Pros: very friendly staff, nice pool, nice rv sites, bathhouse was clean. Cons: so many flies, no cell or WiFi services, the campsites close to the bathhouse are very close to the road which has local traffic, for 3 of us to swim at the pool it was $20. The park is also pretty spread out, the campground is pretty far from the visitor center and pool. We love Arkansas parks and this was our 22nd park to visit, we loved the area but with devils den not far away we will probably camp there next time instead.

We had a fantastic, quiet, and relaxing stay at Withrow Springs State Park. The staff is wonderful—check-in was very smooth, and the rangers were visible throughout the day keeping the park clean and the trash cans emptied. The campsites are great. We had a spacious gravel pull-through with full hookups (50-amp, water, sewer) and strong water pressure. Our site had a separate parking area for our truck and an extra tent pad, with plenty of trees and shrubs giving us good privacy from neighbors. Most sites are a great size, though a few look like they might be tight for very long RVs. The park is very dog-friendly; our Golden Retriever loved the hiking trails (there is one conveniently located right across the road from the campground) and even found a couple of spots to splash in the water. The bathhouse is a little dated but was kept perfectly clean. One important tip: Be prepared to unplug! There is no AT&T cell service at the park. We brought our Starlink, but the heavy tree cover made the signal spotty at our specific site, though other sites may have better luck. Highly recommend this park for a peaceful nature getaway!

This park is so beautiful! You'll see nature here that you won't see elsewhere. The spring is amazing, runs year around, same temp. (super cold), and the park crew has fixed it up in such a way so that you can wade in it. The trails are well maintained. It has a nice little playground that is well kept. As I tell my kids, "the best playground that ever existed is nature".

Quiet, feels super secluded, but there is a Walmart less than 5 miles away, and a whole town a few miles away. Very convenient. 3 trails, combined about 6 miles. Great playground for kids, several really nice natural spring scattered around. Campground level, electric, water and sewer.

Came to hike the Dogwood Trail and find wildflowers. We weren’t disappointed! Tons of beautiful wildflowers and the dogwoods were in peak bloom. Also found a Praying Mantis egg case. The War Eagle trailhead is right across the street from Dogwood Trailhead. You can go down to the river. Beautiful view of the river and some nice rock formations. The visitor center gift shop is small but very nice. Restrooms available at the gift shop and at the campground. Very nice park!

First time camping in our Coleman 17R. Was a really good experience. Site is beautiful even with all the leaves gone.

We were here for one night, Nov. 6, so the multi-colored leaves were falling. Just incredibly beautiful. We really liked the park. It had a nice layout, nice site spacing and not at all crowded. Clean, nice bathrooms. An added plus: IT WAS A DARK SKIES CAMPGROUND!!!! It was perfect: spectacular fall colors, clear sky during the day and a supermoon at night.

There really wasn't much to see unless your were there for a camping and hiking experience. The park did have a swimming pool, and a ball field and basketball court, as well as numerous hiking trails.

Small visitor center but gets the job done. Bathrooms were clean and the park ranges were helpful and friendly. They are working on the bridge nearby so I could hear the construction going on while hiking but still a beautiful trail with overlook and creek below. Would definitely recommend the war eagle trail with overlook.

I completed the war eagle overview trail. Took me roughly 50 minutes to complete with some added exploring of the small "cave" (a bluff with an indent). The trail is well maintained, and the park ranger at the information booth/store was attentive. My only complaint is that the store lacked a variety of items to purchase. Was hopping for a better selection. Overall, it was a very nice park I would recommend for a short hike.

The war eagle trail is the best part of the park. As of 9/8/24 the other two trails are currently closed due to multiple trees being down. Park at the pavilion along 23 and walk across the highway to the trailhead to the hike. The sign is somewhat hidden behind some trees. The lookout branch has several spots with great views. If you check out all the views and complete the full loop it will be just at 2 miles. It’s a decent little hike with some incline. A little buggy in September. The little camp store is cute and has some nice quality little gifts ie mugs and t shirts.

I had a blast here a week ago. I left work at lunch it was such a beautiful day. The lady at the visitors center was in a great mood and a joy to talk to. I got a Withrow Springs shirt and hit the trails. My 2 dogs and I had a blast and the place to ourselves. We hiked Dogwood and War Eagle. I need more of this in my life!
