We having been staying at the Emerald Desert for the past 10+ years. Initially it began as a two week stay and then 3 weeks and this year we stayed for a full month. Unfortunately it has been getting more and more expensive to the point of becoming unaffordable for what you get. It is a lovely resort and most of the staff are friendly and accommodating. They have to do something about their reservation system though. We requested an elite site because the train noise is not as loud on that side of the park. We were told we can’t book those sites because we weren’t staying for 2 months. Fair enough, those are the rules but on our daily walks through the park you could see half of the elite sites were continuously empty. This average rating is not sour grapes for not getting the site we wanted it is just because the resort is not like it used to be and bang for your buck is lacking.

Loved the location and how clean the property was when we first arrived. The site itself is beautiful and has a lot of potential, which is why I hope to return in the future. However, as our stay progressed, it became clear that the property was extremely short-staffed, and unfortunately it affected the overall experience. Throughout our stay, the trash was not picked up consistently or on time. Because of this, crows repeatedly got into it and scattered food and debris around the area. I ultimately had to clean it up myself because I could not risk my dog getting into table scraps or unsafe food. We also experienced issues with the pool and jacuzzi maintenance. While I understand it had been windy the night before, temperatures were reaching 109 degrees, and the pool area should have been better maintained for guests. When we brought the issue to staff, one employee kindly helped for about 10 minutes, but then had to stop because he was not allowed overtime and there was no one available to replace him. My husband ended up skimming and cleaning the pool himself so we could use it. Later that evening, we encountered the same issue with the jacuzzi. We had to retrieve the skimmer ourselves and clean it before being able to enjoy it. During our nightly walks with the dog, we also noticed items such as pillows and even an umbrella floating in the pool. My husband removed them and closed the remaining umbrellas to help prevent further issues. I truly do hope to return because this is a great-looking property in a fantastic location. With improved upkeep, maintenance, and a stronger staff presence, this place could easily provide an exceptional guest experience.

Great location and a great place to meet new friends. We met friends mostly through playing pickleball at the resort. Only issue is some noise from the train and freeway. Not enough to keep me from coming back.

Tons of snow birds and retirees with very nice rigs. Full hook ups. This time of year (winter) lots of months-long guests. We spoke to our "neighbor" and she and her husband were staying for four months. Safe, friendly, centrally located. Pickle ball, two nice pools. We took a jacuzzi every evening before calling it a night. I also did a few loads of laundry - somewhat pricey ($5 per wash/ $5 per dry) but the convenience was fantastic. Very nice landscaped grounds. Lots of planned activities. We happened to be there on Valentine's Day and they were planning a dinner and dance. No food, drinks or services, however.

We stayed here over the Thanksgiving weekend in an RV Spot and my in laws stayed in a Villa. The villa was very nice and roomy. Clean and comfortable as well. A little work on the water pressure for the shower would be great but it was manageable. We made our RV reservations a year ahead of time for this trip. We travel with friends and plan ahead so we get the spots we like. Paid the deposit and chose our “Super Platinum” spot last November. Called once a month to confirm our reservation and spot as we always do with any reservation we make so far ahead of time. We find out beginning of November that they gave our spots to someone else for the weekend. Quite annoying and unsettling as we had done our due diligence in making sure we secured the sights we wanted. We are full time RV and understand that things happen sometimes but a courtesy phone call and a heads up saying we were kicked out of our chosen spot would have been appreciated. Putting the frustration aside from that issue…we love the park. It’s beautiful, very clean and well kept. Always meet wonderful people and get to pet lots of fur babies. The pool and spa are nice as well. On a side note…the person they gave one of our spots too did not even stay the full holiday weekend! Ugh. I gave 5 stars because it’s a great place to stay.

Our first time staying at Emerald, we were with the Oldchella group, but booked separately so we didn't get the group discount. The villa was nice but had an odd odor, carpet needs replaced. Hot tub was like warm and jets were mal functioning. The office staff were great, very friendly.

