Our stay ended in a very unfortunate and unnecessary situation. At check-in, the electrical pedestal at our assigned site was not functioning. We reported it immediately and were instructed by staff to temporarily use the power from the empty neighboring site until repairs were made. The following day, another staff member confirmed our pedestal was still not working and again directed us to continue using the adjacent outlet. On February 12, while we were packing up in preparation to depart on February 13 as scheduled, the campground manager approached our site, shut off our power, and accused us of stealing electricity from the neighboring site. We immediately explained that we were following the instructions given to us by two separate staff members. The manager explained she did not care what her staff directed us to do. Despite that explanation — and despite staff confirming they had directed us to use that outlet — law enforcement was contacted and we were required to vacate the property within 30 minutes. Emotions did rise during the interaction, which I acknowledge. However, from our perspective, we were following direct guidance from campground employees regarding a non-functioning utility at our assigned site. We were not refunded for the remaining unused nights after being required to leave. This situation appeared to stem from internal communication failures regarding site utilities and staff direction. We encourage future guests to verify utility functionality and document any instructions provided to avoid similar issues. We will never return to lake Havasu city again. No matter what they respond with to this review!

This place is a joke. Lady front desk rude. Gal at front entrance rude. Ask me a million questions to get a spot to charge for the night only to deny me bc of my dogs. They are mix breed dogs look like Shepards and not allowed. Firstly, any campground with restrictions on dogs sucks. Dogs are safer than humans. 👎🏽

Our site was very large, right on the lake with a beautiful view. We had power and water, but no sewer (but we knew that and that's only for the lakeview spots). The roads around the park were VERY poorly maintained, though: big potholes, unclear directions, and no road names. The staff was incredibly friendly.

Never paid $80 to stay in a campground with no hot water in the showers, no hook or anything for a towel or your clothes, and if the floor has been cleaned in a week I’d be shocked. 9 broken machines in laundry room should have been my first clue. One of the sinks in the ladies’ bathroom is so broken the water just runs through the pipes on the floor. We are staying in I-7 for one more night and wish we weren’t.

We really enjoyed our stay at Crazy Horse Campground. The place was very nice, and everyone we met was friendly and welcoming. The bathrooms were kept very clean, which we really appreciated. The location was also great — close to everything and all the events going on in town. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and we truly loved staying there. The only downsides were that it was very hard to get ahold of someone when trying to make a reservation, and the stickers they place on the vehicle and trailer were extremely difficult to remove. Other than that, everything was great, and we would definitely stay here again.

Nice place to camp, has river front spots with electricity for your RV and table to eat comfortable. Lake Havasu in particular is very HOT, 39 to 43 degrees even at night but good place overall.

I come here once every year for a family reunion that's been happening for more than almost 50 years it's so beautiful you can get so many beautiful pics of the sunsets and sunrises. I love these campgrounds they are very nice and there is enough room for activities like we do a parade every year and it's a blast!!

Really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt but it was not a great experience. Rented one of their park cabins/trailers and they changed the one we originally reserved without warning or notice. Not a big deal except the unit we were in had a TERRIBLE sewer smell when we arrived. Thought it might have been dried out drains. Woke up first morning it was gone but still went to the office to alert them. Also our unit was missing the fire extinguisher that was obviously missing from the side of a cabinet. By the end of our first full day the smell was back, by that time the office was closed. Went to main gate and without me telling them which unit we were in, they knew exactly where we were staying. Ongoing issue that no one seems to know the cause and instead of investigating it further they continue to book people in it and don't care. Told us they don't know where the smell is coming from so they can't just call someone out for a smell. Shows how much they care. It is very clearly an issue with the AC unit. We went through a entire bottle of Febreze, that we purchased in the 3 days we were there to help. Couple of the windows had no windows coverings. Slider had mismatched vertical blinds that have seen better days and multiple fell the first time we entered. Raised issue to maintenence guy who was apologetic and reported to the front office only to come back and tell us that they needed to get approval to replace. Never heard a peep again. We also asked about renting a slip while we were there but told no those were for different reservation types. Guess what. Most slips were empty our entire stay. I'm glad they didnt get more of our money but they absolutely could have. 2 stars given because of the nice workers we did encounter who were powerless to do anything for us.

The roads have giant potholes looks like no maintenance is ever done to provide a good experience for customers. The people work there live in the trailer park and try to dictate what happens around the park! Highly recommend going somewhere nicer for the money!

