Love this place !! Employees are top notch and friendly , other campers are very friendly and likable. Lots to do in the area from side x side riding , kayaking in the springs . Camp ground is laid out great easy to move around very well landscaped. The front office has plenty to offer. I would strongly recommend this place for your family buddy camping. They are welcoming to all. One of my favorite places to camp ….

This was the 2nd time staying here. The first was a pleasant experience with no issues. Our campsite was in the"new" section. The campground and it's facilities are "ok". This experience was not good. Our site was in the "old" section. We were concerned for our safety with some late night issues and I don't believe the owners handled it well. Additionally the "old" section is merely feet from busy US Hwy 27. Loud and no buffer from the highway except a tree or two. No fencing or any other barrier making us feel uncomfortable that anyone could enter the campground undetected by management. I would not recommend this campground until these security issues are addressed.

Exceptional campground with clean facilities and wonderful staff. Many amenities including game room, dog park, playground, general store and more to come! If you do happen to have any concerns or issues, the staff and management team are EXTREMELY RESPONSIVE and will even follow up to ensure issues have been resolved and your family is enjoying the stay. Looking forward to returning in the very near future and will recommend to all family and friends.

Often you will be fine here assuming the other campers are okay. If you ever run into a problem the management will ignore you and take sides of those causing destructive behavior or behaving rudely/aggressively towards other campers. Emergency phone calls will not be answered. Aggressive campers that have to have the cops called in on them will not be kicked out. You'll just have to deal with it they say.

Nice campground, plenty of activities for the kids. Its clean and the staff in the office where kind. Had to leave 2 days early due to medical reasons. So far no refund has been given which I understand they have their policies but I also believe in doing right by people and was told its up to the owner.

Nice well maintained campground with friendly staff. Great wifi throughout the campground. The only con I personally have was the location of my site 73 which is located 50 to 60 yards from Hwy 27. Lots of traffic noise. Also, it's not gated so there is the ability for anyone to ride through the campground after hours.

Staff was incredible and rv sites were easily accessible. Cute woodsey setting with a lodge clubhouse that was open 24 hours with tvs games pool table ping pong and books galore. The bathroom shower combos are tiled and beautiful and there was also a small laundry area. Dog park and community fireplace topped it off.

I was impressed as soon as we pulled up. The grounds are kept nice. Very cute campsite. The clubhouse has outdoor fires pits, a playground, cornhole, pool table, ping pong table, juke box, arcade games and a ton of board games. Laundry and showers are available. Another nice feature is there is a beautiful spring less than 10 minutes down the road and a bike trail right in front of the campsite! There are true “buddy” sites which is also amazing! We a 3 RV’s in our group with kids ages 3 through 13. Everyone has had a great time so far. We are looking forward to checking out Gainesville on our last day which is only 30 mins from Moonshine Acres.

We just got back from our 2nd trip at Moonshine Acres and had the best time. The property is so well taken care of and the staff are super friendly. We don't have young kids but what a place for kids to play and have fun. The bathrooms and welcome shop are very nice as well. We will for sure be back again, thank you for the hospitality.

Nice big lots, great family restrooms/showers and beautiful community area! Sit in front of the fire watching a big screen TV, play ping pong, PacMan or shoot pool while listening to the jukebox...open 24 hours! Everyone there made us feel like family. Definitely a place to visit again.

Moonshine Acres was a nice place. They are fairly new, 3 years and the place was very clean with all the amenities except a swimming pool. But, the springs were close by to take a cool relaxing tube ride for a few hours. The Clubhouse was roomy with a bar, you have to bring your own, a pool table, ping pong, and two video machines. The staff were pleasant and accommodating. I had trouble with the camper tripping the breaker when I first got there, but they promptly came to my site, changed the breaker and all was great for the rest of the weekend. The sites are large, but not much shade, only a few with tree cover (lot 36 is the best). Will definitely come back and stay the weekend again.

Update Sept 2022: We're back again (we have family in High Springs and this is the best place in the area). The staff was again excellent by allowing us to adjust our plans based on potential hurricane weather impacts. Stayed at site 40 this time and it's a little less shady, but a nice pull thru site. Update: Feb 2022. We stayed in site 36, shaded pull thru site in Feb 2022 and we didn't have any issues. The staff again was excellent. Lots of shade, very nice bathrooms (maybe the best we have used), good wifi, close to st park and bike trails. Worst park is the road noise. We'll be back again. Sept 2021: Initially, we really liked this place, but on our third day here we had something stolen from our camp site. We've never had any issue like this at any other campground. I will say the camp staff were excellent. They stopped by the day after our firewood was stolen from our campsite and replaced it. I like our site...pull-thru, level, shade trees, gravel and grass. Good wifi, very limited over the air TV reception, nice game room, excellent bathhouse, and no swimming pool. It is noisy being close to the road. There is a nice bike trail along rt 27.

I am not one to post reviews but wanted to take the time to let folks know how wonderful the people are at Moonshine Acres! We had stayed there before and really enjoyed our stay. Wonderful amenities and great location for the Ichetucknee Springs. We had reservations to go back this upcoming weekend but this past week we had lightening strike our house causing a fire and things are just a mess right now. We reached out to the folks at Moonshine and they couldn't have been nicer. They gave us a credit for a year so we could get our things in order and wits about us before we rescheduled. These are the types of folks that make RV camping a joy and the world just a little brighter.

I stayed here over Memorial Day weekend and was very happy with my decision to stay here. The main factor in deciding to stay here was the distance to Ichetucknee Springs. It's 3 miles from the south entrance and 4 miles from the north entrance. I was able to cycle with ease to both entrances (though you have to travel on the main road to the north entrance). The host at the campground was very friendly and walked me to my campsite location upon check-in. She made me aware of the events going on for the weekend and was very accommodating. There is water and electric at each campsite but only one dump station at the entrance to the campground. From my campsite, I could hear traffic on 27 when I was outside of my RV but not inside (I also had the air running). If you're bringing a bicycle or just want to run or walk, you can use the O'Leno to Ichetucknee Trail in either direction. I would gladly stay here again!
