One of the best campsites I've been to. Clean restrooms, Hot water and great hosts. Recommend a hundred percent.

Everything was going fine until I fell into the toilet trying to retrieve my sunglasses. Now I look and smell like ——, 3 stars.

I camp there once a year with friends and families. It is very hospice and convenient for the outdoorsy enthusiast if you don't mind the camp strict rules and regulations. Alots of sandy area at the beach for young folks to play in the water or fishing. Make sure you have a boater card if you are using a Jet Ski. I recently left my Ugly stik fishing poles there at site 232 last weekend on 6/14/2026.

Horrible experience with neighbors who came in on my third night blasting music and drinking from sun up to sun down. Camp hosts three spots up did NOTHING to mitigate this! I asked the neighbor politely to turn his music down and he TURNED IT UP stating they could be loud until 10 pm. This was not loud music, this was obnoxious, rattle my windows double speaker nonsense at 9:4p pm. Sadly, I do nothing I will return if the camp hosts don't patrol unwanted behavior.

We had a fantastic stay at Camp Edison! We stayed in a trailer with full hook-ups, and everything worked perfectly. The back-in sites were easy to access and spaced appropriately, giving us a comfortable amount of privacy. The entire campground was beautiful and well-maintained. The bathrooms stood out—they were very clean and looked freshly painted, which we really appreciated. Our kids had an absolute blast exploring the area, and even though our first night brought a full-on thunder and lightning storm, it made the experience even more memorable. Overall, Camp Edison is a great spot for families looking for a scenic, clean, and well-run campground. We’ll definitely be back!

We went on 7/25/2025. Camping area was nice. Bathroom were kept clean. There’s a small store that carries anything you might forgot to pack. When we got there was late at night. The people when we arrived at the booth were extra nice, very informative. Can’t say that about the lady that took our check out permit. When we left our campsite we when down to the beach just to check it out and maybe stay for a bit more since check out is 10 or 11 don’t remember. We decided not to because there was a lot of people. When we were driving out Edison the check out lady was very rude and said how we got away with that, not got caught and fined! Like we knew we weren’t supposed to do that! I thought you were just to check out from your camping site not the whole Camp Edison. Years ago we did the same thing and nobody said nothing so we thought it was ok. I just feel there’s better ways to talk to people and she definitely something else. Should be retrain for sure! I kind of got racism vibes from her. I was so in shock that I forgot to get her name. That kind of ruin our experience there sadly. Some people shouldn’t work with the public. Don’t know if we’ll be back. Overall Camp Edison is beautiful.

Friendly and safe place to camp. We had an amazing time with our family at the site, hiking around, and down by the lake. We brought our dogs, and they took some time to get used to it, but they had a blast! Bring long leashes and stakes for the pups. The little store up front has everything you could need and want for actually reasonable prices. They have kids programming!! Super cute and family friendly hikes, art, yoga, etc. The lake is gorgeous! Lots of nearby hikes. You can see where the fire went through the nearby mountains. Luckily, the campsites here still have lots of trees. The drive up the mountain is pretty windy, so be prepared for that. It's quick though, maybe 15 minutes. Just take your time and let people pass you. I know it's camping, but the showers could do with an upgrade and a clean. We would wash the floors ourselves everytime we went in. New flooring, drains, and showerheads would go a looong way! Another minor complaint that I'm only making because I had a one year old with me who was trying to sleep at the time: our neighbors were a huge family reunion. They were LOUD, and had multiple speakers for music and a microphone for their games. They only got louder up through and past the quiet hour start. It would have been nice for a camp host to enforce the quiet hour and ask them to respect the noise levels even before that. I would bet this would not be your experience though! I've been to this same campsite for years and have never had that issue before. - Tent or RV/trailer camping with water, electricity, bathrooms, and showers. - Marina, lake, hikes, family programs like trivia and art - We felt extremely safe. Take care of your fires! - There are a few ice cream and coffee spots that are a bit pricey. There are some more eateries in the little town outside the campground.

Camp Edison in Shaver, CA is one of my favorite places to stay! The campground is clean, well-maintained, and surrounded by the most beautiful scenery. The sites are spacious and well-kept, with plenty of shade and easy access to the lake. Staff is friendly and helpful, making check-in a breeze. Whether you’re camping with family or friends, it’s the perfect mix of relaxation and outdoor fun. It’s my favorite place!

Best camping Experience ever. Lake is walking distance from every campsite. You can pretty much fish and swim at every spot along the shore. Every campsite has power and running water. Also a truck full of wood passes by every night for 10$ dollars and bundle. There is a small market at the campground or you can go into town, just a short 5 min drive, to pick up ice, drinks, food , or any necessities you might have ran out of or forgotten to pack. Overall great experience and also my youngest daughter loves it here because she hasn’t seen any bears.

We camped here this week and we were very happy! Very friendly employees, clean and we absolutely loved how they have rules for loud music and noise from 10pm-7am (quiet hours). It’s nice to be able to relax and sleep peacefully. Also, how the care takers go around checking everything is okay. We will come back! Thank you for the awesome experience we had here as a first time family camping with little kids. I will recommend to others! 👍🏼🙂

This was my first time here and I thought it was great. Friendly staff. Super clean grounds. Nice bathroom and shower. Very quiet the last week of April. I'm sure it gets super crowded during the summer. Don't forget to buy a shower card to use the showers.

The area is alright but you have better options for Shaver. They said our group was too loud and getting noise complaints. Then out of the blue called the sheriffs office to kick us out. They wouldn’t even listen to our side or the fact that another group was the one making noise. I’ll never come back here, don’t waste your money on these scum they’re nothing but a bunch of racists.

The campground is nice, but the bathrooms could be better Mold and and rust in the grout. Also bugs and mold buildup at the bottom of shower. Dead bugs hanging from ceiling. Could do a much better job keeping them clean. Also upon entering park, we were met with a host that could use some customer service training.

Very nice place with well-kept grounds, knowledgeable staff, and beautiful scenery. Would have left 5 stars except 1) they are so petty that they charged me $15 to just *drive through* the campground to make sure the space I had in mind would accommodate my RV. 2) I would have expected nicer showers since I literally had to buy credits and swipe a card like I was playing a video game to use them ($0.25 for two minutes of water -- first minute wasted waiting for it to get hot). 3) when renting a site without full hookups, the water spigots are not conveniently located to fill the tank in a motorhome. I had to block the road for 20 minutes to fill my tank. Other than those things, I appreciate the full-time security and other things like access to the shoreline and beach.
