Location is great. I love the lake views. However, we came here with the understanding there were showers. No showers. Both bath houses did not have working showers, and one bathroom only had one working women's commode. There were NO notices posted anywhere. I realized it once I was in the shower, all my stuff ready, and realized no water. It wasn't until after we talked to a camp host (who was friendly), did we find out they didn'twork.. We left free camping with a better toilet situation for this. So if showers are important, don't come here. If showers aren't important, then this is a great place. Lots of lake fun. Many of the sites with lake are right on top of each other.

Nice campsite and the hosts are very helpful. Loved the amenities. Fire pits are great size, love the fact there's bathrooms, drinking water and dumpsters everywhere. Would have given 5 stars, except there is ZERO shade structures anywhere. The sun really beats down and because of the way the land lies, every single shade structure we TRIED to set up turned into a sail with the wind. We brought several shade structures, but the wind pulled all of them out of the ground within seconds. Got totally scorched, and my boyfriend got sun sick because we had no place to retreat to out of the sun. Would have been fine if we had a camper or something other than tents, but we only had tents. We couldn't use our tent to get shade, because the wind was so bad, we had to take the rain fly off to keep the poles from snapping. I feel like if there were built in poles or even built in canopies over the picnic tables, the place would have been perfect. Also, the tent pads could use more tie downs. The wind (like I mentioned) was really terrible, and we were worried that it was going to snap out fiberglass tent poles. All in all, though, a great campground. Would advise tenting people to bring something shade-wise that's able to stand up to the wind.