Rick, the superstar at the front gate saved a man’s life on Monday, May 12, 2025. My wife witnessed a man riding a JetSki collide with a rogue wave. His JetSki slammed against him, and the launch threw him over 6 feet straight up. In the main lake, probably 200 yards offshore, he screamed in pain. Now others in the campground heard him. He went under and came back up. He went down again. My wife, watching from her G 37, burned rubber from J Row all the way up to the front gate where she called 911 and excitedly told Rick. Rick blasted a quarter mile in 10 seconds from the gate to his boat down in the cove and shot out into the main lake to save the man. Rick was the first on the scene and he pulled the man out of the water. Other people pitched in too, like the lady on a kayak who paddled like an Olympian to get out there. This is about Rick. He’s like other people who work at Crazyhorse. Good attitude. Great, life saving attitude. The facility is old and could use about $10 mil in improvements, it’s the character of the people who work there keep us coming back as your favorite camper.

The pro side..we needed to add an additional week to the 1 week we had reserved. They added the week and didn't charge us any extra fee to do so. They also were able to give us one site for the 2 weeks so we didn't need to move. Laundry is available. Con side..they charged us an event fee of $80 when we arrived. We had no idea what the event was. We had to pay the fee even though we had no interest in the event. We use the restrooms/showers when available to save on having to dump our tanks. The restrooms/showers were some of the worse we've ever used. But they did have a service that they came around and pumped your tanks (Mon. and Thur.) for free IF you were staying 2 weeks or more. We did not know this. Great service. But no one told us about it. Once we figured this out, used our camper toilet/shower more. If you don't stay the 2 weeks, it's $20 for the service. The blacktop on the roads is in disrepair. Very rugged. One set of steps to the restrooms, very rugged. Be careful. Store has a few things but not open Monday or Tuesday. Overall the campground wasn't as clean as we expected for a privately owned campground. Office staff was average FYI: site didn't have a picnic table. No fire ring either but that may have been because it was on the lake and windy.

We stayed here last year and even extended our stay because we liked it so much....we referred a friend who stayed here last week because we raved about it... NEVER AGAIN ! my husband was just in the office to book another stay for tonight and the lady was DIGISTINGLY rude...she said our outfit was too big and didn't offer us ANYTHING.. NOT what we experienced last year ....We will NEVER go out of our way again to visit Lake Havasu.... And we drove 4 hrs to come here. She ruined it for us so we are on the road leaving Lake Havasu to never return... Don't waste your time or money here...service was HORRIBLE !

The campgrounds are nice with a great location but the office manager is horrible. She treats the senior citizens with no respect. Doesn't listen. Charges late fees when it's her staff that didn't run a charge. Hangs up on people if she doesn't want to talk about it or work it out. The worst customer service ever. And she gets away with it because people want to camp at the location. If you go here, pray you don't have an issue. Or have a good lawyer on retainer. Amend - the late fee was credited. However, that doesn't excuse hanging up on people or treating them without respect. People in positions of management or customer service need extreme patience. As evidenced from multiple reviews, that does not exist here, but I do appreciate the fact that they reversed the erroneous charge.

Love this park. Couple of disappointments as the bathrooms are pretty ugly in need of repair and servicing. Laundry room is OK, but could be improved. They are basically always clean, but have had issues with water pressure, especially hot water during the winter months. Overall, this is a very friendly park, staff is friendly and helpful.we look forward to playing pickleball here and a year or so ago they said they were adding another court. But did not happen. Nice pool and hot tub area.

Listen up, I'm not one to leave a bad review but this warrants a read if you plan to stay at the crazy horse. Don't fall for the bait and switch of staying at the cabins at this place. They charge a $125 cleaning fee and the place is a dump (see photos). At over $200 (with cleaning fee) a night you'd be far better off staying at one of the hotels in town. Even if, like in our case, you have another family member camping here. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone I know. They don't even provide a bar of soap or shampoo of any kind. The water heater is barely enough for one person to take a warm shower and they have lock boxes on the thermostats so they can't be turned down below 76 degrees. Whomever owns and runs this park should be ashamed of themselves. The outhouses around the park were all full to the brim and the overall feel and asthetic of the park itself needs major improvements in landscaping and general cleanup. We definitely won't be returning here.
