Camp site is good as other national forest sites. The one issue I want to bring campers attention to is the private concessionaires to manage both the campground and nearby West Fork Trail. These private firms charge unreasonable fees for parking in trail head and shower in campground. National Forests are supported by tax dollars, we are also paying the national park membership. Yet this concessionaire charge $15 for parking and $8 for 3 minutes of shower. In comparison, Badlands National Park charges 50 cents for 4 minutes, and Grand Canyon $1.5 for 5 minutes. Even the staff feel the same way and asked me to share this feedback in Google Maps. I hope BLM get rid of these private concessionaires, or have them follow NPS practices or policies.

A bit disappointing. Tried 3 sites before my 21 ft Microlite would fit, barely! They have lots of nice boulders lining the roads so backing in any camper is very challenging and I've been doing this for years. I would advise against anything but a very short trailer or shorter class c or van from choosing this site. The bends down from I17 are twisty and despite my overall length of 37 ft was no problem. The speed limit is 20 mph and if you do that it's no problem. The sign says limited to 40 ft and I think longer would be unwise. But you are risking camper damage trying to get into any of the spots.

I've stayed here a couple times, and always loved the location and the natural beauty surrounding it. The pit toilets....well, that's the only gripe. Came here one time and they were absolutely disgusting. Haven't been back since. Was a bad camping experience for some of our fledgling campers that time. The rest of the campground is really nice though. The staff is friendly and they have showers as well. Oak Creek is a couple steps away from some sites if you don't want to pay the money for the showers, a nice soak in the creek always refreshed us. The sites on the back 40 are tight, so if you plan on bringing your larger tow behind, you may have issues. We tent camp when we come here. The sites are huge and pretty private. It's a quick drive to get into downtown Sedona, and you can be up in Flag in no time due to the location. If they can remedy the toilet situation I'd say this place would be a solid 5 star. I gave it 3 simply because of the toilets. Everything else here is fantastic, and it offers a great camping experience without being in the mess of DT Sedona or VOC. Yes, they have a skunk issue. But anytime you place humans and human waste that isn't properly controlled in the wilderness, you will attract vermin. It's all part of the organized camping experience. If you don't want that, there are plenty of boondocking sites up the road between Sedona and Cottonwood. But if you want to be in the heart of it all with minimal commuting, you're kind of stuck.

The staff is super nice, especially Denise! The campground is very clean, they have potable water, hot showers, and even a small store with lots of useful products. We also had great 5G signal during our stay. It’s a great place for couples, groups, and pets are welcome too. We definitely want to come back!

Beautiful sites, beautiful water, friendly and knowledgeable staff who keep everything clean, affordable and lots of shade. Honestly one of my favorite campsites I’ve ever been to. I will be back twice a year seeing as it’s only two hours from home. An absolute hidden gem. You can walk and meditate down by the creek at any hour. Staff also works hard to keep noise down during quiet hours. We had one neighbor who wanted to run his generator at night, they promptly came and told him to follow regulations. It was nice because it saved me the confrontation and I could just enjoy my trip. Ended up meeting a friend in that neighbor instead. Showers, wood and ice are overpriced but I get that. I don’t mind supporting such an awesome place run by such awesome women. I wish I didn’t have to leave today. Good work, ladies! Your pride in what you do shines through to the guests

Very quiet campground, some road noise but not bad and definite not at night. Some spots are spacious while others definitely are squeezed together. Vault toilets are clean and showers for $8/8min are available. Close to West Fork Oak Creek trailhead. Site E11 is spacious and tent area is level with nice views of canyon walls

This is a beautiful area and we were excited to stay and do some hiking. Unfortunately, we found the sites very narrow, close together, and we could barely fit our van/casita combo. Also, stay away from site A3, 4, 5 unless you enjoy the smell of the vault toilets and dumpster. We were there in late October so I can’t imagine the smell in summer. Other problems include the lack of hook-ups, lack of a dump station, and the poor condition of the road in the campground. $8 shower, $10 firewood.

