I had an awesome time at Lake Minden Thousand Trails! The bathrooms were clean, which was a major plus. The lake was beautiful, and there were tons of fun activities to do. Plus, the staff was really friendly!

Awesome park in a quiet area. We stayed in their cabins for 2 nights and our children had a blast watching the wildlife in the pond, playing at the playground, and running with our dog at the dog park. The cabin was very clean when we got there and the beds were comfortable. We will definitely be planning another trip here again soon!

I am a religious Lake Minden camper through Thousand Trails RV. It’s one of my favorite stops. With my Travel Trailer. This place is phenomenal. Fishing is remarkable. Great catfishing. (Not gonna tell you my good spots. Ha ha)The place is spotless. The staff keeps it amazingly clean. The office staff the minute you walk in is top notch.TRY IT OUT. YOU WONT BE LET DOWN.

We always have a wonderful stay at Thousand Trails Lake Minden! This park is incredibly family- and kid-friendly, which made our stay even better. The playground and mini golf were big hits, and it was so nice having safe spaces where the kids could play outside freely without us constantly worrying.

The lake adds a peaceful, relaxing feel to the campground, and the grounds are well maintained and clean. The atmosphere is calm and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and helpful during our stay.

It’s a great place for families, especially those traveling with kids, as well as long-term RVers looking for a comfortable and safe environment. We truly enjoyed our time here and would absolutely stay again. Highly recommend!

Well, lots to be said about this campground. First, the assistant manager was very helpful with me when an entitled woman decided to remove my laundry from the machine. Thank you for your help. The staff here are great, the campground could use some TLC. Far too many potholes on the path around the lake. The laundry needs a plumber to install proper drainage so it doesn't flood. The lake itself is rather muddy, and the fish consist of Catfish, Carp, and Small mouth Bass. The park hardly had any sewer sites so be prepared to use public bathrooms or dump stations. I have stayed here 3 times and the water has been turned off for at least a day during all 3 visits which I found odd. Park has too many people on the verge of homeless staying at it, these people bouncing back and forth between the local thousand trails parks around. Like that's not what the parks were designed for and it shouldn't be allowed. Outside of that most sites are 30 amp. The grounds are fairly well kept, bathrooms are clean, overall 4 out of 5 stars.

Reading other reviews, It looks like they've been trying really hard to improve the appearance of Lake Mindon campground. I was impressed with how clean and neat everything was. The common ground areas were well mowed and maintained. The miniature golf area was in excellent shape.The lodge was neat and clean and well stocked. The restroom in section A, where there is full hookups, was a little old, but clean.The restroom in section D, where there is only electric and water, was in excellent shape, including the big showers. I would have no problem using those showers or restroom. Next time I come to visit, I will stay in section D because there's a little more room between the campsites. Section A is a little tight but it's closer to all the amenities, such as the lodge, golf and boat dock.

If you don't want to be a buffet for mosquitoes, please save yourself and your kids. Stay away from this place.

Update after 4days, my friend that I invited to camp with us just went to urgent care today, because of the insect bites she got from this place is not getting better, and the doctor said it was from a flea not mosquitoes.  So yeah they better do something about this infested place.

Lake Minden is a nice park, with nice staff, and RVers. I definitely recommend visiting. A couple items to be aware of. Water pressure is very low which is not necessarily a bad thing because your saving on water and your tanks don't full up so fast. I recommend keeping water in your fresh tank as a backup. They did have to turn the water off for 3 hours but the staff literally came door to door the day before preparing everyone in advance and even left a note if you weren't home. So everyone had the opportunity to prepare and fill your tanks if needed. Secondly, there are LOTS of mosquitoes!!! Not the parks fault but bring your bug spray, mosquito net, and any type of repellent because you won't be able to stay outside for long.  One recommendation is to mow the grassy areas between sites because mosquitos love tall grass. My wifi signal was good and was able to switch from TMobile to Starlink only because my site had trees and I would have had to place my dish in the middle of the  road or across from my site. I chose neither because I did not want vehicles driving over my cord which another RVer chose to do.....yikes.... I believe most or all sites are 30 amp. The class A across from me said his was 30 amp.  Electric was good. Looks like they are are replacing pedestals because mine was brand new.  They have paddle boats to rent but due to the numerous mosquitos it would have been very difficult. Lake Miden is truly a nice park, they were full the whole time I was visiting, close to shopping, and Walmart delivers as well.  Looking forward to see what other things they add to the park. This place was a nightmare for us. There was 2 Hispanic, 1 white and 1 black person staying together .The lady said she was the assistant manager. We booked our stay through thousand trails. She locked the bathrooms, told us we were unable to charge our phones on the property, she refused us the right to cook even though there was a grill on every campsite. A white couple was however allowed to cook on their own personal grill not using what the property gave for us! We had bought their fishing license for $8. She came over and told my son(Hispanic) and a black man who was another guest that fishing wasn’t allowed. They both showed their permits and they were in a fishing area she said she makes the rules and couldn’t fish. However it was posted no fishing on the dock! A white man was fishing there. She said nothing to him or asked him to move! Or even asked for his license!!! It was very obviously that we were being treated differently than the other white guests! I will never go back or recommend this place to anyone. A very sad experience!!! It’s 2025 and people are still racist…

This park had a lovely grassy area by the lake with a couple, nice outdoor amenities. Unfortunately, they had a dumpster across from the site that was overflowing onto the ground.  We endured the flies for our two day stay.  It was so bad, we couldn't spend anytime outdoors and everytime we opened the front door, the flies came in.  It was unsanitary, and really ruined the experience.  Spoke to two of the staff members about it, but they seemed unconcerned.  Apparently this is an ongoing problem as there were other sites with outdoor fly traps.  An additional pickup day should be called in by the management responsible for this campground. Consider relocating the dumpster to the other end of the parking area, away from camper sites.

This place surprised us it was very good tasting food done well would definitely go again we are not from that area on v a cation but will go when we pass back by

So fun! We just came home from our first camping trip ever alone. Greeter at the Welcome Desk was so sweet. Cafe had a good salt-free burger. Found a cute little w/e hookup campsite for our new RV van.

Very nice little place.  Lake is large.  Staff very friendly and helpful.  First time experiencing a restaurant on site.  Good food, good prices. We will be back. Dog races and a little Trunk and Treat for the kids.  First tow with our new truck.

Well if you have a smaller rig you might like it. Max of 40x14 but good luck getting in.  all sites 30 amp no full hookups. SOME have a sewer but only on a rotation use can not stay connected those sites are small cant use awnings and slides may touch . Ill make a video before I leave. All gravel drives small bath house And wifi is slow dial up is faster. Has a nice big pond down side is road is one way around it and is not very wide you have to white knuckle it or drop your rig in .... over all not worth the 2k mile trip for me but I’m a larger rig so you my like in if your 30ish ft. 
ad’l comment: We have been here twice and enjoyed it. There is an area in the front where there are full hook ups with a rotation of when you can dump your sewer. We like to stay on the other side of the lake. There are trees but only electric and water sites. The sites are large and grassy(weeds). They do have the honey wagon service on Tues and Fri for $25 There is a one lane road around the camp ground and lake. It is plenty wide enough for all sized rigs no sharp turns or hills. No worries of rig going into lake. Great area for kids to ride bikes, swim and fish. They offer rental of kayaks and paddle boats. Lots of activities if you like to join in.
