We have traveled in RV around Alaska for a few months and stayed on many RV campgrounds. Baycrest KOA is by far the best one! Staff is very friendly, grounds as well as bathrooms a laundry are SPOTLESS! And the views are out of this world! I would highly recommend to stay there.

If you want rude people and like to be rushed and continuously bothered, this is your spot. If you want to enjoy Homer, there’s places in the spit that are a million times better than this place. Good reviews are from friends or people who just used this place to spend a night and kept going.

This is such a great KOA. The staff is amazing, the campground is amazing, the bathrooms have heated floors and are very clean, showers are great, laundry room is huge with plenty of washers and dryers ($4.00 to wash and $3.00 to dry), and the view is fantastic. We had a back in patio site on the bay. Our site came with a BBQ, table and chairs and a firepit on a concrete pad. Wifi was really good. I wish our schedule allowed us to stay longer. We stayed 3 nights. It was quiet even though the campground sites along the main highway. There is a nice playground. They have plenty of tent sites as well as a cabin and some bunkhouses. If you are heading to Homer, this is the place to stay. Thanks for a fantastic memory.

This is a very very nice KOA. Up on top of a cliff overlooking the water just a few miles north of Homer. I stayed in the bunkhouse that sleeps 8. It is conveniently right next to the bathrooms. The shower facilities are first class and are possibly the best showers I have seen at any KOA.

Homer/Baycrest KOA is hands-down the best KOA we have ever stayed. If you have a trailer with a big window, spend the extra and book a patio site on the bluff. Site #9 has the best view but all of the sites on the bluff are fantastic! We stayed at the end of May through the beginning of June. Watching the bald eagles fly past our camper and over the bluff was amazing! A few eagles were only a few feet away from the camper! Watching the sunrises and sunsets on the mountains across Kachemak Bay was breathtaking. The campsite is a short drive to Homer and the Spit but far enough away to get away from the noise. We did not use the facilities, so I cannot say anything about the restrooms or laundry. Wi-Fi was okay. Finally, every staff member we encountered was kind and friendly. Every single one. The next time we come to Alaska, Site #9 at the Homer/Baycrest KOA will be one of our stops.

A nice little place for RV glamping! They have clean bathrooms and showers. You can see Mt. Augustine from here!

We stay at KOA’s often and appreciate them. However Homer KOA exceeded expectations more than any other KOA in USA that we have been to. Check in went great and the woman warned us there could be road noice due to construction and if it bothered us she said we could move ourselves wherever we felt would be quieter. Even if the spot cost more . We stayed as it wasn’t that bad. The laundry and shower facilities were so very nice and clean. The views were gorgeous and even though they planned to turn off the water for the winter, they kept the water on for us. We highly recommend this campground!

On a four month road trip and Homer was a must visit for us. There are a number of RV Park options but in looking through the reviews, all were hit or miss except this KOA. So glad we decided to stay here. Check in was a breeze and when I asked if there was something with a better view, the young lady after some checking gave us site 40. This site is in a circle and the Park was being visited by a large caravan group whom had 30-40ft rigs. The circle sites could be challenging but fortunately, we were small and fit nicely between the larger rigs. Park is very clean, several bathroom buildings and a new laundry/shower building is now open. Nice dog run and if you have little ones, there is a small play ground. The store is well stocked with snacks and those last minute RV needs. Short drive into Homer. Strong wifi but lets talk views. Slept with our star gazing window open hoping to see the Northern Lights. Best place hands down to stay in Homer in an RV. The Park also owns the gas station next door.

As soon as we pulled in we asked to stay two more days on top of our three. Although we had to move we couldn't have been happier as we went from the site right next to the park (very convenient for the kids) to the lower portion where the view was stunning. These sites are well maintained and the new wash house with laundry is clean and inviting. The service was friendly and engaging while the store is well stocked. And if you need anything they don't have there is a gas station right next door that has a convenience store and a diner open for breakfast and lunch. We ate there on the last day and it was a great fill me up before hitting the road. The location is amazing as it is outside Homer proper and opposite side of the spit which makes it feel a little more like camping although it's not too far to drive in. Would recommend this KOA and definitely would return our next trip to the Peninsula!

This site is amazing. The service was great and helpful (offered to drive my firewood back for me). The bath house was spacious clean and felt new. There is a nice space to wait and play games while doing laundry. The view is just incredible. Convenient location, a decent amount of room to back an rv in. Fairly quiet for the amount of campers. Very well kept grounds. The bathrooms were cleaned quite often.

Five star for an unexpected hole in the wall burger spot. Our AirBnB was right around the corner so we had a quick takeaway meal here one night. Unexpectedly delicious burger meal and some homemade cinnamon rolls. Hard to find good food for cheap these days but got it done at. Baycrest!

The ice creams bomb cuz it's Tillamook and everything else is really overpriced the food from their Deli kind of sucks cuz it's really overpriced and it's not satisfying

Great place, spent a week here...kids loved playing on the boat...staff was super helpful, and camp host was a great guy...the only down side was the lack of staff at the store which resulted in limited hours....otherwise 5 stars!

We stayed here with family for our first visit ever to Alaska. The view was absolutely breathtaking. I couldn’t get enough of it. The gas station on site was wonderful with a little restaurant attached. The food was great. On top of it, there was an employee, Hailey, in the KOA gift shop that I was talking to about all the wild rhubarb growing around here. I’m from Florida and rhubarb doesn’t grow in the south. Hailey went home and brought me a large bag of rhubarb to take home with me!!! She is amazing and a breath of fresh air in this world where going above and beyond seems to be few and far between. Thank you Hailey for making our stay that much better.
