The camp host at Gore Creek Campground was terrific friendly, helpful, attentive and The bathrooms were so clean there was paper. There was a garbage can that had been tented and there was plenty of hand sanitizer very clean very appreciated. This guy is terrific. This particular site was off the chart so beautiful It’s The fall season and the Aspen are breathtaking. The reviews say that it wasn’t appreciated because bears were not in the vicinity, but darn it we didn’t see one.

Great location. The campsites are spacious and feel private. Great bear boxes. The pit toilets might be some of the cleanest I've ever seen. The staff is also very friendly. Site 11 is close to the river which is nice but the site itself isn't very level and it was hard to find a spot for our tent. They best place was a spot which was under some trees but the was close to some restrooms. The table kept rocking as well because it couldn't be leveled. Depending on the wind you can expect to smell the pit toilets. I really liked the campground and would definitely come back but I'd probably look for another campsite.

Gorgeous campground 10 minutes from Vail. Enjoy the sound of the creek (and a little highway noise) at one of their fairly secluded sites. Pictured, is site 23. Note that sites 20-25 do require a short hike in. Level tent area, picnic table, fire pit, and bear proof box provided at each. Bathrooms located in the parking lot - seriously, the cleanest camping bathrooms I've ever had! Simple booking through the recreation.gov app!

Gore Creek worked well for us for two nights on our way through. We have an F350 and an 18' trailer and most sites were fine. The sites by the creek are beautiful, although if you have very small children you'll need to watch them as the water moves fast and the snowmelt continues into the summer. Shaun T(?) the caretaker was great. We did have a black bear in camp, who snuck up to within 20' of our 5 year old son before our dog alerted us to his presence.

Gorgeous location, lots of shade, right on gore creek. The camp host took great care of the restrooms. All of the restrooms were clean.

Beautiful and clean campground with spots right up next to the river! We visited in July 2024. Nice and quiet!

Camped in site 22 for Labor Day weekend. Most of the walk-in sites require a walk up a steep hill from the parking lot. Carrying our stuff was not easy, and I’m in pretty good shape. The campground also has no water. Other than that, the campground was nice and the bathrooms were clean.

Gorgeous campsite!!! The bathrooms were the cleanest I've seen. A bear box and picnic table are provided. But a few things were unfortunate: 1. They have a very fine powdery dirt at the campsite which stuck to everything. I've never been to a campsite with it before so if you have children or dogs they will get extremely dirty. 2. The firewood we purchased here was awful. It wasn't under a cover and was wrapped in plastic but I think it will got wet because we could not keep our fire going and tried so very hard. Just smoke. 3. It is very close to I-70 so we could hear traffic, especially at night time. 4. The small trash bins were very full. Also FYI black bears are very prevelant in the area so be prepared!

This is a beautiful, smaller campground, just minutes from Vail. It's rather close to the interstate, so there is some road noise, especially in the closer sites (some sites are right on Gore Creek, and the creek muffles the traffic). However, the sites are relatively large and spaced nicely, and the host keeps the campsites and the pit toilets clean and nice. There are lots of hiking trails immediately adjacent to the campground, as well as a long bike path.

Very nice campground, some sites steep but a few, like 10 and 11, flat and right on beautiful Gore Creek, flowing rapidly on May 22. Some snow still in sites. Bathrooms with pit toilets, very clean. Camp host, Lauren, friendly and helpful. Had a fox come right through our site. Recommend. Vail free shuttle .5 mile walk. Runs often throughout the day.

Beautiful campground. Some sites are right off the creek, so peaceful. Bathrooms are really clean and the staff are very friendly. Also real close to downtown vail.

Beautiful Site #12, a real lot of space with ample parking. Gore Creek below the campsite is only 50' away and sounds beautiful at night. Yes I-70 is audible yet through the night less traffic and tolerable with the sound of the stream.

Gore creek is a fantastic spot right near beautiful Vail. It's pretty quiet considering it's so close to I-70, and the amenities are VERY clean. We've stayed at Gore Creek campground multiple times and have never been disappointed. The camp hosts are always so nice and helpful as well.

Always a good time. Had a fire the first night. Then stage 2 fire ban. No worries hope they getting the big fires under control. Also we went to site 19 where a ranger taught us about nocturnal animals. Very cool
