Opened in 1992, 20 miles of multi use dense forest to hike, bike, backpack, horse ride. A beautiful lake for fishing, boating, swimming. An 18 hole golf coarse, and a campground. There is something for all ages and a great family place to be.

This is a wonderful place to camp. There are many camp spots that provide nearly total privacy with surrounding trees and rolling banks between them and other sites. The park is dog friendly and there is plenty of room for parking and bringing your toys such as boats or kayaks. Some sites are even accessible by boat only. There is a nice shower house with laundry facilities and there are several bathrooms located throughout the camp ground. They sell firewood and ice at the check in booth at the entrance. Most sites have water and electric (50/30/15 amp) available for RV hookup, and there is a sewage dump station located near the shower house. There is a nearby boat ramp for access to Yatesville Lake a few hundred yards over the hill from the park entrance. Yatesville’s campground is also adjacent to nearby Lawrence County Park which also offers campgrounds, a beach and swimming area, kayak rentals, a general store, miniature golf, and a lot of other amenities. Plenty of shoreline fishing is also available in Lawrence County Park for those who don’t have access to a boat. You can camp at Yatesville and still take advantage of the amenities offered at Lawrence County Park. There is also a larger golf course, Eagle Ridge, very close by, and horseback riding is offered as well. These campgrounds are also not too far from the main highway about 5-7 miles back where there is a Walmart close by for any essential supplies needed.

One of my favorite places to camp and get away. Beautiful Park, with nice, clean camp sites. Staff is friendly and helpful. Tucked 4 miles from Rt. 32, so noise isn't an issue. The Lake and Golf Course are also fantastic. The Lake is very big and beautiful. The Folf Course will provide you with gorgeous views, and some challenging shots. Only 12 minutes from Louisa. Well worth adding to your bucket list!

There are 2 camping areas here, and both are worth the stay. They have a small store, and the host is more than helpful and kind. We drove in from Fort Campbell and this was our first time in this past of Eastern Kentucky. The area is gorgeous, going to the local stores (walmart) has nice people, and everyone wasn't in a rush. At the campsite and surrounding area was just a breath of fresh air (quite literally). The one thing I would like to point out is the state park tent area isn't handicap accessible, you would have to stay in the other area, which is gorgeous and with site parking and handicap bathroom. Other than that, I would highly recommend.

We had a great time at our Hike-in/Boat-in campsite at Yatesville Lake State Park. The campsite was well maintained and the lake view is just amazing. All the staff members are very welcoming and very very helpful. The bathrooms at the Campground were very clean, there was a small bathroom at campsite as well (2-3 campsites share one bathroom is what I guess). During our visit we visited Lawrence county park haunted hayride that is very close to the campgrounds and it was one of the best experiences. Cost to attend the hayride was just $7 and 40-minute hayride just did justice to what we paid. The money is raised for a very good cause and all the performers do their job pretty well!! All in all very good camping experience of "Fall Camping" at Yatesville Lake State Park. Me and my friends loved it!!

I might be a little biased, considering I’m from Louisa, Kentucky. But, I’ve been to Yatesville Lake State Park many times in the past and it’s amazing. It always has beautiful scenery and great campgrounds and cabins to stay at. Could be a little expensive to stay, but my family has been running the business for the cabins so when we go, we usually get a discount! Yatesville also has horse trails and a putt-putt golf area at the entrance. If you come around Halloween, there’s a haunted hayride that’s really fun, and actually pretty spooky! Way more put together than the Fallsburg Fearplex. Quite enjoyable. If you visit Louisa, you can’t pass up Yatesville Lake!

"I like how it's small enough but still has a lot in store, I only come here to walk/stroll but that is why I go." "I would rather go to a place like this than one big park or just a plain lake, this place is not so remote to the point of just being too much out of the way, Would not to be going out of my way just for a walk/stroll, I guess it would depend upon rather or not you think that it is worth it to drive or walk/bike hours just to get somewhere so that you can take a stroll." "I am glad it is not that far away! I hope that they keep the management up on the facilities of Yatesville Lake State Park." "Nice place to take kids and family."
