This small park has full hookups at all sites and sites are paved. It also has a beach area with pavilion, newer Visitor Center, trails with some new bridges and a lot of trees. A few sites even overlook Lake Bennett. But, many sites are very unlevel including ours, #8. It was about 4 1/2" off and it took a lot of maneuvering to correct this. Our site had more than the usual amount of debris that we picked up. Campers, please don't litter! I'm glad we were able to visit this lovely park!

Great lil spot! Clean and friendly, nice camp areas with running water on the lots, each with fire pits, tent pads and a picnic table. Lots of wood available to cut for a fire and beautiful views of the lake. I would recommend packing bug spray though! Also, there's volleyball and basketball areas so bring a ball!! :)

Great little swim spot, friendly staff on the lifeguard stand, and in the concession! The food is awesome and the prices are reasonable. They offer peddle boats, and kayaks for rent (and a launch if you have your own kayak/canoe) and the park has lovely trails for walking or mountain biking. The parking is ample and they have campsites/RV spaces as well! Be sure to visit the Visitor Center, they have a little shop that's fun to enjoy.

Enjoyed a warm, sunny day at the swim beach swimming and paddle boating. Learned about the history of the Wooly family that the park is named after.

We had fun! Free to get in. Free WIFI! There’s space to kayak, a swimming area roped off, fishing is good, several people camping (tents), and family friendly. The water is dark and murky —so didn’t swim. There’s sand in the swimming area and kids were having a ball. Bathrooms. Trails. Kayak kiosk. Cell reception is spotty. Great little State Park.

Enjoyed a nice hike on Huckleberry Trail! Great scenery and easy to moderate hike.

Shocked how nice it is. There's an artesian well spring right beside our camp grounds, spot #1, which is also next to this little lake. Kinda pricey, but nice. Very clean men's room with nice shower. Polite guests. Easy to collect firewood, at the first of April. I've camped in far worse places for the same money. There were two mounds of beaver dams (best guess) right beside our campsite!

Walked trail around lake. Fall weather, trail covered in leaves, some rocks, tree roots, may be treacherous for older walkers. 3 1/2 to 5 miles depending on trails taken. Nice little lake, beach area for swimming and kayaking in warmer weather.

Beautiful day spent at Woolly Hollow. Definitely a great little spot not too far from Little Rock. The huckleberry trail that goes around the lake is the perfect distance.

Woolly Hollow State Park is a quick drive from Greenbrier, Arkansas and is based on a dam lake, Bennett Lake. This park has a somewhat secluded type of appeal offering a broad spectrum of amenities, such as hiking, biking, camping, picnic tables, snack bar, swimming, and more. Using the idiom, "just for kicks" might best describe the photo that includes a rather bewildering permanent "no swimming" sign next to the designated swimming area and "no picnicking" sign next to a picnic table. Sorry, this just couldn't be resisted! On a more serious note, you'll discover great hiking, easy access to the lake, plenty of room to move without crowds, clean restrooms, and a pristine Visitor Center. Of particular note, was the customer service received at the Visitor Center. We were treated as special, unique, and received trail direction that later saved us from getting lost...and we are experienced hikers. The woman we spoke with even went so far as to ask us to call if we got lost. In a word, IMPRESSIVE! The only drawback we found regarding the trails were the obvious lack of maps marking your actual location and proximity when you're on the trails at various points. As a result, it is fairly easy to get lost, so bring plenty of water, particularly at this time of year.
