The Virgin River Gorge BLM is a scenic area located in Littlefield, Arizona. It is managed by the Bureau of Land Management and is a popular destination for outdoor recreation. The area is known for its dramatic red rock canyons, towering cliffs, and lush vegetation. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities such as hiking, camping, fishing, and rock climbing. The area is also home to a variety of wildlife, including bighorn sheep, mule deer, and mountain lions. Virgin River Gorge (BLM)

Virgin River Canyon Recreation Area turned out to be a really nice surprise. The campground is pretty, with great views of the river and the mountains around it. Even though it’s right off the highway, it still feels peaceful, and it’s a good spot if you want to fish or hang out by the water.

There are 108 sites, all paved and pretty spread out, so it works well for both RVs and tents. The restrooms have running water but no showers. Nights run about $15–20. Phone service is pretty limited out here, so don’t count on having much signal.

I was there during the week and it stayed quiet the whole time. I liked it and would definitely stay again.

Oh this camp site is surreal, and scenic beautiful. You are surrounded in an amphitheater of mountains. Restrooms are here. Fire pits, and grills are here. Dogs welcomed. RVs can easily maneuver the paved roads in each camp site.

Nice camp. Only $8 per night. Zero to One bar on verizon. Nice pull through sites. We stayed in 33. There are 2 bathrooms in that section with flushing toilets with sinks.

Natural beauty kept and preserved, set aside for all. Me included to savor and enjoy. It appears rough but it shows its tenderness when a desert squirrel runs across the area. Many picnic areas as well as restroom facilities. BBQ pits available for the more adventures. Much to see and a short hike takes you to the Virgin River. Another amazing sight to see. Take a moment, stop and Enjoy !

Very nice recreation area with two campground loops, 108 sites, and bathrooms with running water, no showers. Day pass $2, camping $8 . Truly an oasis between St. George and Mesquite. Well maintained with ADA and sheltered sites. Several trails provide miles of hiking, but the paved loops and entrance make a great walking route. Perfect place to walk dog. The upper loop is noisy because of the interstate, but the lower loop is much quieter and down near the river there's virtually no noise. Some really nice spots with paved pads and fire rings overlooking the river and canyon. Amazing scenery with Joshua trees and cacti where the Mojave desert meets the Colorado plateau with steep walls cut by the Virgin River. It doesn't seem that many people camp here as the place has always been pretty much deserted apart from people stopping by from the freeway to use facilities and stretch legs when I've been there.  Really dark night skies. Four trails also just north of exit, two by freeway and two more a mile up the road. You could get 10-15 miles of hiking in easy. Sullivan's Canyon trail from campground crosses the river so be prepared to get wet or remove shoes.

Site 92 has beautiful views!

Pros: beautiful view, flat sites, great hiking.

Cons: site 92 is right beside the trail to the river so A LOT of people walk right through your campsite thinking it’s part of the trail (it’s not).
We had other campers walking through our site at 4 am heading down to the trail.
The bathrooms are filthy, by far the worst I’ve ever seen.

Campsite #3 had great views, a level tent space, and far from everyone else. Only downside was the wind. Do not camp in this spot if you are expecting wind beyond 10mph or if your tent isn't built to withstand it.

This campground has gone cashless but is still First Come First Served self check in through the recreation.gov site. QR codes at each spot.
It was a bit windy during the day, but the night was calm. Nice clean, paved sites.
Close to the highway, but it didn't disturb me

Great place to camp. Campground and the restrooms were clean. My family and I will definitely come back here next time. The park ranger for BLM, Chris was very accommodating and friendly. He takes the time to go around each site to greet everyone. Thank you for being a wonderful BLM park ranger.

Such a beautiful place, the person camping next to me said ..best seat in the house over the views.  Great hiking also.

Awesome place. Renovations look to be improving the grounds and the once deplorable restrooms. If managed better this could be a really great great campground.
