We had a great time today at the Special Kids Connect event that was held at the Monterey County Fairgrounds. There were lots of information booths, games with prizes, and resources. Even a fire truck was on hand to let kids explore it.

We were there for the Monterey Jazz Festival. Great venue. The Arena afforded great views & sounds. The indoor venues, strangely, had not ventilation, and became intolerable, if not downright dangerous. Fair range of food service outlets. Some (like the Cajun outfit) were clearly mom & pop and unable to cope, but then, why not? At least they were there, and very apologetic when unable to fulfill the jambalaya ordered and accepted 30 minutes previously!

First time here for Cali Roots Fest. Great venue with easy accessibility and parking/exiting after event. Bathrooms were very well maintained (per my partner) and porta potties were abundant with hand washing stations. Edit: would like to add-on that all vendors and event staff were awesome!

Really enjoyed our stay here. The camp host was super sweet and has the cutest dog, Emily who will happily greet you at check-in. The check in process was fairly simple with only one form to complete. Our spot was huge and had a lot of room, even with two other trailers on either side of us. We were in the gravel portion of the campground which had a lot more space in comparison to the sites closer to the check in office, although those were on asphalt. The gravel was not an issue at all for us. The site had full hookups and was very clean as well. Trash cans and recycle bins can be found at every spot making it easy to keep your site clean. I would like to note that you are directly in the flight path for the Monterey Airport so if you are sensitive to noise, this is not the place for you. It did not phase my family at all and we actually enjoyed watching the planes take off from the airport. On another note, you are warned at check in that since the golf course is next door, if you are parked in the upper campsites, you run the risk of your rig being hit by golf balls. That wasn't something we knew but since we had a spot in the 30s sites, we were not affected.

The people who work here are awesome & really seem to enjoy their jobs. The place is clean & restaurants, bowling, hotels, & the bus are easily accessible. Being near the airport & golf course bothers some people, but we've been happy here.

We've been enjoying the RV park for a couple of weeks. Not full service. It's no frills, but works well for us. Quite and secure. Occasional golf ball threats, airplanes landing and crows, but none of that seems too bad. Great location. The weather mid January has been amazing. Sunny almost every day. In Monterey!! Plus, Jimi Hendrix played here!

My experience with the Monterey County Fairgrounds has primarily been thru the Carmel Valley 4-H. The accommodations for the kids with livestock are, in my opinion, top of the line. I love this place and the sense of community that comes with it!

Had a great time here at Cali Roots. The venue is set up very well with two main stages and vendors in between. And for once they had plenty of restrooms for everyone.
