Another good RV campground that could be a 5/5 with a little more effort. In reality there are only two things I would rate lower. The bathrooms are descent and fairly clean but a daily cleaning is not done. The showers are fine but as in many campsites not perfect. While the laundry has free washers only one of the two is operating and there is no place to sort or fold clothes. Dryers are 3.75 but are large. So that is the Ricky tacky stuff. The grounds are clean and good room at each site. Most are grass and not gravel but are level. There are trees throughout so good shade in the summer. The entry has a nice seating area and places for kids to romp as well as a pool and small arcade. The price is consistent with the area and Connor was helpful when onsite and responded quickly by text when he wasn’t. The old rail now bike path behind the property is great for a walk, run, or bike. Being right in the main road wasn’t a problem as during the evening it is quiet but early you may hear trucks heading to work.

We stayed at this small, very well-kept campground and had both a campsite and a rented room. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. Our campsite was spotless, and all the hookups worked perfectly. The campground is conveniently located near all the main attractions in Lake George, making it easy to explore the area. We had a wonderful fall weekend and would definitely return.

We have friends that camp here every year and they love it, so we rented a cabin and spent a weekend with them. The campground is very clean and family friendly, great place to go if you have young kids, as it has a heated pool, playground, arcade, and is located right on the bike path so there is easy access. The owners are very helpful and will assist when needed. I gave the review 4 stars because of the cabin. Very quaint and extremely cozy. If you are a large person I would not suggest renting as my wife and I could not fit in certain areas together! They are definitely in dire need of a complete renovation as they are dated and in need of some serious TLC! If you like a firm bed, then they have one for you, ours was like sleeping on plywood, didn't get much sleep. The best thing about the cabin is they have a huge deck. I believe that the deck is actually bigger than the interior of the cabin itself! Overall, it was great stay and if we had a camper we would definitely go back, but not so sure we will stay in the cabins again unless they do some upgrades.

We just camped for a couple of days and it was wonderful. The hosts are amazing and the property is well-kept. The location is convenient to town and the outlets. Electric bikes are available and the property is open to the bike path. The winery offers a great variety of wine. We will see you again next summer!

This campground is GREAT, we have no complaints but we were in a cabin instead of having our RV with us this time. IT had a flat tire and we had a rally to get to so Connor got us a cabin. The ONLY reason it is 4 stars is that the shower was not at all powerful and I like it REALLY hot which it was not, it was hot but REALLY hot. I find the staff of this campground goes out of their way to accommodate their campers, we definitely want to come back. The pool is great and the RV sites are spacious enough to get in and out of your site. NO COMPLAINTS REALLY!! Lake George is literally 3 miles away and there is a gitney bus to and from town. Go, you will not be sorry!!!

We had such a great stay! I don’t usually write reviews, but this place was a true hidden gem. Loved the laid-back, family-friendly vibe, the clean grounds, fun activities, and the bike trail and winery right there. The staff was super welcoming too. It really had everything we were looking for and can't wait to come back next year!

We had an amazing time camping here over the July 4th weekend! It was the perfect getaway with friends—lots of laughter, great conversations around the campfire, and a peaceful natural setting that made it truly memorable. The restrooms were decently clean and well-maintained, which is always a plus while camping. The staff was super friendly and very responsive whenever we needed anything, which made the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The campground has a beautiful trail nearby that we loved exploring—perfect for a short hike or just soaking in the surroundings. It’s a great spot for families too, with a calm and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend this campground, and we’re already looking forward to coming back again soon!

So this is a small family owned campground that "feels" like a relic of a bygone age. That is not a complaint, but does couch my review. This is an adorable little campground and motel. Yes they do offer wi-fi, but everything else seems designed to disconnect and get you away from it all. Communal fire pit late at night, very subdued and "family owned" feel. All family members of 2 generations are nearby but usually working on something. If you are looking for constant attention and fawning, this is not the place. If you want a get away weekend, rent a couple of bikes from adjacent bike rental to go down to Glen Falls and Lake George for an entire day, sample there adjacent wine bar and get some unique curated local wines, this is the place. Disconnect, vibe, connect with nature and your partner in a cozy little cabin for the weekend. For us, this was downright magical. This is definite date night, anniversary, maybe a proposal type getaway secluded weekend. If this is you goal, it delivers 100%. If this is not your goal, maybe you might be better suited elsewhere. A niche market but in that market it nails it! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

We love whippoorwill campground! The man who checked us in, Connor, was such a friendly and helpful guy. He made us feel so welcomed and accommodated. Will definitely be visiting again in the future!

Whippoorwill Campsites is a gem that you might not normally choose. Don’t let the Motel in the name fool you. This is a great little campground. Family run with super, super nice folks. The park is extremely well maintained. They are a mix of grass and some gravel sites. The utilities at our site were pretty far to the back but we made it work. Some sites are also a bit off level but again we made it work. There are beautiful trees with no real low branches. We are fulltime RVers so we are quite picky. We don’t give 5 stars very often. The main reason we did here was the beautiful grounds and super nice owners. They are pricey but probably comparable for the area. We will stay here again.

Rented 3 electric bikes with my wife and daughter. The bikes were excellent and fun to ride. The trail is just out back of the facility. The owner was very nice and helpful. The whole process was easy to do and so much fun. I recommend this business highly

Stayed in one of the cabins October 2021...enjoyed the evening with family and friends. The cabin offered a spectacular view of the fall foliage from the covered front porch. The room was comfortable and clean...well maintained. I LOVED the Adirondack theme.

Great Family Campground! Grounds are well kept, clean facilities and an amazing staff! We had a wonderful stay here. Everyone that works at Whippoorwill goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and at home. They are gracious, accommodating and super friendly! Most certainly the most enjoyable camping trip we have ever had. And we love Gunner! Can’t wait to return again next year! Thank you so much to the Whippoorwill Team; you rock!!!
