Great campground! Very well maintained, with awesome and very helpful campground hosts. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well cared for. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back!

I actually really love this campground, but there were a few problems during our most recent stay. First, the bathrooms. Oh. my. heck. They were so disgusting! Do I expect pit toilets to be lovely? No, but the flies were like nothing I have ever seen. Please, someone do something about these. The camp hosts were nowhere to be seen our entire stay. There were pot smokers on one side of us and a group enjoying a drunken revelry on the other side - not exactly a family friendly experience.

Awesome campground perfect for anyone who loves the great outdoors access to small lake good trails. On our stay for memorial weekend this year 2026 probably the best camp hosts we've ever came across and 30 years of camping.

Best campground ever.  Awesome hosts, beautiful lake and clean sites.  I also love playing the flute there.  Been going there for over 20 years.

I have been coming here for 20+ years. Nice to see the trail upgrades that are now accessible to all with many ADA sections. There are many campsites and even some specific for RVs. There is beach hangouts and a boardwalk that goes out into the water. The island in the middle of the lake is great for jumping. Awesome creek to hike and explore. Great fishing and potable water!!! I bring my skateboard the pavement is so nice. Safe place for kids and pets though there can be bears at night. There are bear box’s. That all said, in the 20+ years I have been going here with my family, I have never had a bear issue.

Lovely clean campground, helpful hosts, bathrooms were very clean. Beautiful peaceful serene place. I think the forest service is trying to be a cashless system but cash should always be accepted, i almost always camp first come first serve and when thens no cell service it’s the only way to pay.  Amazing hikes all around lovely place to unplug and unwind. Was nice to be there mid week.

The stereotypical family summer vacation retreat. Family, friends, kids, their dogs and possibly cats camping on or near the water. No motors on this reservoir. It's still hot at this elevation, but the shade from all the trees trumps it; the cool water trumps it. So many other camp grounds are barren of shade aside from the shadow I cast. Please stop milling about near me. My favorite thing to do is make my way out to the island. An excellent rock there challenges jumping fears from 5'-20'. Toss the ball to your dog or any of the other shameless canine ball thieves. Still spilling far too much of my carbonated beverage when I throw the ball. Shame!

With the kids I prefer to be in a camp spot closer to the water for obvious reasons. If you have a pickup truck or mule like family member to carry your kayaks, rafts, floaties and coolers then any camp spot is fine. Most just leave their toys tied up near the shore with little concern of them coming up missing. Really enjoyed our last stay in 36. Very close walk to the creek, reservoir and facilities. Have yet to meet friendly's counterpart here. Time to free up some calendar space.

Oh my goodness!!!! I love this place! Want to keep it a secret. So campground is kept so clean. The area is so gorgeous and the water sparkles, literally. Great place if you like peace and quiet, and are respectful of nature, wildlife, conservation, the environment and your fellow humans. Love it.

Great campground. Great hosts. Nita and Ron are great. Beautiful sunsets. Cleanest campground bathrooms ever. Love it.

A clean campground, quaint, and good for children. Lizards, bugs, and even little beaches are great to keep kids entertained. No motorboats on the reservoir, bring the paddles boards and kayaks.

Nice place to visit for peace & quit. Plan on camping there soon
