Reasonably priced and fairly local to the LA/OC area. A great little camping getaway spot. The lake is nice for swimming or boating and there are a couple hikes nearby of varying difficulty and length. Campsites are clean and the restrooms are fairly roomy.

Beautiful area. The lake is quite large and you can swim in it. Great camping as well.

What a beautiful state recreation area of Lake Perris. I came here for SSBD and camp out for the festival. Watching the sunrise here was so magical. It’s very easy to find a lot that you’re staying in. I didn’t know this place existed and it’s so cool. How much area it has. Especially coming here to swim in the lake. Will definitely come here again to camp with my friends.

Beautiful lake! Camping, paddle boarding, sailing, boating, jet skiing & fishing. Beach area, restrooms, picnic & barbecue areas too! Go for the day or spend multiple days camping. Lots of parking. Great place to take friends & family🙂

Always enjoy going to the lake and just being with family. We camp there and head to the lake early. The campsites are usually pretty clean. Check in staff are pleasant and this time patrol actually came around during quiet hours to regulate their policy. This was nice only because sometimes it's battle of the bands. We've gone annually since 2021 and enjoy it

One of My Favorite Spots! Lake Perris is hands down one of my favorite places to escape to for a relaxing and fun day outdoors. The entrance fee is $20 per car on weekends and only $10 on weekdays, definitely worth it for the experience! The scenery is absolutely stunning, surrounded by desert rocky hills that contrast beautifully with the warm, crystal-clear blue water. The shoreline is a bit rocky, but nothing that requires water shoes. In the summer, lifeguards are present, which adds peace of mind, especially for families. Parking is surprisingly easy, even on busy weekends. Just keep in mind, there’s no store inside the park, so pack all your food and snacks ahead of time. Luckily, the nearby city is close enough if you need to grab something after your visit. If you’re bringing kids, I strongly recommend bringing life jackets for swimming. The lifeguards are strict, and anyone paddle boarding or kayaking must wear one too. Safety first! The park has shaded areas with picnic tables and grills, which makes it perfect for a BBQ with family or friends. Just know that weekends can get loud near the beach with music from other visitors. Restrooms are available and camping is also an option if you want to stay overnight. There’s also a bike path around the lake, and the ride is gorgeous. Out on the water, you’ll see small boats and jet skis creating small waves, but overall, the lake remains calm and enjoyable. And don’t miss the sunset, it’s the perfect way to end the day with a breathtaking view. Whether you’re swimming, kayaking, grilling, or just relaxing by the shore, Lake Perris is a beautiful place to spend the day with your family:)

As modernized as it is, there's a definite "tribal atmosphere" in all levels of the RV camping spots. The marina store parking is ample but the store front itself was a little more concealed. Lots of spots to put in watercraft. Looks like day use is the best this place offers. As for the acreage, they say it has the potential to fill up very quickly on hot weekends but most locals consider it a "last resort" and "sketchy". Very pretty.

Beautiful scenery they have A lot of things to do. You can bring bring your jet skis or boats to ride on one side of lake. There’s a portion of the park where you can go camping they have hiking trails. You can ride horseback on some of those trails. It’s a lot of space swimming was really fun. The kids are able to go a nice distance before the water starts to get really deep. What makes it good for small kids your able to bring your dogs….. but it wasn’t a lot of ppl cleaning up after there dog. Others than that the only other bad thing was the bathroom was horrible like there was body waste everywhere and it was so disgusting I pee in a cup near my car… I tried finding staff and calling nobody was around dealing with clean on ppl I can was life guard and the patrol frequently the park.. oh the kids have to have a life vest in order to swim with any floating toys in the water so you may want to plan accordingly lastly there was bbq pit in certain area but they did allow ppl to girl rite next to the water

An amazing freshwater dam with a swimming beach, play areas, great sunset view, kept clean with good amenities such as restrooms, picnic areas, and changing stations. Drive is beautiful to this place and vehicles entry is $10 per regular vehicle/car/suv.

What a gem of a state park! I needed to be by water and nature and just decompress and this was such a great park! So many opportunities to hike, bike or even ride horses. Lots of paved pathways, loved walking the dam, sitting on the beach and enjoyed seeing loons and other creatures along the way.

Great campsites. All the amenities. If you are camping with someone who has never camped before, or if you are with small kids, this is the place for you! The lake is only a two minute drive or 10 minute walk from the bobcat campground. The marina sells fire wood, 10$ a bundle. Also, it's close enough to LA to make it well worth the trip! It's also close enough to Moreno canyon to run to town for anything you forgot.

My son and I originally drove to Perris looking for a hiking trail and ended up right in front of the Lake. No one was here but us so it was surreal. It felt like we were in a completely different place the sun was really bright no wind it was during the summer on a Tuesday. Beautiful view. Will definitely return to have a picnic. There were signs to stay out of the water. No swimming! Plenty of parking available and restrooms by the lot. Picnic tables too. I wish I could have found the trails.
