Goosepond Colony Resort

The campground has really went down over the years. They are trying to improve the place which is nice to see. However they really need to do a better job maintaining what they have. The road is pretty terrible, the bathrooms are absolutely disgusting, wifi is basically non-existent. There's a lot of trash around the place. A lot of the permanent spots look pretty junky. This place has so much potential, it's sad to see how it's being ran.

Beautiful area. Numerous places to fish. Not crowded at all. Campground and cabins well maintained.

We just ate at The Docks. It's OK, nothing spectacular but adequate. Choices are limited for dining in the area if you want anything other than fast food so we eat here when in town. I had the shrimp and grits, it's OK. Had the prime rib once, it was awful. All gristle.

VERY nice large sites, many lakeside or with a great view. Some have sewer, some do not. All have picnic table and there are a couple bathhouses scattered about. Great bicycle riding around the loops. We had a very very nice 50 amp FHU site with cable TV right on the lake. Runs about $200 a week, but there are other sites that are less. They do not take reservations, office is open 8am to 4pm, so it's first come, first served. The week we are here they are hosting a fishing tournament so there are boats and trailers everywhere. We were able to find 3 decent spaces when we pulled in about 5pm and took #80 at the end of the park. - Review provided by RV Park Recommendations & Reviews Facebook Group
