Kaibab/Ten X Campground | Grand Canyon Village, AZ

This is a national forestry campground.   It is extremely well maintained.   They have campground hosts for each loop so you do not have to track down the host if you need assistance.   All of the hosts I spoke with were professional, friendly, helpful and all around amazing.

Many of the sites are not very level so you have to choose wisely.

The only loop open year round is loop E, which is first come, first serve.

Super clean including pit toilets.  Very quiet and peaceful.  Camp hosts are wonderful.

Ten-x campground is a great place to stay. If you make reservations, it's very well maintained and it's reserved for you. There are on-site hosts to help you with your camp spot if necessary and any problems that arise. There are a couple good loops that you can choose from and it is well maintained. I would recommend this. I am a local to Arizona and I stay here during the summer yearly multiple times. It's really close to the Grand canyon with great access to all things Grand canyon. You do not need to bring wood. You can just go around and collect any wood from falling trees that are within the campsite and you can burn them in the pits. It's generally very quiet and everybody is respectful. There are group spots available but you need to reserve them in advance. If you find this review helpful, please thumbs up.

The Tusayan-Montane Campground is just South of Tusayan and the South Rim of the Grand Canyon.  Reservations are via recreation.gov and there are first come first serve sights.  We camped near the end of June and the campground had many open sites in the FCFS section.  Facilities are limited, drinking water, trash dumpsters and pit toilets.  However, the campground itself is clean and the sites are very spaced out.  Each site has a picnic table and fire ring. We stayed in a pull through site, large enough for our truck and trailer with room to spare.  The sizes of the sites are accurate on recreation.gov.  The camp hosts were really friendly and came through a few times a day to check the toilets and make sure things were going smoothly.

Availability - excellent first come first serve and reservations.
Ambience - excellent with a lot of space, nature trails and trees and wildlife.
Limitations - RV water and dump station at Mather Campground inside the park.  No shuttle stop for Grand Canyon.  No other services.

The campsite was very clean and spacious!  The host also allowed us to add an extra vehicle when he learned about our situation.  He was very accommodating.  Thank you!

Huge USFS Campground with level tent pads and super easy access to GCNP. Many first come sites held back for use and finding those couldn’t have been easier. The host was so pleasant and friendly, vault toilets were clean, and of course the setting was outstanding. Will definitely use again if visiting South Rim!

Great place to access the Grand Canyon at a lower rate than most accommodations. The camp host Brealen was very nice and has been there every summer for 10 years. Although it’s 142 spots it doesn’t feel crowded, it’s laid out well and there’s plenty of empty space. We found someone’s lost dog and reunited him with his owners. Heard an elk cry in the distance, too.

This was an excellent campground for visiting Grand Canyon. A quick 10 minutes outside the main entrance to the park. This campground and restrooms were impeccably clean and offered sites that were nicely separated from one another. The camp hosts were friendly and helpful. There’s a section of about 14 campsites that are first come first serve so if you’re in the area and you don’t have a reservation try and get here early, and see if you can snatch one.

For $10 it's a great place to stay to see the grand canyon. Only downside is the traffic getting into the park. Found water spigot in day use but it didn't work. No trash cans, all dumpsters are in day use. There are unmarked and unmaintained trails thru and around the campground. There are several loops including a group loop, only Elk loop was open. No camp hosts. No one ever came by to check if we had paid. Very unsafe, no police presence or enforcement rangers. Vault toilets only. Snowed when we were here but we are self contained in our trailer so it didn't bother us.

Stayed in Group Site Loop A and the campground was way better than expected. The facilities were all clean, animal proof trash bins, a built in concrete fire pit and giant gazebo with a couple of camp grills made this experience. The camp staff was easy to work with and the entire campsite had lots of tree coverage. Loved my time here with the grand canyon really close!!
