We were guests at the resort for five (5) months. The cabins were very comfortable! We were allowed to have our dog with us! Lots a trails to walk and close to the Colorado River! Jessica Morgan was the manager on site often during our stay! Greeted you the minute the door to the office opened! Assisted with any of our needs! Great smile and pleasant demeanor! If what we needed was not immediately available, she made sure we did receive it as soon as she was able to provide for our request! Her husband Chris was also on site providing plowing for the driveway on days of accumulated snow, cleaning the driveway when needed and even shoveled/swept our deck after snow storms! Also provided occasional maintenance when needed! Chris is a very positive, upbeat young man! We appreciated all of their work to make our stay there “perfect”!! Steve and Victoria Johnson

I was coming from Grand Junction and the Glenwood Canyon Resort is at MM 119 so there was no way to get there from the West. I tried to call the office but it was after 6 pm so no one answered. Found a place to plug in and called the next morning to get a refund and was told their no cancellation policy wouldn't allow me to get a refund even when the highway was closed in the canyon which does happen now and then. Their lame justification was that other people made it there last night and implied that I should have kept driving into a closed interstate highway and try to sneak through. Amazing. I lost the mobile signal while discussing and called back several times and left a voicemail but they didn't want to deal with me so this is my only option. So, unless you are willing to give them your money with no recourse when Glenwood Canyon closes, you are at risk of losing it.

Stayed there with a motor home and mountain bikes. Awesome place to start for trail riding along the Colorado river. They set us up for rafting and there was a bar and lots of places to sit and relax after a day of biking and hiking. Exit No Name, want to get back there soon.

I went to this business for a weekend trip with my girlfriend and I can confidently say it will be my go too spot from here on out when visiting that city for a quick getaway. I purchased the Luxury Suite option for myself and the girlfriend and was surprised by how amazing it was to have a tranquil view of the river, the huge space offered, and thr comfort of the bed. Being able to open the bedroom window and just hear the nice sound of the water just out my door. The destination being far enough away from the sounds of traffic and city life but close enough that if I wanted me and my girlfriend could easily make it to Glenwood Spring's downtown is just one of many benefits seen. In closing. Could you find cheaper options to stay? Yes, I saw a few. But would any of those places have the same value for your vacation as this location? Absolutely not. Enjoy your own stays here. :)

Apologies, I'm a little late writing this review but never the less this is a fantastic place to stay. We stayed here in July 2020 on our family road trip. The park was very nice.The staff was super friendly. The sites were large and spaced out nice.The bathrooms were kept clean. They had plenty to offer including a zip line across the river. They are also the home for Defiance Rafting (you need to do this, it is awesome). Taking a chain down to sit on the shore of the river and taking in the views was such a relaxing time. They had a three night minimum which we thought was a little excessive (thought 2 days would be enough, we were wrong). In the long run I wish we could have stayed longer. Being so close to town and the different attractions really made the location of the park that much better. Listening to the train rumble through the canyon was another plus. Only thing that could be an issue is the sewer drain hook-up is towards the from of the site. Needed 3 hoses connected together. This place will be added to our never ending places to stay. We were not disappointed and you will not be either. Check them out! We can't wait to return.

Where do I start. The pictures on web site are at best deceiving. The heater wouldn't turn on, after I got it to turn on it wouldn't turn off. The fully stocked kitchen is a joke. The pots and pans where all dirty, coated with dried food. Had to wash them before I could cook. My "FAVORITE" part of the stay was when I went to the office to inform them that there were MICE in the cabin. They informed us that mice were in ALL of the cabins, the could move us to another cabin or give us traps, because no exterminator could be there until spring. I had to buy containers for food to keep rodents out of them. A mouse actually crawled across our foot while we were in bed. Absolutely no maid service, no towels were ever offered. They did come to set mouse traps, with no bait. When we checked out they actually asked us if we cleaned the cabin. Don't waist you're money staying here unless you want to mice in everything

We just returned from a 4-night stay at the Glenwood Canyon Resort where we rented one of their two family cabins. The family cabin very comfortably accommodated our family of 5. We especially liked that the master bedroom has its own bathroom and is a nice distance away from the 2 kids' bedrooms and bathroom. The property is well maintained and in a beautiful location. The kids had a blast exploring the grounds and skipping rocks off the Colorado river, which runs adjacent to the resort. The property manager, Kevin, is exceptional. We were traveling to Glenwood Springs from Fort Collins and he called us while we were making the trip over to let us know that we need not rush and that if we arrived after the 4p.m. check-in time, he would make arrangements for us to get our cabin key. That really took the pressure off our drive. We highly recommend the Glenwood Canyon Resort when visiting the Glenwood Springs area. You can't beat the location, the value and the service.

