Great spot to camp for a fall trip. Reservoir hiking trail is easy but very worthwhile for the fall foliage. Love that they have kayak and canoe rentals to go on the water. Well maintained campsites, bathrooms and showers.

My husband and I stayed two nights at Woodford State park. We hiked the trails and enjoyed our lakeside camp site. We heard the loon and owls which we enjoyed. We found lots of wood around our campsite and you can also buy wood from the staff. Great stay. Vermont state parks are worth the drive.

We visited Woodford Lake for the first time to go kayaking and had a great experience. After maneuvering around the rocks walking to the launch area, we made it to the water, which was calm and peaceful. The lake is a great size for kayaking—perfect for spending an hour or two exploring. One of the highlights was seeing and hearing the loons, which added to the serene atmosphere.

There isn’t a designated beach area, which would be a nice addition—especially for swimmers who currently have to share the space with people launching kayaks and other watercraft.

After kayaking, we sat along the shore, grilled some food, and took in the natural beauty. All in all, it was a relaxing and enjoyable visit.

Sites that have access to the water is always a huge plus in my book! Well cared for campground with friendly staff. Campers have their own private beach which is also really awesome. It was a busy campground especially for a Wednesday night. Love to see it!  Everyone was respecting quiet hours though.

A really nice state park with a pond(or lake?). The bathroom could be better, but we’re camping so what did I expect. My friends and I got three lean-tos. The people that managed this campground are very friendly and receptive. There’s a nice loop trail to go hiking that wraps around the pond/lake. We saw Smokey the Bear while we were here too! Great times!
