Every year our family tries to come here for at least 1 holiday. Every year we say its the last because it keeps going downhill. It's such a shame it could be great. The staff is usually all very young teenagers who don't really know what to do in sticky situations. The scheduled games and activities are a joke. No music or bands anymore, and usually the camp store is even closed. The roads are so bad kids can't ride their bikes. Needless to say this was the last straw for us.

We live in the Louisville area and have tried the mammoth cave Jellystone. We wanted to try this one and compare because it’s about the same distance away. This campground is decently sized. It has a few tent spots, plenty of rv spots, and cabins. They only have one bathroom/shower area to serve the WHOLE camp. They have a jumping pillow, a small playground, a splash pad, pools, and a rec pavilion. Jellystone is known for its activities, which is the whole point of it. This whole place is ran by teens. I’d say the oldest person there was maybe 19 all weekend. They would always start the activities early, making you miss it. They were very halfhearted in the activities. There was a morning stretch with yogi bear and they did two stretches, couldn’t think of any more, played a song, and it was over. The whole activity was under five minutes. It’s a dumb thing to be mad about but the character activities are something that made us choose this campground. The bathrooms did not get cleaned the entire weekend. There was only one bathroom and the garbage was overflowing and covering the floor. If there’s only one bathroom, it needs to be monitored pretty frequently. It’s the last weekend in September and the pool was still open which was a pleasant surprise. Thankfully my party got there earlier than me and let me know so I was able to throw in some bathing suits. This is rare in Indiana but it was nice. However, their food cafe that sits in the pool are was closed for the season. I have no clue why they would close during busy Halloween weekends. I never saw it advertised so I planned to order pizza there and count that as one of my meals. I had to run to the store and buy food because I was counting on that. It made no sense to have the pool open but no food. The trick or treating was super underwhelming. We’ve been to holiday world’s campground, lake Rudolph, and Halloween weekends are huge there. They had less than 20 people pass out candy. Being in the middle of two jellystone campgrounds, I probably wouldn’t stay at this one again. They didn’t have mini golf and other amenities my kids enjoyed like they do at other campgrounds.

Went here for Labor Day weekend and left early. The campers beside us were playing loud music all day and night. They were drinking and smoking pot. One night at 3am they were arguing and throwing trash everywhere. There was a camper and 3 tents in the site with 6 cars. The campground does not enforce any rules and the staff was very unfriendly. This is supposed to be. Family campground for kids. Will never go back there. I don’t recommend campground!!

We had a great time at Jellystone near Monroe Lake! The water park was definitely the highlight of our stay—our kids loved the slides, splash areas, and pools, and it made for hours of fun and cooling off in the summer heat. The staff we encountered were very kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There were a few minor drawbacks worth noting so future visitors can plan ahead. Some of the equipment and amenities around the grounds could use a little maintenance—there were a few things that were broken or worn down, which didn’t ruin our trip but was noticeable. Also, food service is only available on the weekends, so if you’re visiting during the week, be sure to pack your own meals or plan to bring a lunch with you. Overall, Jellystone near Monroe Lake is a fun and enjoyable place for families to relax, play, and make memories. With the water park, friendly staff, and plenty of activities, it’s a spot we’d recommend if you’re looking for a kid-friendly getaway in the area. Even with the small inconveniences, the positives far outweighed them, and we left feeling like it was time and money well spent.
