Clean and well built park. We didn't need a single leveling block to park our RV when we got here and were close to all our favourite outdoor rec spaces. Hope is close for ammenities and it's easy access to the highway for anyone looking to get out and adventure right away. Sites are nice and big as well so its easy to set up a great outdoor space to relax

I have a hard time writing reviews like this when the people running it are nice. But this place is so noisy from the trains which run directly on one side and they pass often, sometimes every 15 minutes…even at night! I am not exaggerating about this. Some of the train horns go off like a bomb is dropping. There is a crossroad at the end of the campsite which requires the trains to blow the whistle exactly as the train passes the RV site (hence the name “Whistle Stop”). There were times at night where I was jolted out of sleep and my pets would even jump as well. If you’re talking during the train passing you have to stop because you can’t hear the other person…it’s that bad! Add to this that along the opposite side of the rv park is the very busy number 1 highway. It is literally running about 20 ft from where the trailers park, with no fence…in my opinion a tragedy waiting to happen especially when the roads ice up. Semi trucks fly by at 100 kph or more and are very noisy as well. There are mostly long term renters, many impoverished. Several had parties while I was there which were literally so loud I couldn’t hear my television. When I confronted them they said if I am tolerating the trains why shouldn’t I tolerate their music. As others have said, there is nothing to do. No pool. No playground. No games room. No laundry. No wifi. No dog park. No full time office staff or groundskeepers/maintenance as other parks do (they are available by phone). I think the owners may be investing in some of these things and I feel for them because they are young and I can see they’ve invested in trying to improve it. But honestly it wouldn’t matter for me even if it had all those things because the noise from the trains/highway/neighbours became absolutely unbearable. If you like sleep and peace and quiet during the day this is not the place. I would stay elsewhere (there are a number of more established sites very close by with more amenities) and I would only recommend this place if it was an absolute emergency.

We had an amazing stay at Whistle Stop RV! The park is beautifully maintained, spacious, and incredibly clean. The staff were friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. Our site had plenty of room, great hookups, and easy access to local attractions. We especially loved the peaceful surroundings and well-kept facilities. Definitely one of the best RV experiences we’ve had in BC – we’ll be coming back for sure!🙂

This campground will be great soon after completing complete update. I was here about 8 years ago. Now, they are doing fabulous job updating everything. Sites are very wide. X1.5 times wider than most RV campground. Only one thing is that it is located by the highway. Everything else will be great once it completd. I will come vacation again...

“Great RV park! The sites are clean, spacious, and easy to pull into. Full hookups worked perfectly, Loved how close it is to local attractions like Jones lake. Super friendly staff—will definitely stay again!”

We stayed here during Canada Day long weekend and it was great! It was super easy to book and we were well directed with the process. The park was nice and clean. The kids enjoyed the stay and were loving the train whistle. Will definitely come here again!

The only good thing about this park. Was the people running it. They were super nice. And helpful. That being said. When we pulled in. Parked. We were set up next to a bunch of Graffiti and construction. The sewer pipe hole was a couple feet above the ground. So I had to feed everything we dumped in. One bit of leaking hose at a time down the hole by lifting it one segment at a time. Because they didn't think to have the sewer holes at ground level. When we were getting ready for bed we learned why it was called the whistle stop. Almost every hour or so a train blew by blasting it's airhorns. So we didn't get any sleep. And the park charges more then most rv parks. We paid around 75 dollars a night to get no sleep. Whereas some of our favourite also full hookup sites are about 23 dollars a night. And I had to flip the breakers myself because power wasn't finished connecting to the site we were on. A handyman would be by to do so. We were told. I called back later to ask to borrow a screwdriver in order to set the water for our new camper. And was told where to find him. He was quite shocked that we had already been parked and set in place meaning the manager hadn't told him to get us set up. Long story short. Overpriced. Didn't feel safe. Didn't sleep well. Full hookups were decent. But stinkpipe was a big u shape due to being so high. They should be cut. And dropped. But generally you do that before you lay the gravel. (I've installed them before) they said they just underwent a massive renovation.

Great place to stay . We have been living here permanently since the end of May 2020. Owner is awesome has 2 super friendly dogs . Highly recommend this place for camping in the summer if you don't mind the train and the highway . Not called Whistle Stop for no reason. All permanent spots are full but bring your camping gear for next summer

Prices were ridiculous. $35.00 per night was ok which included 2 Adults per RV, BUT additional person was $5.00 per person per day extra which was stupid considering that we have been going there for more than 5 years. NEVER again. The washrooms were not functional or accessible at all

Very friendly . Nice sites lots with power or just for tenting. Good availability on long weekend's. Tourism BC sign on the hwy says closed, but not true. Just remember it is called Whistle stop for a reason. (Trains)
