We brought our family and friends to stay here for a few days in June while we were in Colorado for our microwedding, and everything was so perfect! The staff was incredibly kind and hospitable; the cabins were clean, comfortable, and cozy; and it was so great to be able to be near everyone in our group and have outdoor spaces to gather. It’s really beautiful here! We are thankful they were a part of making our wedding week feel so happy! We will definitely be back.

I’ve been coming to Glenwood Canyon Springs Resort for over a decade, and it has always been one of my favorite places to stay. The property itself is beautiful, and what always kept me coming back was the atmosphere. It felt welcoming, well-managed, and like the staff genuinely cared about their guests. Unfortunately, after the recent management change, the experience has gone downhill. Since the previous manager, KP, left, the overall vibe of the resort has completely changed. The new manager has come across as rude and unapproachable during multiple visits. She never seems to be available when guests need assistance, and nearly every time I’ve seen her, she’s been outside with a cigarette in her hand rather than interacting with guests or supporting her staff. I’ve also had several disappointing interactions with the staff over the past few months. The level of customer service and hospitality that made this resort so special just isn’t there anymore. The warm, family-like atmosphere that kept us coming back year after year has been replaced by an environment that feels disconnected and poorly managed. It genuinely saddens me to write this because I have so many wonderful memories here. I hope ownership recognizes what’s changed and takes steps to restore the culture that made this resort so special. Until then, I can’t see myself returning, which is something I never thought I’d say after more than ten years as a loyal guest.

Look at the pictures on the website! They don’t do the location justice. I called and booked ahead a spoke to Andi, and she was great. Explained why we were coming and what we wanted to do there. We needed an RV site and wanted a tent site but a wedding had all of them booked. No problem! Just come down and fish and hang out when people aren’t there. Also told her that my daughter would have her birthday while we were there, and she made her feel extra special on her birthday. The boys got to fish along the river after all, and we had a great time! It was peaceful. I ended up using the laundry facilities which were clean and in great working order. The sound of river, the sound of the train. The ambiance was amazing. I can see why brides book the place! Then we tried to leave and had a breakdown with our truck and camper. It was awful! We called the campground and talked to Chris, and she said we got a spot for you and come on back. I had to go into the office every other day to ask for their patience while we got our truck fixed and hoped they hadn’t booked our spot. They made sure they didn’t. When we finally got a plan to go home to Nebraska, we had to leave our truck at the repair shop in town and find a place to leave our camper. Chris and company to the rescue! They had an empty spot on the property and allowed us to store it there for about three weeks so we could get home. The maintenance guy came in early to help us move our camper, and we were on our way. We kept in contact with them over the last couple weeks (my husband broke his leg when we got home so we were further delayed) and they continued to be the most kind and accommodating people! We finally have our camper and truck home! We cannot thank Chris, Andi, and the staff for helping us out when we really didn’t know what to do.

We recently stayed in a cozy cabin along with family and friends as part of a larger reservation for a wedding happening in Aspen. It was so great to all have our own cabins and still get to spend time with one another. The folks at the resort really pulled out all of the stops to make our stay special, even blocking off some of the un-rented RV/camping spots for the wedding rehearsal. The cabins themselves were clean and beautiful, the only complaint I have is that they could get quite warm in the interior bedroom, as there's not much air flow toward that space. Everything else was fantastic, and if we are in the area again will absolutely stay again!

We booked a premium site and it wasn’t worth it. We secured that spot bc we had a 29ft RV and were towing a trailer. We would stay there again for sure but not in premium site. The septic hookup was more than 30 ft away from our rig and drains uphill. Seems there was an issue w the design. Other people on the premium spots also had the same complaints. The river spots down below were amazing. Just no hookups which we don’t mind.. The town was adorable. Staff was great. Bathrooms and laundry.. eh, I have seen better. Bike paths are right there that take you to town. Apparently they have new owners so that septic deal might be addressed at some point. Also there are train tracks right there and the trains runs more than a few times .. didn’t bother us we have found it’s common for trains to run along rivers.. beautiful views.

I recently had the most wonderful surprise weekend getaway, thanks to my husband, at this stunning mountain resort. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that the staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Kevin(the GM) provided us with an incredible cabin right by the river and was there for us for every detail. The cabin was extraordinary spacious and beautifully designed, making it the perfect retreat. Surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Colorado River, we enjoyed a fantastic mix of activities-relaxing, fishing, and exploring the picturesque trails. This resort truly is a gem for anyone who loves fresh air, the great outdoors and fantastic service. I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable mountain escape!

