider traffic in the road is audible since they love the scenic Monte Cristo highway which passes by the campground.

Excellent camping! Had no problems. The only thing was the river was running low this year.

Amazingly beautiful. It was a pain to get a camping spot as we couldn't book online. When we showed up there were no camp hosts and the people camping next to them said that they had been gone since early in the morning and they've been refusing people with no reservations (even though the site says that there's first come first serve sites). There's a spot for slips to pay for spots but no slips. By chance a ark Ranger showed up and said that we could use a site, however it's cash only so we had to drive back to town to get cash. After almost 3 hours we were finally able to set up. The camp hosts didn't show up until around 5pm.

one of the best campgrounds to stay at!! I have came here every year for a long time, super pretty views. I love the river there you can go tubing and swim!! Also fish, the campgrounds are really nice because you have your privacy with your family!! The camp host is super nice too! I love this place and will be coming back every year.
