Great little campground for a county park. Water front sites are decent sized. The upper lots with full hookup are large. Good wifi reception throughout the entire place. Restrooms were clean. Lots and lots of deer everywhere

Stayed 4 days here! Had a waterfront view site. Worth the extra money. We were tent camping with water and electric. Not far from Birch run and Frankenmuth. About 20 to 30 min. It was a nice relaxing trip. Will definitely visit again.

We do rustic camping and its a perfect getaway up-north without going too up-north! The water is always warm and kids cannot get out! The camping spots are great anywhere by the water or the further part out, other spots have driveways for campers. Its family friendly and dog friendly, we always have great time camping here.

Our family would like to thank the staff who were working on Friday 11, July, 2025 for their help when one of our groups campsite flooded with the heavy rain. They allowed them to move their rig immediately, to another members site with approval for the extra cars and tents on one site. thanks so much.

I traveled from Tennessee (originally from Flint) to Wolverine Park. I was invited through friends to a cookout before I went back. I've been gone 30 years from Flint, so things definitely have changed! The park is awesome! Loved how you can set your trailer in different areas, take your boat out on the water! The park was clean, people were nice! I definitely will be back to enjoy Wolverine again! It was awesome!

This Campground was an unexpected treat. We had no idea we would encounter such a nice Campground. Our site was on the water and the pines and weather were amazing for our visit. Now if you want ALL the hookups, you may find yourself in an open area, with a pull through site, but for us sitting in our site overlooking the gorgeous lake was the sweet spot l, even without water and sewer hookup. Checkin was easy, and the park atmosphere and curious campers were very refreshing. We want to come back for sure.

Our 4 night stay here was very enjoyable. This campground is with buttercup beach on Holloway Reservoir. Once quite hours hit you can sit by your fire ring and not have to worry about a thing except relaxing! They have several different camping options i.e: Full hookup, water&electric, or just electric. They have many different size lots and surfaces as well. If you don't own a camper, you can pitch a tent here! Lots of deer, birds, squirrels, etc for wildlife lovers. The channel has a boat ramp and parking for people who have boats, canoes, kayaks, or jet skis. You can also rent kayaks here as well!

Beautiful campground. I had a great time while I was there, and I even had a spot to park a boat next to our campsite. Buttercup Beach was very clean, and the water was cool. I am looking forward to visiting again.

Site we had (102) would no way handle a 50' RV. Sites were right on top of each other. Rules were written but not enforced, little dogs yapping NON STOP. People had fencing, which is not allowed. The park was very clean and the staff was constantly picking up trash and keeping showers and bathrooms clean. Too much noise for my liking, constant engine noise from LOUD boats. Not my preferred environment. Rifle river is better IMO. Deer were casually feeding in the park, which was nice to see. All in all 3.5 star review from seasoned campers.

One of the nicer parks in Michigan Well maintained and large lots

Great place to camp! Especially if your a tent camper or use a pop-up that doesn't have a septic hook up. The location is perfect. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Over priced for the redness of the staff. But it is ran by genesee county so guess that's why they don't care.

Standard county campground with little to do. Once you've hiked the 1 mile trail, you've seen it all. Campsites weren't level and we're uncomfortably close to other campers. Your valuable free time could be spent at a better campground.

Really nice, friendly, nice sites just has no internet or cellular service in case of emergency.
