Greensport RV Park & Campground

We love this campground.  We had a perfect spot at 209.  The people are super friendly and helpful.  I loved seeing the petting area and the quaint county store.   There were plenty of dog bag poop stations so no excuse not picking up after your fur babies.  My only recommendation would be on the hiking trail.  I followed the red dots but sadly got to an area that had nothing posted.  After going thru several clearings I had to retrace my tracks.  The first part of the trail was wonderful!  We don’t have small children but if we did,  this park is very kid friendly with a jumping pillow, playground, and two swimming pools.  The campsites themselves are level with table and fire ring.  Plenty of space!   We will come back.  Thank you so much.

This is one of the nicest campgrounds I have stayed at!  They are very friendly and the welcome package was so nice!  It’s a little off the beaten path but worth the drive!

We just wrapped up a weeklong stay at Greensport RV Park, and it was one of the most peaceful and scenic stops we’ve had in a while. Our site backed right up to the lake, and we ended up spending nearly every moment outside—meals at the picnic table, card games in the shade, and campfires each night with gorgeous sunsets over the water.

The park is surrounded by rolling hills and sits right on Neely Henry Lake, so the views are incredible no matter where you are. It’s quiet, spacious, and had just the kind of laid-back vibe we were looking for.

There are walking trails, a swimming beach, and the sweetest petting zoo (Granny the donkey totally won us over). The general store was surprisingly well stocked, and we appreciated having that on-site.

We didn’t use all the amenities—like the dog park or the jumping pillow—but there’s a ton to do for families or anyone who likes to stay active. Wi-Fi and cell service were both solid during our stay, and the campground was clean and well maintained.

Highly recommend this spot if you’re passing through northeast Alabama. We’re already talking about coming back.

Terrific RV park! Right on the lake. The dog park was a hit for my pup and I enjoyed the fishing and covered tables.

Great place, great hosts!  My long term stay was very pleasant. It's located on the Neely-Henry Lake. Good facilities with laundromats, 2 swimming pools, play areas for kids, camp-wide wifi, multiple events every week (a little something for every sort of person), marina, pontoon/slip rentals, golf cart rentals, general store, and many other amenities. Plus, they're always expanding.

My husband and I will be camping here 😁 as much as possible.my husband is supposed to be retired but continues to work on a daily basis and I think that is one of the reasons he loves this place. He can go home,feed the dogs check on the business and be back within an hour. l love the water and beautiful soroundings .the fact that there's very few mosquito bites is a big plus also.my husband built a small sailboat and launched it here some 50 years ago. In 1986 we had the very first Montgomery family reunion at the pavilion on the island.we injoyed the sailboat here that day.my two sons graduated from Ashville high school and have lots of happy memories in and around Greensport.l have lots of pictures of the beautiful 🌞 sunsets made here.In fact the background picture on my Facebook page along with many others were made here.we traded our camper for a Mobil home and planned to travel but once we learned of the new RV park that was being built in Greensport we were one of the first to ask for a spot. Our camper was in Mobile but as soon as we could  We came and we stayed. our boys have grown up camping and they have brought their family here too.Dave and Stephanie have two little boys that we love.They love us too and we are thrilled that they do. Thanks for all the work you have done  and continue to do.It has been great watching all the improvements .

We found this park by chance. It's close to Birmingham, and so quiet and peaceful. The lake and mountains are gorgeous. You feel welcomed by the family, and surrounded by history.

We swam in the pool, kayaked in the lake, road bikes to the historic store for ice cream, and in general got away from the world.

They are constantly adding, and we intend to go back!

Stayed a week and really enjoyed our stay! Owners were very friendly and helpful. Lot of work being put into the property, can’t wait to see the improvements upon our return!

Very private, remote location beside the river/backwater. Facilities include large private individual bathhouses, fenced dog park and children's playground and a laundry. Parking is spacious and graveled. If you need a quiet getaway, try Greensport!

The park was clean and had a great layout.   Staff was attentive and genuinely concerned with our stay being perfect.  Exceeded our expectations and will definitely be our park of choice for Alabama.

Great RV Park! We are living here while we build.  It is owned by a nice family who strive to make the park great and keep it 1st rate.  Clean bathhouses, new pool, WiFi available, new dog run for our pooches and it is on the lake in the county and quiet!!  We love it and highly recommend it.
