Excellent wooded campground inside Lafayette. Miles of quality walking trails and quiet park. Bathrooms need a code, gate locks after dark (key code entry). 30/50amp service and water at every pad. 1 dump station on the way in/out of the park. No pads have dump stations. Go check out the museum! Great playground for kids.

Nice little city park, lots of shade, right in town. Reasonable price ($28/night), friendly helpful camp host.

I stayed here about a month ago in a 30' toy hauler camper. It was a beautiful park and the water pressure was good, no funny smells. I have a filter but it's just a basic one on the hose. Electricity was good, no surges detected. The site I was in was pretty level, but the road getting to the sites has a steep downward slope, a tight turn to get to some spots for longer rigs and could use a little repaving/leveling. Also, the dump station is at the very entrance to the park so if you're using a portable tank for waste just keep in mind it's about a 1/4 mile with some hills and some rough patches of road. I also found that the upper park is very busy on the weekends, causing some people to use the dump station area as overflow parking - so plan your dump accordingly! The trails in the park were gorgeous! I really loved staying there with my dog, and I think that was one of his favorite stops so far! The spacing between sites was pretty good, and it wasn't busy when I was there so we were all spaced out. It was quiet and gated, I felt very safe staying there, though I would definitely still lock up any outdoor items, etc. Some reviews reported this being a bad neighborhood. There were some rough areas about a mile away, but this neighborhood seemed very safe to me. It was a little noisy on the weekend from the park above the campground, but that gets cleared out at sunset. I read some reviews about non-campers using the bathrooms. I used my own, so I'm not sure of the condition, but it seemed the bathhouse was accessible to both campers and park patrons. I have family in the Lafayette area and definitely plan to stay again!

this is a great campground & 5 star location on the immediate edge of Lafayette Louisiana... The perfect launch point to explore this charming town. At only $28 (Jan 2023) this is a great deal as well. Don't expect nee upgrades or remodeled but nearly every site has electricity & water. it is a beautiful/peaceful spot next to a well to do middle-class residential area. Also, was nearly empty when we visited in Jan 2023, so it's a great last-minute stop to get away from rest stops and roadside camping, to recharge and rest up!

Campground is convenient to town while being in a nature/hiking park area. We arrived late one evening, but the self check‐in worked smoothly. It is gated, but the code is posted at the check-in building, so I wouldn't call it secure. Be careful which site you pick if rain is forecasted, since some spots flood. Two nice disk golf courses make for good hiking. Park with playground and pavilion. They hadn't picked up trash in some time. 50 amp electric & water at site. Dump station & water at entrance. Stayed in cold January.

A very quiet place to enjoy nature. Electric and water hook up.Dumpstation and potable water fill as you leave or if your just in need to dump and fill its outside the gates no charge. The hiking here is great! Would definitely stay again. We paid 28.oo a night.

The pads in the campground need to be improved they are crumbling and moss covered but it is an interesting park with lots of boardwalks above the swampy areas and hiking trails and you are isolated from street noise. Interesting park and campground. No sewer at the sites. Not sure who owns it, but the fees are reasonable.

This is a small park. There are great walking trails here. There is also a small nature center. There is an rv dump station and drinking water available. There are hookups in the campground. The price was very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

This place was great and we will definitely go back! The only reason it looses a start is because their showers were kinda horrible.. and painful.. but we LOVED the trails and hope to come back and kayak when the water is up, and play disc golf!
