Location is spectacular because so different from BLM / NM / NP and the standard RV parks. We immediately booked two additional nights. We used the rental bikes opposite to the campsite for exploring the area. Would definitely return. In my opinion excellent value for money.

This is an okay place to camp for a night or two if you don’t find anywhere else in LA. We pay $45 the first time for a dry site, next time we payed $55 (pretty expensive for just the space). Unfortunately we had a homeless girl sleeping right across from our site, it wasn’t a problem until she started walking around every van or RV. I called the front desk and they answered with the most lazy tone saying that if it gets worst I should call the police. If I’m paying for a private camp spot I’m not expecting to have to deal with the police or homeless people. So pretty disappointed management.

This is a beach site. We read some negative reviews about the people and the bathrooms. We decided to come anyway. The people are friendly and helpful. The bathrooms are a bit spartan but well kept. Totally acceptable. And on the plus side you are directly at the beach. The planes overhead are not so bad and at night there are very few anyway. The noise from other campers was ok. It is a beach site and on a Saturday night there are dozens of bonfires with people not from the rob park so without rules. But it’s all good fun. We would definitely return here.

It's a nice place when you have your own trailer. Just hook it up, and you're good. Met some good friends. From Poly's of Polly's restaurant upland. I've never been there. We'll check it out, though.! Him and his wife were great and family! You can meet great friends if you're a great friend.

🌴🚐 **Beachfront Bliss at Dockweiler RV Park!** 🐾🌊 Just wrapped up a relaxing 5 day stay at **Dockweiler RV Park** in Playa Del Rey—and wow, what a gem! If you're looking for an RV spot that puts you *right on the beach*, this is it. The views of the Pacific are unbeatable, and the sound of the waves makes for the perfect backdrop to unwind. 🐶 **Dog-friendly? Absolutely!** Our pups had a blast running along the clean, wide beach. It’s one of the few places where both humans and dogs can enjoy the ocean breeze together. 📶 **AT&T service was flawless**—full bars the entire time, which made remote work and streaming a breeze. 🚿 **Restrooms and showers could use a little TLC**, but they’re functional. If you’ve got your own setup in your RV, you’re golden. **A few things to note: the RV spots are quite tight, and the utilities are located in the middle of each site, which makes it less comfortable to sit outside your camper and enjoy the view. It’s not ideal for outdoor lounging, but manageable if you're mostly there for beach access. Whether you're here for a weekend escape or a longer stay, Dockweiler offers a rare combo of beach access, city convenience, and laid-back vibes. Just be ready for a airplane noise—it’s right near LAX—but honestly, the ocean makes up for it. Highly recommend for beach lovers, dog owners, and anyone who wants to camp with a view! 🌅

Amazing for the beach and the bike path. However the camp ground itself is not impressive. And the utilities are very out of place relative to the parking position of the vehicle. The staff and people are not helpful or welcoming. Everyone had an RBF they are less than helpful on the phone and a bit arrogant. Parking situation for guest vehicles difficult. The spaces are very borrow and could be cleaner. The space outdoor table was dirty and had to give it a good scrub.

Loved it here! I thought it was going to be too frenetic and out in open, but it was a really enjoyable week. So fun to be right on the beach with everyone walking past enjoying the LA weather. Met lots of great people, enjoyed the sun and the sand, watched the planes zoom overhead, had a campfire on the beach and enjoyed the walking path along the beach. Coming back for two weeks next time!

Best place to stay if you want to be at the beach!! Front row is the best choice, 5 steps to have your feet into the sand. Awesome. But be aware of the noise from LAX, flights are coming and going 24/7.

Place is a joke, drove from out of state to camp here. Called in advance to discuss options and ensure I would have no issues and upon arrival I’m denied my spot and only partially refunded.

Worst reservation experience ever! So complicated and so many questions, the amount of friction to be able to book is ridiculous. They even ask for skin color :o LOL

We really enjoyed this RV campground run by the LA county.|The spot is right on the beach and the views are incredible, 15-20 minutes driving distance from Venice Beach and Santa Monica.|There are also electric bikes for rent on the beach if you enjoy a ride.|We were treated very well and everything went extremely extremely smoothly during our 2 night stay.|Highly recommended!!

2 stars because you can see the ocean. Listen, if you have a camper/RV with your own bathroom and shower, you're golden. If you're in a dry camper this is just flat out going to suck for you. Showers stay on for about 30 seconds and the water doesn't get hot (not even warm) we ended up going to a planet fitness to shower. Laundry has been out (according to the reviews I read) at least six months and counting. You are on top of each other and people invade your space. You are across from LAX and planes are constant - really not a huge bother. I will stay the staff is SO nice and security is present, felt very safe. This campground is absolutely not worth the price and you get about zero of the "amenities" that they offer. Pay the extra $50 and get a hotel room or a nicer campground.
