Hickory Creek Park: RV Camping in Lowell, AR

This lake is NASTY, bathroom DIRTY.

I’ve never had a problem with paddling to keep myself afloat, this lake is eerie.

My gosh even my mom who knows how to keep herself afloat almost drowned here, it’s like the paste of the water is thick and hard to swim.

PLEASE keep a warning sign of venomous snakes or animals that could be in the body of water, near where people usually dive off.

- I’ve never liked the bathroom one bit, every time we came here when I was young.

Also if you’re reading this, PICK UP AFTER YOURSELF! no one wants to pick up after your mess.

The tables are always dirty.

I am a 65-year-old disabled man. I recently spent four nights at Hickory Creek Campground. I was very pleased with how nice and clean the campground was and how peaceful it was the whole time. There was one incident that I must Inform others about if you happen to walk off from something DON'T expect it to be there when you get back. As I said, I'm a 65-year-old disabled man living on a very limited income and fishing is one thing I really enjoy. I was fishing over by the boat ramp 1 afternoon and when I left I forgot my tackle box with ALL OF MY TACKLE  IN IT . The very next morning I noticed my Tackle Box gone and I remembered then where I had it last when I went back over to get it needless to say it had been stolen. I can't imagine someone would think a person would walk away from someone like that and not come back for it when they noticed it missing. I can only hope whoever stole my tackle will enjoy it and get lots of good use out of it and I hope they Sleep well at night.

If you’re tent camping, wouldn’t recommend staying here unless you’re planning to stay up (very) late or bring earplugs. I’ve never stayed in a campground that had such a lack of common courtesy in the general attitude of many campers. None of the stated restrictions seem to be enforced despite watching two park rangers drive through.

Day and night: loud music, yelling (adults and kids), and tons of cars. General vibe was a weird mix of giant house party and giant field trip with no chaperones.

Campground itself was set in a pretty area and most of the sites seemed decent, just close together. I stayed in the first loop and the sites were pretty much on top of each other until you got near the bathrooms. The bathroom door slammed loudly, so I imagine that made it up for them. Flushing toilets, which is nice.

Probably a fun spot for RVs and groups. Wouldn’t lose money and sleep tent camping here again.

We had a great time. Our spot was close to bathroom & showers. Had a beautiful view of lake. We have been going there for 5 years, & we always enjoy it. Hosts were very nice, & we always meet very nice people there when camping.🥰.   Harvey & Tracy Davis

We always have a great relaxing time at camp. Hickory Creek provides some spacious sites..some beautiful sunrise's and it's somewhat easy to navigate, even with some of the larger 5th wheels.

The park attendants are usually very friendly and a good source of information.

The upside was the campground itself was beautiful but only two restrooms for the entire Campground and they were not very clean in fact the ladies restroom was unbearable kind of a kind of a bummer

Park is nice.  Bathrooms are horrific and a disgrace.  Black mold growing significantly in mens shower areas.  Word is they lost their cleaning contract, so noone cleans it.  BAD!

We managed to get one of our favorite sites right by the lake. It has electric. There are several water faucets around the park to fill up your freshwater tank. There is also a dump station. There is a camp host at the campground. Reservations can be made online.

This is a decent campground.  It's very much "suburban camping," meaning it's certainly not wilderness, the campsites are really close together, and not much between you and your neighbor.  Probably better for RV than rent camping. But being close to town, it was easy to get to the many activities available in Fayetteville.

Bathrooms were a bit more than walking distance from our campsite, but pretty clean.  Had 50 amp, 30 amp, and 110v outlets at each site.  Also had a picnic table and grate over the for pit for cooking.

Hickory Creek Park is a beautiful spot perfect for a family outing or a peaceful retreat. The park features well-maintained trails, lovely picnic areas, and plenty of open space for activities. The creek adds a charming touch, making it a great place for fishing or simply enjoying nature. The clean facilities and friendly atmosphere make it a delightful destination. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the outdoors! Very busy on sunny weekends

Nice campground. Could use more showers, flush toilets, and a better swim area. Good local restaurant close by in the marina. Had a good time, saw lots of wildlife.

Pleasantly surprised. The staff is great. Only strike is very cold showers (no hot water).