TRAINS!! I say that first because it is fair warning when you pull into the park if you get placed over on the side of I10 there’s also railroad tracks directly behind the park. These trains run all night long and if the noise doesn’t bother you, the shaking of your trailer might. That being said, we lasted one night with that, but asked the park to move us, and they were very accommodating!! We moved to the opposite side of the park and although we could still hear the train, it was significantly better. Frank Sinatra Boulevard can be noisy if people decide to race down it, but it really wasn’t a problem. The staff was very friendly and kind. The reason I only gave four stars besides the trains was because of the grounds/maintenance. It is a very nice park but the groundskeeping crew drove around for two days straight, creating so much dust and leaving so many clippings behind that it was ridiculous. Many people had paid to have their trailers/rigs washed (600$)and they were covered in dust and debris. The crew didn’t blow or clean up any of the sites and we had to sweep our patio and so did all of our neighbors. Even the common walk areas up to the pool ect were covered in debris. Like completely covered in grass! The pool was so full of grass & dust that was flying around that we decided to get out. Our neighbor even complained, but they did nothing. The main pool itself is very nice and the restrooms were great as was the workout room. I did have to do some laundry and although the laundry room is very nice just be warned that each load was 5 dollars each! That’s the most expensive I’ve seen it in all of our travels. But desperate times call for desperate measures. Would I stay here again?? YES, because we met some really nice people and again like I mentioned before, once we were in a different part of the park, it was great and close to so many things. Again, the staff was very friendly. That makes a big difference!

This RV park is excellent. 2 +rows were deck out in Halloween fun. Each camp went above and beyond . Sat trick for treat event was amazing sooooo many families and kids participated! It felt like a when I was a kid trick or treating ! It was refreshing that Everyone was polite and well mannered. Also the poker run activity was a blast. I got to know more people in the camp!!

Beautiful place but, they should Disclose the Major NOISE with the Train Tracks on the other side of the RV Resort wall & the freeway. The trains run 24/7! All day & 2:00AM, 3AM, 5:30AM, etc! Our RV Shimmy's as the trains goes by. The Large dog run Looks nice But, there are Three Gaps in their gates that my smaller 11lb. chi mix can fit under, one going into the condos next door! There are also round goathead stickers in patches in there, which our dogs get them in their paw pads!! Staff is nice. The maintenance guy, Armando fixed our site light, very nice guy. Their main pool area is Beautiful But, even though it was 85° out in October, the water was Too Cold! 🥶 We missed not swimming & didn't see anyone else swimming in it either. There are areas that the grasses need to be maintained, high grasses. Price, Way too high for the NOISE we have to endure! We loved the atmosphere, until the trains go by. We won't be returning because you can't relocate the trains or schedule them to only run 8am-8pm. The prices don't warrant the NOISE. Yes, it may be in Palm Desert, but the zip code doesn't warrant the prices.

Nice RV Resort. Staff was great. Park was very clean. The big dog park had goat heads (stickers) not good for the fur babies paws. Prices are so so in October. After October Prices shoot up considerably. If they kept their prices down they probably do more business and have a full park. The freeway traffic noise was tolerable however the train 50 yards from us all hours of the night and day not good. Again prices need to reflect this even if your at the other end of the park, still loud but a bit more tolerable. However you will be paying more for those spaces.

In general, we love Emerald RV. We knew this trip would be hot(we checked), and assume because of that it was pretty empty(nice to have pool alone). But we were initial parked beside the biggest ant hill and the electric outlet was damaged so with limited electric it got hot inside. They allow us to move the next day because no one was there when we got there at 4pm. But overall we love the resort.

The sites and roads were clean. Staff was friendly and helpful. The park is in need of some further upkeep. Grass is green and mowed yet, it is evident that nothing has been edged or string trimmed for quite some time. The utilities in my spot worked properly but, other rvers were forced to move spots as some poles did not have power. This concerned me because the electronics in the high end coaches require clean power so make sure you have some form of protecting Your coaches' power before turning on the breaker on the pole! The pool area is kind of run down. The planters were bare with no plants or flowers. The light in the main spa did not work so we couldn't enjoy the use of that. The entire pool area could use some maintenance and updating. The public restrooms were updated and clean, but they were not air conditioned and very humid.

This was our first time staying there and it was wonderful. The place is beautiful and so clean and green. Our dog loved the grass. She would just lay down and roll around. Yes there is a train track right there but I didn’t find it bothersome at all. The office personnel was so nice and friendly. We will definitely be back

What a great little spot to stay in Palm Desert. The spots are laid out nicely with good tree cover for shade. Staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The dog park is as a hit for the chocolate lab in our group. Pool is good sized and clean. Great bang for the buck and we’ll definitely be back. I know some reviews mention the trains and while you can hear them, they weren’t noticeable to us. It does probably help to be here in the heat and running the AC all night though. They do need to mow the chipping area but that’s a small critique.
