So much habitat diversity, it's unbelievable! I've also been amazed at the variety of birds including something I haven't seen or heard in years- pheasants! I appreciate the hard work and dedication the DNR and other wildlife divisions have put into this place.

This was my favorite fishing lake especially for top water bass fishing. This place had giant bass. They decided to drain the lake several years ago to clean it up. And as you see in the videos it needs at least 2 more feet of water, Not only that but the vegetation is worst than before. It’s hard to maneuver around with a trolling motor especially at the boat dock. For those who love water fowl hunting I feel sorry for you since the season is around the corner. Please clean this lake since this is the only really good lake we have for fishing in Northwest Indiana!

Wish they had electricity for camping. We love fishing there. We were there today 6/18/24 still not ready for fishing.09/16/24 still very low water. Had a great day out there today. Went fishing in between the rain and caught a small bass UPDATE: Tried to fish there today from land. Very difficult because of all the vegetation growth in the water.

nice area that also great for hunting but BE AWARE area is heavily tick infested!!! I go for hikes with my dogs when no animals are in season and my dogs and myself have ticks on us every single time. I cant remember a time I have not had a tick on me when I was here.

This is the place to go if you are into hunting. The campground is close to the hunting area, so if you're sensitive to these things, then this is definitely not the place for you. But, otherwise the area is really beautiful. The man made lake is near the campground and it has hiking trails around it.

I usually enjoy fishing here due to the variety of fish available. However, this visit was very disappointing as the water was too low. We couldn't get back to most of the spots we wanted to go to, and we only had one bite in the four hours we were there. I would have given fewer stars, but I understand that it just reopened so it will take time for the water to get back to its normal level and for the fish to start biting again.
