This is an awesome campground, but the amenities are lame because they don’t open until 9 AM. The gym, should be open at 6 AM, same as the hot tub. Waiting until nine sucks because I wake up early and I wanna beat the heat and the sunlight and enjoy my gym session and hot tub session in the morning. Who doesn’t? I mean, why can’t we go there and work out and go into the hot tub before 9 AM? The hot tub and gym are just empty and nobody can enjoy them until 9 AM. What the heck. Not to mention there’s literal duck and goose poo all over the place. Literally all over the basketball courts, all over the mini golf course, all over the grassy areas, it’s so poopy. There are houses being built next-door hundreds of brand new homes so enjoy this park while you can. Come for the wilderness lakes, stay for the goose poo. I walked my dog along the water and got attacked by about 15 different species of bird goose ducks who were laying eggs and attacking my poor little baby dog anytime she walked within 20 feet of one of these stupid prehistoric, flamingo birds.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights after running the Tough Mudder on March 21st. Check-in was prompt. We found our lot for our RV. Every lot seems to have a picnic table. The bathroom was clean and the shower water pressure was great. Each shower stall had a door and had a bench separated by a shower curtain so I was able to keep my change of clothes dry while in the shower. It also had a few hooks but my bag was heavy and I preferred to just put it on the bench. We ate our dinner on the picnic bench on our site. Then we walked around and lots of cute ducks and geese along the way. We even spotted a white heron. People passing by walking their dogs and everyone said hello and very friendly. We made it to the pool and the hot tub. There were 2 hot tubs. We went into the higher temperature one and watched the sunset. Several more people joined in and they all seemed to know each other; tight knit community. We had a great time and looked forward to nightly sunset hot tub which closed at 9 pm. Check-out was a breeze. Enjoyed our stay!

Very well maintained park but unfortunately there are numerous small ferall children running loose with no adult supervision and zooming around on electric bikes. It is scary to watch but, the realvwild life is al plus though.

Traveled with partner, traveled with pets Feb 26. 2026 Liked: cleanliness Disliked: property conditions & facilities Not a bad price, the "rangers" employee(s) working the guard entrance were helpful. Cabin was a little larger than expected, had one dog and one cat in the cabin (2 pet limit). The cabin was better than expected, had a decent but not completely amount of usable tools, silverware, and plates to eat/cook with. No storage for clothing anywhere in the cabin. Two hot plates and a propane outdoor BBQ make for a decent amount of ability to cook for yourself. The "roads" on the property were at best substandard condition. It rained a lot and most of all the "roads" were either flooded or washed out.

The entire place is in serious need of updates and repairs. It feels like the property is being neglected and slowly falling apart. Most of the facilities are outdated. The campground also has more of a long-term trailer park vibe than an actual camping environment, which really takes away from the experience. At the very least, the grounds should be better maintained and cleaned up. Overall, it just didn’t deliver the camping atmosphere I was hoping for.👎👎👎👎

I am rating this based on other campgrounds. As thousand trails goes it is one of the better parks sadly. Most of the sites are ok but it is tight unless you have an annual site. The service is good but very inconsistent. There are a lot of campers that are living in the park that just do not keep their area clean and that is really the issue with thousand trails in a nut shell. The signs say drive slow and you see people blowing thru the park much faster. The store could be so much better but it is only open 2 days a week right now. All in all it was a good but not great park.

Super impressed by TT Wilderness lakes! We have been living in our rv and frequent wilderness lakes! They do very well with providing lots of fun and activities! Joe has such a great personality and my kids have so much fun with him! I am forgetting many of the staff names at the moment.. but we’ve never had a bad experience. Everyone is so kind and helpful. Every time we come in we ask to be moved to be closer to the lodge for the kids and they always find a way to make it work. They are all genuinely good people and make the whole experience so great. We always look forward to coming back! Also.. they have the best pool according to the kids! It is their favourite resort so far. :) Recommend buying duck food too.. that was quite enjoyable!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Highly Recommend Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails RV Park! My husband, Jason Casillas, and I, Michele Casillas, had an absolutely fantastic stay at Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails RV Park, and we can’t say enough good things about our experience! From the moment we arrived, we were thrilled with our prime RV site location, which offered convenient and easy access to all the park’s amenities. Our spacious site was perfectly situated near the swimming pools, BBQ grills, laundry rooms, restrooms, and shower facilities, making our stay incredibly comfortable and hassle-free. The park’s facilities were top-notch, with a dedicated automated drop-off area for Amazon packages that added a modern touch of convenience. The housekeeping team deserves special praise for keeping the restrooms, showers, and other facilities spotlessly clean. The grounds were always beautifully maintained, with staff working diligently to ensure the park looked pristine. We felt incredibly safe throughout our stay, thanks to the friendly and vigilant park rangers who patrolled the grounds. A huge shoutout to Erma, Adam, and Mike—your warm, helpful, and attentive presence made all the difference! You truly went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable and enjoyable. What stood out most was the family-oriented atmosphere. It was heartwarming to see kids zooming around on their E-bikes, laughing and playing, while the “grown-up kids” followed along in golf carts decked out with vibrant LED lights—what a fun sight! The energy and joy in the park were contagious, making it a perfect environment for families and RV enthusiasts alike. We’re already looking forward to our next visit to Wilderness Lakes Thousand Trails RV Park. Thank you to the entire team for creating such a welcoming, clean, and fun experience. We highly recommend this park to anyone looking for a fantastic RV camping adventure! Warm regards, Michele & Jason Casillas

They recently switched to assigning sites. It would be helpful if they looked at your history regarding what sites you stayed in before they took over assigning sites. By doing so they could try to put you near your preferred site. (People are creatures of habit.) Activities they do are fun and appreciated, but they need to do more activities like other TT resorts. Wilderness Lakes has improved over the past year and a half. If the rangers were more cooperative and friendly it would improve the overall experience.

Did not book a room, had a campsite. 1st campsite issued had no power, had to go back to ranger station and get re-issued another spot. 2nd spot was good. Service was good, location was busy on a holiday weekend. Location was nice, lots of shady trees. Restrooms and shower were in decent shape and maintained. Kid friendly, easy to ride bikes, large pool area, bring a chair, not many out.

First off....... the staff there were very welcoming from the start. The staff at the ranger station showed GREAT social responsibility, very informal and helpful. We had our Oates family reunion there this year and many members are not use to the cabin camping outdoors. Let's just say they loved it. I think we'll be coming back, a great beautiful place with GREAT staff. It's hard nowadays to get a good sociable staff, so thanks to you!

I had a huge issue in Jean the ranger helped me out they are an amazing team member and really supportive to customer service. I didn't feel like I did anything wrong for asking for help and they allowed me to feel completely supported thank you Thousand Trails for training people the right way and thank you Jean for your personal touch.

1st visit to stay at Wilderness Lakes. Busy summer season. We had a nice level spot all the way in the back. Quiet, relaxing....just what we needed. Family visiting from Texas enjoyed the serenity. There was a race track of sorts for the boys to run their remote control vehicles.

They expect after covid for people to re adjust from the day they opened after that tragic time in our life. I do agree. The place is needing more than a face lift, but kind of ridiculous for a member for more than 20 years of and on.. very sad in my situation.. just hurt and disappointed 😞

The place was awesome. I'm already planning another trip with my kids. It's nearby a lot of activities outside of the grounds.
