Mission Bay RV Resort

Once again, the pool and jacuzzi are cold and once again, it's a weekend, which means it will be down for another week. It's a lovely resort that has basically one amenity. Raising prices makes sense, but not when they continue to not check the one amenity throughout the day to make sure it's in tip top shape. It starts to feel like the thermostat is adjusted to save money, because why would you advertise everywhere about this amazing pool they put in and refurbished, but not make it a number one priority? No one takes responsibility? Just know you may get a cold jacuzzi and pool when you arrive, and the response will be, "you can go to campland?" So why doesn't the people who maintain camplands pool also maintain mission bay? Because their pool is always running?

This RV park is in a great place, right by the water. Spots are clean and enough room for 2 cars. The facility has very nice people working in the office. Karina and Cinthia are both extra super helpful and professional, I stopped by the office to get info about a reservation and they went above and beyond to help me with my needs. We are really pleased with how great this place is, and enjoying our time in this park. The rangers and staff work hard to keep this place clean and safe, Mr Juan is awesome !!!

Great location and our space was very spacious. Had rain and our spot turned into a lake. Poor drainage and no gravel or concrete slabs. Which resulted in a muddy mess. It’s unfortunate they’re investing very little in this park and charging fees for a first rate rv park. Won’t stay there again unless they upgrade.

I stayed here for one month Nov 2023-Dec 2023. Here is everything you need to know. Nancy is the only person who works here who knows what going on. If you stay for over a month, you get taxes back but only if the guy at the front desk is working that day and feels like doing it. If hes not in, it doesnt get done (his words). I had to sign my life away to stay here for the one month and while the guy was taking copies of my ID, he printed it to a printer "somewhere at campland". They are extremely unorganized. I extended my stay by 2 nights a week before I was supposed to leave. On my original departure date, the guy at the front desk called me at 11:59 (checkout is 12) and asks me why we arent leaving yet since check out is today. I have to remind that I am staying an extra two nights. They have a book full of rules that you must follow but then security decides that day which ones are enforced and which ones aren't. There are signs everywhere saying no ebikes or scooters in the park but they are everywhere. Kids zooming around on electric dirt bikes. I rinsed off my paddle-board one day after the beach and was told no washing allowed on the grounds. Then for the next 2 weeks of my stay, someone was washing their vehicles and trailers everyday and nobody said anything. We decided to wash our truck since everyone else was doing it and was never told it wasnt ok again. I had a clothes line up for 3 weeks. Did laundry every single week and I was right beside the ranger station so they saw me doing it, during my last week they told me someone complained about it so I had to take it down. They have pickle ball courts, when I asked the games room person for rackets, they said the court wasnt on their property and they dont have any rackets. The court is right beside the laundry room so it is on their property. Every single day they were out there with leaf blowers blowing around dirt, stones, etc. My paddle board was behind my trailer, in my back in site where the back of my site was a fence. It was sitting there for 2 weeks during my stay, everytime I went to use it was covered it dirt and dust from them blowing it around. The inside of my trailer got dust everywhere since I like to have my windows open. Truck & trailer also covered in dirt from this. It is really inconsiderate to be blowing this stuff at peoples belongings everyday while they are here. It was really frustrating to have all these rules they make you sign off on following but then day to day what you can do is different. The spot is really nice, they have a long path that follows the bay. Some of the sites are bigger than others, I was happy with the site we got. This is not a bad place to stay, you will probably enjoy your time here but it is just frustrating when nobody knows what they are doing.

I cannot say enough about the Mission Bay RV Resort. Although we needed to leave early due to a family emergency, the time we spent at the resort was EXCEPTIONAL. We were in spot 28 and it was close to the resort amenities, as well as, the bay. The cherry on top was the STAFF. From the first phone call with John to the interactions with Nancy...just super. The cherry on top was the interactions with Teresa, Jeffrey, Tom, Doug, Tamara and others at the security station. We just cannot say enough about these individuals and how great they were. They enjoy their job and it shows. The grounds were impeccable. Thank you for the great memories and we can't wait to have many more to come in future years. They have a customer for life. ❤️

I love this place! The staff are friendly and helpful. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because of the after-hours online reservation system. It won't let you create an account and don't add any hyphens or dashes. It won't work.

Site 222. Huge and facing the cove. Quiet and private. A little noisy every now and then from trailer traffic entering campground but it’s nice people watching. Short bike ride to camp land market and cantina or short drive to Sprouts or other markets.

I paid for the best spot, as close to the water as possible, which wasn’t cheap. It turned out to be the front spaces of their parking lot. So, I was right next to the entrance. About 100 yards from water, across the entryway & then 50 yards of sandy beach. There was a medium amount of traffic. Make sure to be ready for raccoon visitors! They like to climb inside trailers/RVs undercarriages and tear things up. These raccoons seemed practically tame and came close enough to take food from my hand so they’re being fed. Not good.

We've stayed here 3 times with a large group each time. We all had fun and relaxed at the cove or at the pool. The pool was redone and it came out so good! The kid's and adults enjoyed the game room as well. Highly recommend.

We’ve been staying here for two weeks every summer for years now and we’ll keep coming back—it just gets better and better.

Great location, easy interstate access, plenty of restaurants nearby, nice pool, spa and activities room. On the water with nice views. RV spots are a little cramped, driving in the park takes extra patience since people park in the street. Full time onsite security - not sure why but hey, they're there so figured I mention it.

Spent 6 months here and it was a complete delight - the staff are very friendly and supportive - Leo was especially supportive when I had to move from one site to another. It is a very quiet RV resort - we sleep very well here. Located right on the Mission Bay means my dog walks are wonderful!

Mission bay was such a great place to live during a long term stay. There’s security, a pool, a club house, laundry, a beautiful path close by and in a great location. The Maintenance team is very helpful as well. As a long term stayer, the mail situation was pretty bad. They didn’t have a good system and mail seemed to get lost for days on end because of it. Also, sadly we had to leave because we couldn’t extend another month due to no spots being available. Unfortunately it seemed to be because certain employees were not willing to move certain spots around. What was frustrating was we saw many spots vacant for well over a month, same size rig and we were there in the off season. I definitely still recommend this Rv park for its many pluses. it was far better than many I’ve stayed at! Other long term stayers were extremely nice and friendly. Overall wonderful experience and would definitely come back!
