 The Ventura Ranch KOA is a 76-acre campground nestled at the foot of Ventura County's highest mountain, Topa Topa. Enjoy nature, wildlife, gorgeous views, and clear star-lit nights. We are just off the scenic highway, 7 miles between Santa Paula and Ojai.
We offer five types of accommodations, from the very rustic to deluxe!

Are you ready for a challenge? Our&nbsp;"Soar Over Ventura Adventure Course"&nbsp;combines a zip line PLUS a ropes/obstacle course.&nbsp; Our&nbsp;"Eagles Nest ZIP Line"&nbsp;is also open!.&nbsp; Come into the office on Mondays to sign up for the weekend!&nbsp; Age, height and weight requirements.&nbsp;
Ventura Ranch KOA World Labyrinth&nbsp;The Ventura Ranch KOA World Labyrinth is a place to meditate, reflect, and let the light shine upon us in our great outdoors. So come and take a walk through and enjoy the natural surroundings.

CANCELLATION POLICY: Cabins, Tee Pee's, Glamour Tents require at least a 7 day cancellation or reservation change (by 4pm 7 days prior) or deposit is forfeited. Otherwise, there is only a $10 cancellation fee charged.&nbsp;RVs, Tents require at least a 48 hour cancellation or reservation change (by 4 pm 48 hours prior) or deposit is forfeited. Otherwise, there is only a $10 cancellation fee charged.&nbsp;NO TENTS ALLOWED ON RV SITES
If you are inviting people to visit your site, please be aware of the following rules: All visitors must stop at the front office and register their vehicle and everyone coming into the park. There is a $10 charge per person (Max of 6 visitors per campsite). Children under 3 are free. The car pass you are assigned must be clearly displayed at the front of the vehicle at all times. All visitors must leave by 8pm, when our campground quiet hours begin. Visitors in the park must abide by the same rules as overnight guests.

Ventura Ranch KOA Holiday in Santa Paula, CA

The sites were ok, but the road running through the campground promoted everyone cutting through site if you are roadside.  Very few full hookup sites, so using the showers is not really avoidable.  The showers were horrible, almost no flow at all.  Had to remove the shower head and use the straight pipe flow.  The location is focused on the zip lines and kids activities.  Much better to just come use the zip lines and not stay.  The location at the nearby stream was the only saving grace.

The campsite we stayed at, Spot 33, was decent. However, the only place to access water nearby was close to the restroom. The shower facilities didn’t have hot water, and to use a shower with warm water, we had to drive up the hill.

The shower area was also poorly maintained and full of dead bugs. Around the campground, there were multiple piles of trash with nails sticking out, which looked like leftover construction debris.

There was also no proper sink for washing dishes. When we asked at the office, we were told to use a faucet next to the campground restroom. That area was very dirty and filled with leftover food scraps from other campers, which was extremely disappointing.

Overall, it was a very disappointing visit.

Upon arrival we discovered that our teepee was covered in black mold and smelled horrible. This was not a small amount of black mold it was literally everywhere. We were traveling with our children, one with asthma which would have been aggravated by the black mold. When we returned to the main office to alert them of the problem, we were ignored while one attendant leisurely restocked the candy and the other booked another guest on the phone. We waited, along with another guest, received no greeting and again no urgency. They changed the teepee to a different one without argument, but also no apology or concern. The new teepee was clean of mold, but hadn't been cleaned by housekeeping. Garbage and dirt on the floor, puddle of water at the entrance. The pool area and bathrooms were dirty. No hot water in the shower, other showers out of order and bathroom in general disrepair. Despite these problems, it's still a great spot-perfect for families with so much to keep kids entertained. I expect better from KOA. This location has so much potential!

Great place to go if you like the outdoors. Lots of ways to camp here. Teepees, cabins, RV sites. Playground area for the younger kids and zip line for the older kids. Beautiful stream running alongside the property.

My wife and I were in space #5 and the site its self was nice. However the majority of of our stay we felt we were camping inside an Andy Gump. The sewage smell was so strong and prevalent the entire time of our stay, that we put our fire out and went into our RV EVERY NIGHT.  TOO BAD, THE AREA ITSELF IS NICE, but will NOT BE BACK. The staff was very nice.

