Yellowhead RV Park & Campground is a peaceful spot just off Highway 5, right by Swift Creek. The sites are spacious and shaded, with a mix of pull-thru RV spots and tent areas. You’ll find clean washrooms, free hot showers, a sani-dump, and even laundry on-site. There’s a small store at the office for basics, and WiFi works decently near the front. Parking is easy, and the campground is walkable to Valemount’s town centre — handy for grabbing a bite or supplies. It’s pet-friendly, and the salmon run in the creek is a bonus if you’re around late summer. No playground or pool, but it’s quiet and well-kept, ideal for a stopover or a few nights of mountain air.

So glad we came during salmon spawning to see that amazing feet of nature! Great place and the noise wasn't too bad from the highway!

Beautiful campsite with excellent facilities. Very clean, lots of space and great viewing for the spawning salmon. We were in a tent and could hear the road and railroad a bit, though not a game stopper. Highly recommend

We love this campground! We stay here every time we pass through. Sites are nice and easy to get into. Lots of trees make the setting feel cozy. There is an awesome creek that runs alongside. The bathrooms are clean and the showers are nice. No complaints at all and we will be back!

We stayed one night on May 20, 2025. We arrived without a reservation but there were many options available. We had our Tear Drop Trailer and only required a tent site. Kathy, the lady we met at check-in was helpful, informative, friendly and accommodating. One of the many things we really appreciated was the owners approach to protecting the environment and in particular the creek where Salmon spawn annually. The spot we wanted in the campground we were not able to have because it was too close to the creek out of concern for the banks of the creek and the salmon. We were very impressed with their responsible approach and unwillingness to risk the habitat. The campground was spotless and very well manicured. The showers were clean and there was amply hot water. There were also laundry facilities but we never needed those. YES, we would definitely recommend this campground and hope to be able to stay again ourselves!