I just visited this resort to attend a wedding on site. Everything was awesome! I loved my Blue Spruce cabin! Adorable! The wedding site along the Colorado River was breathtaking! The bar & dance floor outside was so good and so fun! What an awesome space to hold a wedding. I'm also incredibly grateful to the staff for finding my wedding ring that I lost in all the commotion. They were honest and kind. I'm so so grateful! I love that it was a resort that felt remote but only a couple of miles away is an adorable downtown full of places to shop, eat and visit.

We had a riverfront rv spot. The view was amazing but the only downside was how small the spots are. It was very cramped and no room for even a picnic table. It was very cool to see the trains go by. My kids loved that. They do go during night but it didn’t wake any of my kids up. The location is great and the walking trail close by was nice.

We booked a quick stay here following our fall train ride from Denver to Glenwood Springs. The tiny homes are worth the experience, especially with kids but not for an extended stay obviously. The location was great, you’re one interstate exit away from Glenwood Springs and very close to the hanging lake trail. The accommodations were rustic and covered the essentials. We stayed in their basic tiny home, not the deluxe or the higher end tiny home since they had a wedding the weekend when we arrived. Highly recommended for booking several cabins for a large family gathering as your home base in Glenwood Springs!

We stayed in a Rustic Riverside cabin in September. The cabins are cute and clean, plenty of space for 2 adults and our kiddo. It was nice having electricity while “camping.” Cabin was directly on the Colorado River, and the leaves were changing - beautiful view! We saw lots of fly fishermen and whitewater rafters going by. The only downside of the location is the very noisy trains that pass by directly on the other side of the river at all hours of the day and night. The campground was quite busy and crowded on the weekend, but remarkably quiet at night (save for the trains). It felt very safe and family friendly. The bathrooms are a literal hike away, up a set of (well-lit) steep stairs, but clean and nicely maintained. Showers had hot water and great water pressure. Staff in the campground were friendly and helpful. The camp store closes early so plan ahead if you need to buy ice or firewood. The town of Glenwood Springs is one exit away on I-70 which made an easy commute to all of the activities we wanted to do. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.

Excellent place! We rented a riverfront tent site and had a wonderful experience. The staff was very friendly, the campground was clean, and the views were stunning. There’s a beautiful bike road with amazing scenery, plus the No Name hiking trail and plenty of other activities to enjoy. One unique detail is that we saw the train 🚂 passing by many times. At night it did wake us up a few times, which can be a little inconvenient, but it also adds a special charm to the experience. This was our second time here, and we’ll definitely be coming back for a third. Highly recommended!

What a lovely place! My husband and I stayed for several months for an extended work trip and it was the perfect cozy cabin to call home for our needs. It is such a beautiful location and always felt peaceful and natural. Kevin and Jessica were so kind and wonderful and always available when needed. The other sweet young lady working the office was also always a delight. Kevin and his maintenance team always kept the grounds clear and safe for traveling especially when it was snowing. 5 months flew by, but I can’t wait to recommend GCR to family and friends for a camping/cabin getaway! Hope we get to return again soon!

Great location with fishing and trails right there. Also rafting trips available on sight. Last time we stayed there anyway. Also bar with food real close , within walking distance from your cabin. Very pretty area and not far from Glenwood Springs. A little pricey but better than a hotel for sure. Folks are really nice to chat with also.

We love this resort!! The desk crew is so friendly and knowledgeable about the area!!! What we loved the most was the Defiance River raft trip!! There brochure is right on the desk & you get a discount coupon!! They come pick you up at the resort & drop you at the end!!! It was a fabulous rafting ride and we stopped at hot springs that you get in right next to the river!!! We stay in our motorhome while we are at the resort & have a spot to park 3 feet from the river!! Can’t beat it for relaxing & adventure!! This summer will be our second time staying here!!! 5 plus ⭐️!!!

Absolutely Stunning !! We stayed in RV waterfront RV site ! this is a must for any RV. The place is safe , clean , 1 exit (5 min) from town , walking path , free wifi that good speed. bike path. But the river and the train are just magical and worth every penny you spend. My only recommendation (if you can afford) and something I will do next , is rent 2 spaces. The spaces river front a snug, and if you want space for your stuff and simply privacy , get 2 spaces. Thank you for such a great place! S
