The prettiest lake side campsites are here! We parked our boat right at our site. Awesome! The ONLY word of caution…. Spray ant insecticide on your camper or around your tent AS Soon As You Park!! We had a really bad ant experience mostly because our site had muscadine wild grapes that were all over the ground. 😳

Live this place. We always stay in creek view. I won't say my favorite site BUT I really need to know when they are going to fix the bath houses between lot B and C. See yall in November.

We absolutely loved the site. #74. DIRECTLY on the water; not just close to the water or in view of the water like a lot of the others advertise. Perfect for launching the kayaks right out of the trailer and in the water. Saturday was a very busy day with jet ski and pontoons pulling children around and other fast boats running up and down, so I think that made the fishing less than hoped for. For fishing, probably best to go during the week. Bath house was outdated, but clean. Very friendly camp hosts. Lots of laughter heard from children, just a great place to have family fun. Sewer hookups would be welcomed, as it is a hassle to hookup and go dump and set up all over again. Still a beautiful weekend. I will definitely return.

We stopped for an overnight stay and were not disappointed. Although some of the lower numbered sites in this loop involved a downhill slope, our site 39 had easy access, was level, and the utilities worked as expected. The roads are maintained, trees are trimmed enough for safe access and there is ample guest parking. Each loop has a bathhouse with laundry, but the machines in our loop were out of order during our stay. Although we didn’t try them, the sign for the 2 (rickety🫤) machines in the next loop said they operated for free. Overall this was a pleasant stay and we plan to stop again when in the area.

Simply put, we had GREAT waterfront sites, a nice pad to park on, shade, and even no one around us until the day before we left. It was quiet! The bathhouse was clean and efficient, and the dumpsite was as well (that's where the dumpsters are). My only complaint (absolutely not the campground's fault) was the horrendously obnoxious gnats and flies that were overwhelming. The hosts were wonderful and chatty. I wish they would have had campground decals since we collect those to display on the camper (I think they're on the internet somewhere). Anyway, a great COE campground that we will definitely visit again!

Even though it was a somewhat busy weekend in the campground was full we had a great time. It was peaceful and great to see kids at play. Campsites along the shore are well positioned with a beautiful view of the lake. And at our campsite say gorgeous magnolia tree. I only wish it was blossoming.

The campground itself is awesome. Clean, well kept and spacious. Some of the staff could use a course in customer service. I was camping and left to go in town. Upon returning, I noticed the sign at gate said, use the right lane to checkin. I pulled over in the left lane to ask if there was a bait store near. The male attendant sharply told me to move my car I couldn't park there. I asked could I ask him a quick question. Again, I was rudely told not until you move your car!! There were no vehicles in the left lane waiting; no real reason he could not have asked, quickly, what is your question? Anyway I thanked him for being so helpful so maybe he got the hint, that was not the way to handle that. Probably won't come back.

We are Michiganders, just getting away from the Arctic weather......not into water sports at all......but this place is perfect for us! Nice facilities......and beautiful views. Less than five miles from town,

What a great experience. We brought our 2 year old granddaughter camping for the first time. This will definitely be a tradition every year. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. Make sure to bring something for the tiny black ants. They will get into everything. But that is not a draw back, just a “tiny” inconvenience.

I hate to even rate this place because enough people know about it already, but... We stayed for 3 nights in May and if not for the rain on the second day, it would have been perfect. The park closes and is locked from 10 pm central to 7 am each day, and even though it's clearly marked, I somehow overlooked that detail. So on Friday morning, we were going back home (only an hour away) so my wife could be there for an important inspection and she had to call the office so someone could come let us out. The nice lady got up at 6 am and walked up to unlock the gate for us. We really can't thank her enough. Everything about our spot was beautiful and right on the water and had plenty of shade. Didn't visit the bathrooms or much else at the park, but it's beautiful.