This my first review of anything, but I think people need to know. The second star is because the setting in the Rocky Mountains is 5 star. Situated in a valley with a river next to it and abutting the city of Glenwood Springs, Co, known for its healing baths. The grounds themselves are clean and sites for RVs and trailers are spacious. Entirely on gravel. That being said, the owners are riding on their location. The cost is outrageous and they give you about 24 hours after making your reservation (even if you will be there days or weeks into the future) to cancel and get part of it back. All that being said, if the cost was within reason of other RV parks we would stay here again. However, it is not worth the cost if only passing through.

Absolutely the worst RV experience we have ever had. My family and I were traveling home to Georgia from Alaska and looked up RV resorts through Colorado. We found Glenwood Canyon RV resort and made reservations to stay the night. The website was well designed and it made the RV "Resort" truly look like a resort. They had zip lining, a rock wall, a ropes course, a resturant, and bar. All on site. We made the reservation and after mentioning my teacup yorkie and two children the price jumped up to $94.00. Now keep in mind we thought we made reservations at a "resort" so the extra 5 charge for the dog and extra 7.00 each for the two kids still seemed fair. After all you pay more for resorts because of the extra amenities and activities. We literally were so excited about getting there that we cut our trip through Arches National Park super short just so we could hurry and get there and let the kids have fun. We arrived at 4:00 pm. Check in was at 2:00 pm so we figured we still had plenty of fun to be had because the office didn't close until 10:00. After checking in and going to our site we plugged in and took our bikes down. We rode down to the building where all the activities were done. It was literally around 4:25 pm by the time we got there. It looked pretty cool and my kids immediately wanted to do the zip line. The zip line consisted of 1 zip line going across the river then 1 coming back. After finding out it was 35.00 per person and that we had to do it with them so it would've cost our family of 4, $140 dollars for 2 short zip lines we weren't sure about it but still asked when we could do it. The man behind the counter said the next zip line activity starts at 6:00 pm and it was also the last one of the day. We then asked about the rock wall. The man said the rock wall was closed. We then asked about the ropes course. Closed as well. We were shocked! It was a Saturday at 4:30 pm in the middle of July. Why was everything closed. I remembered asking if the resort was kid friendly and was there stuff for kids to do before making the reservation. We decided to go talk to the office and request a refund because there was no activities open and it was the only reason we paid the high price of the site, the resort fees, the child fees for each child, and the dog fee. The man working in the office got a lady from the back who came out to speak with us who bluntly said she is not giving us our money back. We had only been in the site for about 1 hour and were willing to pay some money for the power we consumed in that hour. She said absolutely no refunds. She said she gets this all the time?????people wanting to leave and wanting refunds. She probably shouldn't have said that because in my mind a well run, fun resort shouldn't run into this as often as she said she does. She went on to say that when we made the reservation over the phone we were told once it's been paid for it is non refundable. We RV all the time and have never ran into something like this. She said she was the one who made our reservation so she lied about the things there was to do. If she made the reservation then she also knew we would only be staying one night and she should have said their activities were not open. When I questioned her about this she said that all the activities were open and the next time slots were at 6:00. This was incorrect or a lie because we just came from the activity center/bar/ grill and they said the only thing they were doing was the zip line at 6:00. She acted like that was news to her. She got loud, then in turn my wife and I got loud. All we wanted was our money back and we would leave to go find a RV park that at least had a decent playground for the kids to play on. Then the manager called the police. I guess they can get loud but we couldn't. So after 2 very nice police officers arrived and took everyone's statement they were still unwilling to give us a refund. At first they told the police officers that if we chose to stay, we would have to stay inside our RV for the remainder of our stay. We couldn't go to the office or the activity building or the resturant. We would literally be confined to our RV. I guess they figured we would pitch a tent by the checkin office to warn other potential customers. This to us was unacceptable so we chose to leave and take it up with our credit card company later. This was a complete disaster and a huge waste of money. Do NOT get scammed by them!!!

Beautiful setting for a campground. FHU sites, 30/50 amp with water/sewer, but no pull thrus and Wifi only at upper & big rig sites. Very busy during the summer, fairly pricey. Riverfront sites (30') have fire rings. A bike trail right from the resort. Several camping cabins on the property. Raft trips available, Zip Line over the Colorado River across the canyon and much more. We did not get any TV reception here. And at night....total darkness!!
