We live in the Louisville area and have tried the mammoth cave Jellystone. We wanted to try this one and compare because it’s about the same distance away. This campground is decently sized. It has a few tent spots, plenty of rv spots, and cabins. They only have one bathroom/shower area to serve the WHOLE camp. They have a jumping pillow, a small playground, a splash pad, pools, and a rec pavilion. Jellystone is known for its activities, which is the whole point of it. This whole place is ran by teens. I’d say the oldest person there was maybe 19 all weekend. They would always start the activities early, making you miss it. They were very halfhearted in the activities. There was a morning stretch with yogi bear and they did two stretches, couldn’t think of any more, played a song, and it was over. The whole activity was under five minutes. It’s a dumb thing to be mad about but the character activities are something that made us choose this campground. The bathrooms did not get cleaned the entire weekend. There was only one bathroom and the garbage was overflowing and covering the floor. If there’s only one bathroom, it needs to be monitored pretty frequently. It’s the last weekend in September and the pool was still open which was a pleasant surprise. Thankfully my party got there earlier than me and let me know so I was able to throw in some bathing suits. This is rare in Indiana but it was nice. However, their food cafe that sits in the pool are was closed for the season. I have no clue why they would close during busy Halloween weekends. I never saw it advertised so I planned to order pizza there and count that as one of my meals. I had to run to the store and buy food because I was counting on that. It made no sense to have the pool open but no food. The trick or treating was super underwhelming. We’ve been to holiday world’s campground, lake Rudolph, and Halloween weekends are huge there. They had less than 20 people pass out candy. Being in the middle of two jellystone campgrounds, I probably wouldn’t stay at this one again. They didn’t have mini golf and other amenities my kids enjoyed like they do at other campgrounds.

We had a great time at Jellystone near Monroe Lake! The water park was definitely the highlight of our stay—our kids loved the slides, splash areas, and pools, and it made for hours of fun and cooling off in the summer heat. The staff we encountered were very kind, helpful, and welcoming, which made the experience even better. There were a few minor drawbacks worth noting so future visitors can plan ahead. Some of the equipment and amenities around the grounds could use a little maintenance—there were a few things that were broken or worn down, which didn’t ruin our trip but was noticeable. Also, food service is only available on the weekends, so if you’re visiting during the week, be sure to pack your own meals or plan to bring a lunch with you. Overall, Jellystone near Monroe Lake is a fun and enjoyable place for families to relax, play, and make memories. With the water park, friendly staff, and plenty of activities, it’s a spot we’d recommend if you’re looking for a kid-friendly getaway in the area. Even with the small inconveniences, the positives far outweighed them, and we left feeling like it was time and money well spent.

Where to even start!?! I guess I will start with Tina where out adventure started. Months ago I contacted Tina about booking a party for my daughter turning 5! Tina was amazing throughout that process. So much so we booked a cabin for the weekend and my sister in law followed suit by also booking a cabin. Check in was super easy and the staff even more friendly. Our cabin was clean and cool when we arrived "super appreciated in the heat". We were surprised at how many activities they offered constantly throughout the day all weekend. So much so we needed a longer stay because we wanted to do them all. The water park was very fun and refreshing. The jump pillow had just been replaced so that was nice as well. Check out was just as easy. We had rented the party room which was nice, clean, and updated. The room was private and had its own entrance straight to the water park. The party package also came with pass Bracelets and a visit from a bear of your choice "we picked Yogi of course". Tina and her staff were all so friendly and accommodating. They made our experience so great my family and friends are all planning their own visits now. My sister who lives in the condos across the street came in with a full ag of goodies she purchased at the ranger station. She was so excited she said she was shopping like a tourist! I honestly can't recommend this place enough! I read a few reviews that were a bit negative. To those reading those reviews I would tell you many of those people needed to read the policy's and rules and they would have had a better experience. You can visibly see that the camp ground is working on updating the things that need attention. Seeing work being done is better than being things neglected. I guess it's a matter of perspective. Long story short.... it's amazing and so is Tina and her staff!

We were not thrilled with the country music playing when we arrived. We expressed our concern to a staff member who was then reprimanded for communicating our concerns as well as others to management. The music was not censored for children which we felt was inappropriate for a family setting. The music however was changed the next day. There were a couple issues with staff attentiveness as well. 1. After the storm on Sunday it took over 2 hours for them to turn the splash pad back on. 2. One of the splash pad gates were locked after the pool had reopened. We told the staff, they came out and observed that it was in fact locked but never unlocked it. 3. The bouncy houses were turned off over 24 hours. 4. Several of the scheduled activities were changed at the last minute. 5. Low staffing/long lines in the ice cream bar. 6. No pizza again. On a more positive note, we really enjoyed the night swim on Saturday! Would love to see some sundae toppings at the ice cream shop! We are avid customers at this location and really love our time here! Hope this review can provide constructive criticism that is helpful.

First time staying but definitely won’t be my last. Rustic camping was super peaceful and mostly shaded. Super close to walking trails with beautiful waterfalls and cliff views. The food truck had amazing food and even coffee! Lots of activities for little kids, teenagers, adults, seniors and the fur babies too. The staff is absolutely amazing and always going above and beyond to accommodate their guests. The bathrooms, showers and the grounds are super clean too. I only wish I could give them more than 5 stars.

This was our second year going to the yogi bear campground for vacation and we had a blast. I definitely recommend going if you have young to preteen aged children they'll love it. The only thing we didn't like was the queen sized spring mattress in the deluxe cozy lodge. It's really really uncomfortable (you feel every. single. spring.) we had to take the futon mattress and put it on top of the queen mattress just to make it somewhat comfortable. So maybe think about getting a new mattress for future guests.

My kids LOVED it here! They had a very well stocked camp store, the food truck was great and well priced. My kids could not be pulled away from the water area. The sites were clean and level. We only stayed one night, but it was fun. Thank you so much to the owners, who were so delightful to work with. My only suggestion would be to increase the signage before the turn off the street. Both rigs in our party missed the turn and had to go to the school to turn around and come back.

This was our second stay at Yogi Bear's Jellystone Park @ Lake Monroe. We went for the first time last year and just went again this past weekend. It is amazing what a difference a year makes. Clint has put so much heart and soul into this place. It is so evident when you arrive. The full hook-up and pull through sites are great. There is plenty for space to spread out and enjoy your site. Everything is close and family friendly. The staff has done a great job of creating events that kids of all ages don't want to miss out on. Pools are very well kept even in spite of the cicadas this year. I tip my hat to Clint, and his family for poring into this place. I also want to thank his staff for supporting his vision. Don't think twice if you are considering a stay whether it is a tent camp, travel trailer or their great cabins. You won't regret it.

One of the few places that we've found that do activities through the week. Splash pad and pools breast I've ever experienced. Beautiful, clean, well stocked store. Good trailer with excellent hot food. Ice cream bar. Got to speak with owner, super nice and has big plans. All the staff were great with kids.
