My wife and I hiked through the punch bowl trail up to devil's alley and saw fat man's squeeze. Trails were challenging with the tree leaves covering where we were trying to get traction one stair step was loose to the point it could be a hazard but we made it and back up the backbone ridge to our vehicle just as the sun set. A bit of a challenge if you aren't very physically fit. Beautiful park and views. Would be back sometime.

We were really excited to take a hiking trip to Wildcat Den State Park. The trails were well maintained with lots of spots to sit and rest. There was so much to look at, the rock formative were beautiful- reminded me of Ledges and Dolliver. Hope to come back again to check out Cave Trail, which was closed at the time of our visit. The park was very busy, but we came on a weekend. If you are looking for solitude, maybe try a weekday. Despite the crowds on the trail and at the park/picnic benches there wasn't any trash or litter, and the historical sites/grist mill were interesting to see and tour. Getting to go inside the mill was a bonus, I hadn't realized it was open. This was a great place to catch some beautiful Iowa landscape, and be reminded that Iowa isn't so flat after all.

Wildcat Den State Park is amazing with great hiking trails a grist mill. The punch bowl section of the trail was really cool with awesome rock formations. The 5+ miles of trails were well-maintained and in great condition. The trails had a lot of ups and downs which provided a good challenge.

This park has the coolest rock formations, seen best taking Punch Bowl trail. You can get to Mill by trail, Mill Trail connects with other trails. When map says trails are “hard” it’s due to steep staircases, not length. Trails are well maintained and entirely shaded. Very impressed with this state park.

This is a beautiful State Park in Muscatine,Iowa. The trails are wide, the Punch Bowl Trail is fantastic. The Grist Mill is fun to walk through, lots of information on how a Grist Mill operated. Stunning views throughout the park. It is definitely worth a visit.

Great local place to come and stretch your legs and walk around. I really enjoyed it! It was nice day and plenty of dogs on leashes and kiddos having fun! Worth the drive for sure. Everything is clearly marked

An absolutely beautiful and great State Park to visit. There is a wonderful 4+ Mile hike route around the park with many pretty views along the way. The trails are a mix between gravel and dirt(muddy sometimes) so check the weather before hand if you don't want to slip and slide. Overall this is definitely a must visit place. Picnic spots, camping, and a creek to cool off in.

The mill is the highlight of the park in either the rain or shine. Many hiking trails that allow you to explore the park and see some neat rock formations.

We found a loop taking us over several bridges. Great walk. I found one tiny piece of garbage. Well maintained which I’d hard with the small budget from state. Bring your own map. Grist mill was beautiful even though we have very dry weather