There's trash everywhere. There's socks, shirts, random shoes spread all over the park. Same with trash, the and trash cans next to the kids play area is so over flowing that it's all over the place. They advertise that the office stays open till 7:00, that's not true. It's six. We weren't told till we got here that everything is closed. All the activities are closed during the week. The pool, is so dirty. It looks like there's dirt going up the sides of the pool. It won't let me post pictures of all the trash. I've got 10.

I have never written a five star review especially for a campground but this place deserves it! So much to do there, close to the beach and anytime we had an issue the staff was so sweet and attentive. It is also very clean! We will definitely be back!!!

Pool is not heated, no slide on playground (opening is covered by a piece of plywood), our trailer got infested with ants after being there two days, staff drive way to fast in their golf carts, rock climbing wall out of order, no hot tub. Campgrounds needs work. Didn’t feel like we got to enjoy it because of how many amenities are not working properly.

It's a very good family campsite, but compared to other KoAs in the city, the management here is indeed not as good as other areas. Although the swimming pool is not muddy, there are many fallen leaves and branches floating. We lived in a cabin and the toilet was very clean. We did not use the public toilet, so I don't know about the dirty problem mentioned by others. The peacock's call did not affect me much. The barbecue grill in the camp was not cleaned up by the charcoal ash left by others. There were also several burnt barbecue nets around the door that were not cleaned up. However, the camp is good in terms of entertainment facilities. Both big and small children can have a lot of fun.

The kind way to describe this place is rustic! However you could also call it a dump. Lots of kids activities so attractive to young families that don't mind the state of disrepair. We saw multiple sites with multiple families with multiple vehicles staying in one site to share costs. Apparently the don't enforce the occupancy rules that are posted.  We were in the Alder group of sites. Our site consisted of a very distressed asphalt pad and dried grass. There were signs of a sprinkler system that had long been abandoned so dead grass and dirt. Our site was so out of level that our trailer tongue was almost on the ground in order to level our trailer. The first morning we woke up to find our trailer infested with ants. We camp a bit and have been to many sites and never have we had an issue like this with the constant infestation in our unit. Peacocks are lovely to look at but my goodness they screech all day and all night. Apparently staff has not informed them of the 10:00PM quiet hours. The restrooms and showers were a joke. We stayed 5 days and I don't think they were cleaned the entire time. The showers are pod style and individual and not located inside the actual restrooms. Be careful not to select one with the push button timed shower or you'll be getting a very frustrating experience. The sinks inside the restrooms are the same push button style that you have to constantly push just to wash your hands. Most parks have adults that typically live on site and take pride in the parks appearance and condition. Here they hire kids, older teenagers to perform many tasks that are just not appropriate for their age.

One of the best campgrounds I've stayed at!! This campground is absolutely STUNNING! There are so many activities: Ziplines, Labyrinth, Jumping Pillow, Pool, Hikes etc. Such a great campground for all ages. We stayed in a cabin which was a great experience. The Teepees and Wagons also look like great options! Will definitely be back!

We’re a full time RV family with 2 kids and we’ve seen a lot of different campgrounds including other KOAs. This is by far the worst campground we’ve stayed at. Bottom line is that the ownership doesn’t care about what they need to care about and it shows. It’s way understaffed for such a large property with a bunch of amenities to maintain. The jumping pillow, dirt bike track, labyrinth, and zip line course were good features, but that’s about it. Bathroom stalls and showers all had lock issues. Our campsite was full of litter when we checked in. Water got turned off on us at one point without any communication to guests. There is unburied electrical conduit and other hazards just completely unattended to. The staff was nice but clearly had their hands tied by ownership to really make a difference. It’s too bad because it could really be something special and it’s got great access to hiking, Ojai, and Ventura.

Wonderful place to camp! My son has had his Trailer up there for several days during my grandkid's Spring Break. Our family all went up for Easter today. The weather was just beautiful.  There is plenty of shade, barbeque grills  swimming pool  and play areas for the kids. There are also Teepee's, Covered Wagons available to rent for camping, in addition to cabins.

The new management is very pleasant and they lots of fun things to do there, great scenery and Love the Peacocks running wild.

We enjoyed the peacocks all around and the full hook up spaces were great.
