Death Valley/Stovepipe Wells Village

Everyone we met here was friendly and helpful! It's a basic hotel that has all your needs in the middle of the park. The only negative was that we booked a queen bed but it turned out to only be a full, which is hard for people over 6 ft tall. Saloon had decent pizza, and the general store had cinnamon rolls and coffee.

The rooms are good sized. And the accommodation fairly clean and lives up-to being in the middle of nowhere. Great sunrise and sunset views. But, expect to have minimum cellular network, dodgy WiFi and no extra amenities such as microwaves. However, a wonderful place to stay indeed. We loved the breakfast in the hotel. It has lot of seatings and options to eat. Overall loved our stay.

The staff at the front desk were unfriendly. The rooms are very basic - more like a motel, but clean. If you’re 6ft or over, prepare to sleep diagonally on the tiny beds. There’s a bar and a restaurant. The bar had okay beer and so-so food if you’re vegetarian. They serve a $15 depressing breakfast at the restaurant. Death Valley is a stunningly beautiful place, but there’s not much choices if you want to stay inside the park. So neither the hotel nor the staff have much of an incentive to improve themselves.
