We go here for the boat ramp access. It's a great location on Elk lake. Plenty of parking and their ramps are very nice and deep. The cost to launch as of August 2025 is $10, which is a fair price for the quality of the launch. If there was one con, it is that there are not real restrooms (porta potties) near the launch and there is about a 3/4 mile dirt road you will drive down to access the park. Sometimes the road is smooth sometimes it has not been. There is also a nice picnic area to hang out at as well.

The campground was absolutely beautiful and incredibly peaceful. There was plenty of easy access to the lake and stunning views all around. The facilities were clean and well-maintained. Vicki was especially helpful—she gave us great advice on everything to do in and around the campground. Highly recommend!

Great place to escape to. Campground has bathrooms and a little park for the kids. Also has a boat launch and beautiful northern MI views

Very nice quiet park with very nice, clean and up to date bathroom facilities. Showers are .25 cents for a 7 minute shower. Shower and bathroom stalls are limited but very nice. Our campsite is huge and beautiful and so peaceful. The waters of Elk Lake are clean, clear , refreshing, and so enjoyable. The young man who checked us in was very helpful and polite.

Well maintained campground with about 50 sites, shower, bathroom, a playground, beach and walking trail. There are two loops where there are campsites with a beautiful lake view. Most sites in the inner circles are not private. There may be a handful of sites with the lake view that's more private with vegetation around.

Great small campground. Lots are very spacious. Staff is friendly and very helpful. About 2 miles of trails thru woods and some open fields. Not too hilly. A very nice walk. With 50 some sites the beach is just the right size. Will definitely add this campground to our list of visit again.

Very nice campground with reasonable rates right on Elk Lake. Good boat launch area too. Most sites are big enough for campers and/or tents. Spent all week here and the bathrooms and showers were both clean every time I used them. Very good job of keeping the place nice. Showers are 25 cents for 5 minutes. The sign states 7 minutes but I timed them and they vary from one shower to the next 5-7 minutes. Wood is also available on site and delivered to your camp all for $5 (10 decent sized pieces). I fully intend on returning to this campground.
