Easy accessible with my Dually and 5th wheel hookup. Fun day at the park here. Always fun to escape the city and go hiking and camping.

Have stayed at several Sun Outdoor properties and have always enjoyed the facilities as we have found them to be top notch. Unfortunately Leaf Verde is not one of these. Leaf Verde is not a “Resort” by any means and nothing more than a trailer park in the desert. Full of permanent residences with storage sheds, dog pens, run down vehicles, and other unsightly items attached to their trailers. Staff was very friendly and felt sorry for them as they had to pick up trash and dog feces left everywhere including the play areas for the kids. After it rained our site reeked of dog urine. Nothing against the residence that live there, but Sun Outdoors needs to remove resort and rename it a trailer park so you know what you are reserving, especially at the price being charged per night. They also need to update the photos since the ones they use are from many years ago. This park is surrounded by houses. Would avoid staying here.

The people who own the campground regularly favor certain guests. This leads to conflicts and "favored guests" who are allowed to do anything that they want to. They do whatever they want, and all of the other guests are left to fend for themselves. Their power supply is not adequate for the number of campers and trailer homes that are in this park. There are frequent power outages because of this complete oversight. The laundry facilities are out of date, and the campground frequently does not have adequate water pressure. The wifi is also trash.

★★ Not What We Expected at Leaf Verde RV Resort We recently stayed at Leaf Verde RV Resort and left feeling disappointed. The entirely unpaved grounds were dusty and dirty, making it difficult to keep our RV and outdoor space clean. The cramped layout means you're practically on top of your neighbors, with barely enough space to extend your awning without touching the next rig. Dog owners beware - there are very limited designated areas for walking pets, and what exists isn't well-maintained. The park appears to cater primarily to long-term residents, which gives it more of a permanent mobile home park feel rather than a welcoming resort atmosphere for travelers. While the location might be convenient for some, the cramped spaces, dusty conditions, and limited amenities make it hard to recommend. There are better options in the area for short-term RV stays.

We booked this camping location because it advertised a swimming pool and free WiFi. Pool was closed indefinitely for maintenance. WiFi is so bad that it’s unusable. Only 1-bar of cell signal at site so work calls are barely possible. Mostly permanent “campers.” Expect lots of hard workers leaving for work at 4-5am in diesel trucks. Zero nature here whatsoever. Camp site is so skinny that our pop-out is 6” from neighbor’s permanent encampment.

There are a number of reasons that we will not return to this RV Resort, the least of which is not the personality of office staff. There was a mix up in our reservations, which “the office” was very annoyed about and had no reservations about insinuating that it was our fault. Clearly it was not. We even brought it to the attention of the attendant that checked us in and parked us – and he said he would notify the office. Nonetheless, there is a huge safety issue here. An accident waiting to happen that all potential visitors should be aware of. There is a footpath that runs from one end of the park to the other – straight through the middle. This footpath crosses eleven roads. There are no cautions for the vehicular traffic on the streets about the approaching path, nor on the path for the pedestrians. Kids are always riding their bikes or running down the path across the streets – without the slightest consideration that they are crossing a road. Similarly, vehicular traffic moves down the streets also without any regard for kids bolting across the streets on the footpath. We were parked very close to the footpath and saw a number of close calls. It’s just a matter of time. No matter how slow a vehicle may be going – the driver would simply be unable to avoid a collision if the timing were right. But many of the vehicles are moving pretty quickly. Resort management seems to have done nothing to mitigate this situation. Watch the kids !!

Arrived 30 mins before check in. Linda the receptionist needs to find a different career path. Campground is clean, well maintained, very tight spaces with just enough room for a picnic table between them. Good overnight stop. Not sure I would spend a longer period of time here.

It appears to be very clean and tidy. All homes were well kept up on their outside appearances. It is gated that's a bonus! That's about all I know about it. Asked if I would consider living at this place I would say yes!

Nice clean showers, bathrooms, great clubhouse with 2 pool tables, lots of books or movies to exchange, heated pool. Convenient location to Phoenix and still out of the city in a small town. Mountain bike trails nearby also. The only negative is that they have you face your neighbors live side of their camper and the sites are narrow.
