The service at Valcartier Campground was very nice and welcoming, and the grounds themselves were clean and well-kept. We stayed on an unserviced site, which was spacious and comfortable, giving us lots of room to relax. Unfortunately, where the experience really fell short was the washroom and shower facilities. They clearly don’t get cleaned often enough, and more than half of the shower doors don’t even close properly, which made using them pretty unpleasant. Overall, the campground itself has a lot of potential thanks to its friendly staff and nice sites, but the lack of proper upkeep in the washrooms and showers really brought the experience down.

Stayed one night with tent. Place is well organized. Registration is quick, staff is helpful and friendly. Campsite is located close to entrance and it makes it easier to get to amenities since they are located in the main building. Campsites are very small and there is no privacy if you looking for it - you just camping next to someone like few feet away and your car is jammed right there. Some sites are better then others but pretty much the same except for ones that are in between- difficult to park and figure out where the boundaries of sites. No bushes as well to separate. We had a good neighbors but some had companies who were loud late at night. Washrooms and showers are clean but need updating for sure. Water is available throughout campsite. Sites are well maintained and clean. As far as firewood, it's expensive so buy it somewhere else to save some bucks. The reason for 4 stars - place is right next to Waterpark and it gets very loud from the parties there till 11ish pm. May it's just the way this place is but I prefer it quiet when camping. Other then that, nice place, good location clean and well organized.

Great campground! We had a tent spot with water and electricity, the 13th row was near the washrooms, was a straight walk to the water park, and had nice privacy hedges around the sites, but not all rows have them. All the Valcartier places were really clean and well maintained. Nice hot water in the showers and dish washing station. Great games for the kids in the basement of the main lodge, even a movie theatre with 5 movies a day. Bring loonies and toonies for the games, laundry, and fancy expresso machine, there is a change machine in the basement. All around a nice family campground and everyone was quiet at night!

The campground looks amazing until you go to take a shower or use a bathroom. Then it’s gross. When you have five young staffers hanging out at reception, sitting on countertops, playing cards and the bathrooms are trashed I think I would hire an adult or two. Later that night we waited a couple hours to get a free laundry machine and we finished our laundry at 11pm and the security guard didn’t want to let us drive from the laundry room to our campsite because quiet hours started at 11pm. He wanted us to leave our jeep and carry our four loads of laundry back to our site. We had just put the laundry in the jeep when he stopped us. We told him we were driving back and he showed up at our door at midnight with a friend and a paper warning. Again, this place is run by kids. I don’t think I can recommend it based on my first night.

My boyfriend & I stayed here tenting for 3 nights, definitely recommend. Our spot had lots of privacy and we were able to purchase our firewood at the front desk area where there is a little grocery store with everything you need while camping. Bathroom/showers were really clean, with washer and dryers right outside. Will definitely be coming back 😊
