Our family moved to Michigan with our camper and stayed at Woodchip for 6 months. Woodchip is by far the most amazing place we have ever stayed. The staff is always quick to answer all of your questions and concerns. In the non-winter months, they make the weekends so fun for the families, especially the littles. In the winter, we still had access to the playground and lots of snow. Woodchip made this move a reality for us by providing a safe place to live while we began our journey here in Michigan. Whether you are coming for the weekend or a couple of months, I highly recommend Woodchip. You won't regret it, and you will make some amazing memories!

Woodchip campground is a great family friendly atmosphere. It is one of our families favorite campgrounds. We love coming every year during the fall festivals and we love that the pool is still open! The staff is friendly and helpful. The inner lots are a little small but the perimeter lots are a nice size. They have some lots with wooden platforms too which is nice. We also love that the jumping pillow and other activities are included in the price, it's so nice for a big family! Definitely would recommend!

It was our first time staying at Woodchip campground. They offered a lot of activities (fall themed) for the kiddos, plus a jump pad and playground, which we all appreciated. We didn't feel like we had to leave the campground to find things to do. It was great, with exception only to the barrel train which was driven a bit recklessly. The price (78$/night) is a bit expensive for camping in my opinion but we did appreciate the grounds were clean and well maintained. The bathroom stalls are VERY tight.

Clean. We stayed on the E sites adjacent to the pool. Sites were spacious and were handy in the rainy weather. Activities on a Halloween weekend were great for the kids. We would reserve again.

Woodchip Campground is a lovely family-friendly campground. Our kids loved the jump pillow, pool, and centrally located playground. The camp store is the best I’ve seen! It’s the perfect size without a huge number of sites. Well maintained. Bathrooms are sufficient. Friendly staff. We would go back again.

This might be our new favorite campground! It is small but has tons of activities and events that aren’t overcrowded. Perfect for kids of all ages. Everything is kept up beautifully and staff is all very friendly. One thing we didn’t love were the bathrooms and shower situation. Bathroom stalls are incredibly small and showers only have a curtain (which has an open exterior door right outside the curtain making it very uncomfortable) with no space to change clothes before or after shower. Overall we loved this campground and would definitely recommend it to anyone!

Woodchip is a blast with young kids and/or for newer or less adventurous campers. The location close to town means if you forgot something you are near Meijer! There were TONS of activities each day and we stayed at the playground sites which meant our kids played with lots of other kids all day. Yes, that meant a louder site but we knew that going in so we weren’t too bothered. One thing is the sites and bathroom stalls are rather cozy. They are very clean and well taken care of, just will be an adjustment if you are used to country camping! Our kids loved the pool and spent lots of time there. The bounce pillow was also a hit, but we recommend going in the morning before it gets too warm or in the evening when it’s cooled down a bit as the surface gets hot and shoes are not allowed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and appeared to really enjoy working there. Oh and bonus..I didn’t see a single mosquito and we were there in late June.

Nice clean family campground not far from Grand Rapids. The reservation process and check-in process were convenient and easy. As we arrived on a Saturday in June, the park was very busy. However, our site was easy to access, and the park was very quiet in the evening. We found Sunday at the park to be much quieter and spacious. As we were in the area for a private party, we did not participate in any of the many activities that the park offers. If we need to return to GR again, we will definitely stay at this RV park.

Mothers Day 2025 was our second stay at Woodchip Campground! We absolutely love it. The friendly staff and quiet overall nature of the campground is wonderful! We have another week long stay coming up in August with another family. Cant wait to get back!

We had the BEST time at Woodchip! We have been camping for about 4 years now and Woodchip has always been on our list to check out but we just never made it out until this year. I can tell you it has been our favorite campground we have ever stayed at! It’s a good size campground but not huge which we liked because it wasn’t overpacked with people. There were so many activities for kids all throughout the day that kids of all ages could enjoy. Our daughter has asked us every day of when we can go back! The staff was so friendly and for Mother’s Day they gave out flowers and had free massages! Like it doesn’t get any better than that! Everything was included with the price which was awesome. We will be coming back every year for sure!

We went to Woodchip for the first time this past weekend. The activities were amazing and being able to swim in the very nicely heated outdoor pool in late October was phenomenal. We loved the app, giving us the ability to track what was going on, and interacting with the campground using that platform. The food truck they brought in was amazing and we all had a great time and look forward to returning next year!

Our family enjoys camping at Woodchip Campground. We have stayed here for the past 3 years during the summer even though we are local. It’s great for a weekend away. Our boys look forward to the glow wagon ride, jumping pillow, and especially the bubble foam party.

We love woodchip! It’s a great place for families with kids to enjoy! They have great facilities and so many different activities! The kids are kept very busy and the staff is always extremely helpful and friendly!
