In general, we love Emerald RV. We knew this trip would be hot(we checked), and assume because of that it was pretty empty(nice to have pool alone). But we were initial parked beside the biggest ant hill and the electric outlet was damaged so with limited electric it got hot inside. They allow us to move the next day because no one was there when we got there at 4pm. But overall we love the resort.

The sites and roads were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park is in need of some further upkeep. Grass is green and mowed yet, it is evident that nothing has been edged or string trimmed for quite some time. The utilities in my spot worked properly but, other rvers were forced to move spots as some poles did not have power. This concerned me because the electronics in the high end coaches require clean power so make sure you have some form of protecting Your coaches' power before turning on the breaker on the pole! The pool area is kind of run down. The planters were bare with no plants or flowers. The light in the main spa did not work so we couldn't enjoy the use of that. The entire pool area could use some maintenance and updating. The public restrooms were updated and clean, but they were not air conditioned and very humid.

This was our first time staying there and it was wonderful. The place is beautiful and so clean and green. Our dog loved the grass. She would just lay down and roll around. Yes there is a train track right there but I didn’t find it bothersome at all. The office personnel was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be back

What a great little spot to stay in Palm Desert. The spots are laid out nicely with good tree cover for shade. Staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The dog park is as a hit for the chocolate lab in our group. Pool is good sized and clean. Great bang for the buck and we’ll definitely be back. I know some reviews mention the trains and while you can hear them, they weren’t noticeable to us. It does probably help to be here in the heat and running the AC all night though. They do need to mow the chipping area but that’s a small critique.

Great location. Great staff, they were very friendly and accommodating to all of our party. This park was perfect for our family, as some of us didn’t have r.v.’s . The villa that we stayed in was very nice and had everything we needed. There is all kinds of activities available, as well as scheduled events for the guests. No excuses for being bored. We will definitely be returning. Thanks to all the great people that work there.

We really enjoyed our time at the resort. We stayed for 5 weeks and loved the location of our site! Things that the resort can't control were the only downsides (traffic/trains) but you just adjust! We met several people who have been returning there for many years! Staff were all friendly and helpful. We will be back.

We enjoy staying here on our jaunts to/from our residence in IN and winters in Cali. Easy access off of I-10. Access to pool(s) and laundry a bonus. The onsite restaurant (Fat Willy’s) is a great place with friendly and helpful staff. The menu has nice selections, there is a full bar, and it the restaurant is easily accessible. The spots are okay but you can tell they are “dated” and need some upgrades. The spot we are in has a utility box located such that it was difficult to park just right to avoid its impedance.thanks again!

We had a wonderful stay at the Emerald Desert RV Resort! The facility is beautiful, with a wide range of fantastic amenities. The bathrooms were clean and the the laundry facilities were convenient and well maintained. The service we received was exceptional, the staff incredibly helpful with any questions we had. We appreciated the easy access to the tennis garden facility, making our commutes with uber a breeze. It was the perfect spot for our getaway. Our dog, Handsome, loved the dog park , and all the friends he met along the way. We truly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.

- Had to ask for escort to site, which they did, but they did not assist with backing in. -Very close to train tracks and the trains are noisy and frequent, all day and all night. -Small sites in comparison to other resorts we have stayed at which were far less expensive. -We were told to put garbage out by 9 am and frequently by 3 pm it was still sitting there. Birds got it and only the bags were picked up, other debris left for us to pick up. -$600 deposit charged at time of booking which was not applied to our stay but held as a "hotel type" deposit and refunded upon leaving. This has not happened at any other resorts we have stayed at. -We had booked 1 month and 4 days before leaving received a text asking how our experience had been, ratings 1-5 with 5 being excellent. I gave them a 1. You would have thought with such a low rating someone would have contacted me to find out the issues, but I heard nothing. -Gardeners did not clean up sites after they trimmed grass or fertilized so we were left to clean up our own concrete pad. - Painting events and comedy night were very enjoyable. -Provided list of complaints to manager (Justin) upon check-out. He took the time to speak with me and address my concerns which was a great example of good customer service, but about the only one. -I didn't feel we got good value for the dollar value we paid.

Excellent resort! Love it here every time we visit! If you're bothered by trains that could bother some people but not a negative for me. Ready to come back!

We have been spending varied amounts of time at Emerald Desert over the past ten years. We have noticed the park is not as well maintained as it had been in the past and it has lost it’s ‘high end’ feel while the rates are still very high end and continue to be increased. Also we did not realize that if you want your unit washed and waxed, we found out later you have no choice but to use the company within the park. I had a quote from them and they were extremely higher - almost twice as much as the person I wanted to do my unit. I asked at front desk if it was possible to use the company I was recommended from our Luxe Rv group. The office said yes but he would have to register at front desk. Not a big deal. So I proceeded to book the company. Afternoon before he came in I phoned front desk to let them know they would be here at 8. No answer I left message. Well they came in at 8 all set up started washing (office doesn’t open till 830). The park manager came to our site right away and informed me this is not allowed. I explained to him I talked to office and was told me I could use the company provided they would register. I explained to the manager about the high cost and a person should be allowed to choose who washes and waxes our expensive units. Long story short I was allowed to have him finish the wash/wax job and they did a fantastic job. But found out that management wouldn’t add this mobile cleaning company to the. preferred list of the park because it is required we only can use the company stated on the park list. Not right. The preferred company does not use chemical free water and just hook up to park water. Not right. The company I used has their own water and it is chemical free. Not right that you have to use a company that charges double to what it should be. This is a public park not a private park so everyone should be allowed to use who you want to do your work or wag on your Rv. Brad

Beautiful resort....but this year they are charging to use the cabanas at the pool! The entire time we were there, week and 1/2, not once were they rented. Plus the pool was not the cleanest as in past years. No parties either, just a couple guys performing for a couple hrs. around the pool, a couple days. We were disappointed this year to say the least.

Upscale camping in Desert. A little noisy with trains going by all day. Nice setting Only thing missing is there are no tables at sites. Excellent landscape and maintenance. Main pool area and meeting room very nice as is the gym. Tennis and pickle ball courts. This resort even had individual garages for long-term storage on site.

Very nice park. Enjoyed our stay. Everything was spotless. There is a train nearby but it’s not that loud. Concrete slabs and grass area. Very nice Gym, pool, bathrooms, although they can use cleaning supplies inside the gym for after we use the machine or before (a roll of paper towels and disinfectant spray) I would definitely stay there again.