I really don’t understand how people can leave this campground a 5 star review. It’s awful! The sites are small, unlevel and jammed together. There’s only a narrow single lane road around the loop. They have placed large rocks very close to the road making it exceptionally hard to maneuver a camper of any length. The biggest turn off is the large dumpster trash cans that are all over the road. The entire place reeks of the smell of trash and nasty vault toilets! To add to the misery you are right beside the very busy Hwy 89A going to Sedona so you get to listen to traffic, beating stereos and motorcycles! At least during our stay the campground wasn’t busy. When this place is full I can imagine it would be even more miserable!

Nice sites. I stayed in b3 because it has plenty of sun for my solar panel. It is right next to the vault toilets which are smelly, but I only noticed it sometimes. Went to get a shower token at the office and the showers are now $8. Just fyi as what I had seen elsewhere online indicated they were $4. This campground is 30 minutes from Sedona.

Cave Springs is one of my absolute most favorite places in the whole world. Really. This part of Oak Creek is like a magical fairy land. It's my happy place. We come camping here every year, usually twice a year. Gorgeous.

Solid campground in Arizona. Like many campgrounds there are some great sites and some very close to each other. But awesome spot north of Sedona and south of Flagstaff. There is easy creek access that is accessible for children. They have showers for $8 for 8 minutes, firewood for $10, and a small store for ice and stuff. I noticed the staff did a great job of cleaning each site and the restrooms were also kept very clean.

I spent two nights at this very green oasis in Sedona. The abundance of shade provided by the pines and the nearby creek was particularly enjoyable. However, I found the $8 showers and the pit toilets to be quite inconvenient. I had no negative experiences with the camp hosts, who promptly checked me in upon my arrival. Lots of families are here, and for the most part, quiet times were adhered to. Also, be aware that there are no grocery stores nor anywhere to dine out nearby. I would probably stay here again but away from the loop near the road as the trees do not do a good job at insulating the vehicle noise.

I’ve been going to Cave Spring campground since I was a kid and you’ll never find a more beautiful location. Easy access to secret swimming holes, a difficult but rewarding hike up the mountain from both sides of the campground, friendly and helpful staff, and large campsites. The two reasons is not a 5-star for me anymore (I went just after Labor Day): 1) there is a bit of a skunk problem now and 2) there SO many staff and/or permanent residents that in the middle area you feel like you’re in an RV park and not a campground.

Great campground. So many fun to things to do. Swim in the creek, look for crawdads, play in the green belt. Nice camp hosts. Decent bathrooms. Great location. Reserve at recreation.gov or get a first come spot! Took some wedding photos here and loved them.

I am only posting this to warn campers that Site C2 got tagged badly by a skunk. I didn't see it spray and didn't see them, but I could smell a bit of skunk on the leafy foliage of the trail to the bathroom, and later after sundown it smelled like the skunk sprayed the parking space itself and the tree next to it. It stank so bad even with the windows closed that I had to evacuate. And C1 is parked right next to C2 so C1 is covered in skunk also. I also did not like how upon arrival I was blocked from driving through the first come first serve loops to visually choose a campsite. Had I been allowed to do that, I would not have chosen the C2 area, due to the smell of skunk noticeable upon arrival once I walked to the bathroom. But the roads are narrow with lots of trees and people so I can understand trying to limit vehicles driving through. But they could have scooted me through on their golf cart. I think I read a review about this place having skunks. I can't find it but I think it was for site C2 also. I think they ought to trap them or something. It was unbearable and made me nauseous. Even 2 hours later, nauseous. The shower also wasn't long enough. 8 minutes for $8. There wasn't enough pressure and flow to get very clean in 8 minutes. I expected twice as much total water in the shower than what it actually released. The first minute is wasted on waiting for hot water, then 4-5 minutes is just trying to get the shampoo out of your hair. Leaves 2 minutes for everything else. And of course the skunk sprayed the campsite right after my shower. Not much else to say, bathroom was clean, shower was clean, camp table was gross, reservation system is still bad as always. I think there should only be one reservation fee for a stay even if part of the stay is at 1 campsite and the rest of the stay is at another campsite, which happens due to booking issues.
