Older resort that needs a great deal of love. Stayed in south section with paved pads All hookups worked well. Bath and shower facilities were clean and well cared for. Landscaping could really use some updating. Walking around DeAnza Bay, there are hundreds of deserted RV sights, many with great views of the water. Why are these left deserted when they could be so much more appealing and profitable for the management? If we came again, we would stay in the newer area with the larger pull throughs even though they are dirt.

We love this place. My husband stays here long term as he is stationed here, and we opted to stay during the summer even at the increased rates. For us it was worth the cost (location, privacy, and amenities). We had a bad experience at another park and had to stay at it for a week before something opened up back here. Kids love the pool, access to the bay, going on bike rides and going across the bridge to Campland to get ice cream. SeaWorld is across the bay so you can sit by the water and watch the closing fireworks. There are several close parks along the walking/bike path. Kids love the big one (about 3.5 miles) that we bike to. Though there is one right by the front office they like too. My husband has had nothing but good experiences with everyone who works here. They keep it clean and well maintained. We like staying on the NW side by the bridge, the sites are bigger but the downside is they are unpaved. Only complaint is the ants at these sites. We lined ground points with diatomaceous earth (we have small kids) and it helps. My husband will be coming back here when long term starts back up until he deploys. It’s worth the little extra cost to feel a bit more secure and have some space.

Good place to stay. Friendly staff. Good overall location to many of the best parts of San Diego. Good showers / restrooms. Great beach access to the bay. Very good for families with kids.

Amazing location but the place felt very over crowded. Office was very overwhelmed with holiday check in. Skunks got in a fight behind our camper one night and sprayed. Our camper also got invaded by ants. It’s too bad law enforcement doesn’t run off all the RVs staying overnight just outside the park. Basically a crowded parking lot where the weather is great and easy bay access.

Booking my reservation at Mission Bay RV Resort was a delightful experience, thanks to Erin's exceptional customer service. From the moment I called, Erin greeted me warmly and displayed a genuine eagerness to assist. Her knowledge about the resort and its amenities was outstanding, and she patiently answered all my questions, ensuring I had all the information I needed to make an informed decision. Erin's sincere enthusiasm and helpfulness made me feel valued as a customer. Thank you!

An excellent RV resort, very clean, public restrooms, pool, jacuzzi and showers. Spaces are large, and if you get the premium bay view spots, you can also see fireworks at SeaWorld daily!

Here from July 1st to the 15th. Nice friendly family type community amongst the RVers. Dog friendly, too. Safe for the kids to ride their bikes or scooters. Great place to unwind and relax. Paddleboard area.

Beautiful water, and nice front desk... but the resort absolutely needs some major renovation, upgrades and basic road, pothole and camp site repairs

This resort was outstanding. The staff was friendly and helpful. The check in was easy. The resort was clean and well kept. Our family had a wonderful weekend.

Great place for parties, terrible place for anything else. I read the good reviews, so we must have picked a bad weekend. There were a few very large groups having parties and spilling into common areas, roads and surrounding campsites. We were next to a group of 5 RVs that invited all their friends to the weekend long party. There were at least 30 adults, plus cars, kids, bikes, golf carts and a powerful sound system. They had zero sense of boundaries or the other campers around them. We called the rangers a couple of times because the music was so loud we couldn’t even hear our own TV inside. They tole me “this is a beach resort, not a library.” If you’re thinking of staying here, you should know this is the policy.

UPDATE 5/11/2024 - UNNECESSARY MOVE! The RV resort told us we had to move because someone else reserved the site we were on. I called numerous times to confirm with the front office that the new tenants were still coming. We have been staying long term since September 2023 in the same lot. Now they tell us we have to move because someone else is going to be staying on our site! WHY MAKE SOMEONE STAYING LONG TERM IN THE SAME SPOT MOVE??! And guess where they had us move???! TWO SITES DOWN!!!! Why not take the time to offer that site to the new tenants? I’m sure they would’ve taken it. Instead we had to pack up all our stuff and move TWO SITES DOWN!!! And to make things worse, GUESS WHAT?!!! YES, THE NEW TENANTS NEVER EVEN SHOWED UP!!!! Good job Mission Bay RV Resort! 👏🏽 Another disappointing experience which brings our experience down to ⭐️⭐️. The front office needs help!!! ————————- The resort is a pleasant stay with good amenities. Amenities include laundry facilities, rec room, pool, and jacuzzi. The grounds are in a decent shape. Their security in my opinion could use some help. Since I have been staying here there has been a number of bikes stolen, even while chained! The security guard my girlfriend reported the incident to, did not care and was actually rude to her. Appearance- the campground is decent in appearance but definitely not the best kept. The groundkeepers do their best but I think they are also undermanned. There’s a lot of property space around the campgrounds that are unkept. This may be due to the city owning it or not but either way it’s an eyesore. Front Office - definitely needs help! Every time I go to the office or speak to them over the phone it honestly seems like they don’t know what they’re doing or at the least not all on the same page. This is not just my opinion but the opinion of A LOT of tenants here. They also pick and choose who rules apply to, which is not fair. If I have to leave for 24 hrs because of the 89 day rules then everyone should leave for 24hrs. I will say some employees in the front office are nice and others are rude specifically John! I’ve had to deal with him a handful times and each time he is other than friendly or acts like he is being bothered to do his job. I tried to explain an issue we had with situation and he cut me off and said “sir you can argue with me all you want, it’s not going to change anything!” I was simply passing information to him. If I was running that office I would do a complete overhaul of how business is ran, starting with customer service!!! People who go to the resort are on vacation and are looking for a good time not to be treated awful. I expressed my concerns to management and they were very receptive but I can only assume it was addressed but the change and the word of mouth of the tenants will be the proof. I just wanted to give everyone a heads up of what you will be dealing with if you stay here. This is my honest opinion on the RV resort based off my experience.

This was our 2nd stay at Mission Bay RV Resort. We enjoyed our stay both times. The new shower house was wonderful to use. We stayed in the part that has dirt sites because they are wider apart. It is a great location to everything you want to do in San Diego. We will visit again. Photos show views from the campground.

Very bad experience. we couldn't reserve online for the same day so we called several times well before 5pm but no one answered. When we arrived at the campsite at 1730, there was a telephone number for rangers: we called this number several times but no answer. We were tired from the trip and have two small children, so we looked for an empty spot with the idea of reporting ourselves the next day. The next morning we are 'escorted' by security to the reception and treated as if we were criminals. What should we have done then? Not friendly or hospitable at all and also far too expensive for what they offer.

We spent a week at this RV resort and everything was great. Bathrooms and showers were cleaned at least twice a day. The staff was great we checked out a day early and they refunded us one day. The price was a bit high but you know what they say location, location, location . The location is very beautiful and so is the area around it. If we make it back there again we would stay at the same location.
