Morro Dunes RV Park

This campground was really nice. The staff were friendly and very accommodating. We got lucky to begin with as when I called 2 1/2 weeks prior they said they had a cancelation. She said if I adjusted my date by one day she said the site is yours. We stayed 3 nights. Had a really great time. Meet other campers all were friendly and down to earth people. Definitely will be booking again soon

This RV park is on a dead end road that adjoins the beach. It has wonderful views of Morro Rock. It has a bridge to access town across the small Creek. The park itself is well set up and can accommodate a lot of campers. Some areas are tent only and the rest is designated for RVs and or trailers. The facilities and hookups are in great shape. There are many bathrooms with showers and laundry. The Wi-Fi is fairly slow as it's probably overused as I saw very few satellite dishes or starlinks. The staff here is excellent, I had an initial reservation that I wanted to extend and they worked tirelessly to get that accomplished for me. Everyone I spoke with was friendly and helpful. Thank you all.

This place is amazing. From the start the office personnel were so helpful and kind and they worked with me when I asked to add days, totally accommodating. The spots are cozy, not to small and I'm sure you can upgrade to bigger spots. It's literally across the street from the beach. And the grounds keepers are in to of it, from the spots that become empty they clean almost immediately. The bathrooms are very wok kept. I would give it more stars if I could!

Love it. All you need near by and no upsale; because you are by the beach. There is sooooo much to do in Morro Bay. If you are visiting this summer it's a perfect place to get cache and enjoy an amazing meal at Giovanni's

Third time here. Nothing fancy, but a RV park that uses every square foot. It's a good location, being right across the street from the ocean. Just a short walk and you are on the sand. They are reasonable priced and I didn't have any problems with the showers or anything else there. Usually easier to find a spot here then the other local camps.

This is a great campground. Staff are all super friendly. The grounds and campsites are immaculately kept. They have several very clean restroom/laundry buildings. Morro Rock is literally right there. A 5 min walk to the beach. 5 more and you’re standing at the base of the rock.

We stayed 3 nights before Thanksgiving. It was in a great location. In front of the RV park was the beach and Morro Rock. We lucked out with beautiful weather and had awesome sunsets. We walked to town to have lunch and dinner. The park is clean and in a quiet location. The staff were nice. The only improvement is to have an email confirmation of the reservation. I reserved over the phone and was uncomfortable that I didn’t have a confirmation email.

It gave me a good vibe when we stayed hier last week, next to the beach and i love the big rock in the ocean, 1 of 6 sisters left. 20 min to town, be ealry most close at 8pm if you want to eat somewhere.

Morro Dunes RV Park is the perfect place for a family vacation. We have been gathering here for the last 13 years celebrating my mom's life in heaven. They have an area where we can all gather. They have all the amenities you need for a vacation. The RV park is very clean. They have a dog area too. We walked into a bunch of dog walkers. That was cute. Walking distance to the beach, embarcadero, The Rock etc. The women in the office are patient, kind, and considerate. If you can't get a space when you call then call throughout the year to see if there's any cancellations. We were having such a great time I get pictures of the RV park.

For their location right by the beach with that ROCK 🙂, with friendly management, well stocked store and more, I’m giving my experience 5 stars. Staff told me if I wanted a quiet night, to get a spot near the office, which I did. Showers and laundry were fine for a night or 2. I only slept there. I was out walking or working, photographing, trying the local eateries, the rest of the time. The other campers and pets I encountered at Morro Dunes were just fine. This place is popular, so it’s busy all summer. If you plan to be there during off season, just know it gets cold and sometimes foggy at night by the beach. Drive carefully in the fog. Enjoy this hidden gem.

Morro Dunes RV Park is all about location — you can’t get much closer to the beach and Morro Rock. The ocean is right outside the park, making it a fantastic spot if you want quick and easy beach access as well as stunning views. Amenities are decent and cover the basics, though nothing fancy. The parking spaces can feel a bit cramped, so don’t expect much privacy or extra room around your RV. That said, the setting more than makes up for it. With the beach at your doorstep and Morro Rock as your backdrop, this is a great campground for anyone who values location above all else.

Location is convenient, ground are kept up very well. Walk across the street and the beach is right there. The staff was very nice and greeted us, they also have a little store for rv supplies. 1/2 mile to the bay/pier, restaurants and shopping. The beach is nice and we took nice long walks every day. Pet friendly for people who have pets, we didn’t. Bathroom and laundry facilities are decent. Washers are old but get the job done, you can use quarters or use an app. We didn’t spend a whole lot of time at camp, lots to do away from camp. Campers coming in every day. We stayed 2 nights and came back another 2 nights because of location. So we stayed a total of 4 nights on 2 separate days. Overall, great location, friendly staff and clean facilities.

The camp ground is very well maintained, clean bathrooms and showers. The beach is right in your camp spots backyard. Everyone is very friendly. The camp ground is pet friendly, bring your bikes there is a bike / walking path to the shopping/resturant area. Very enjoyable visit

First time visiting Morro Bay and this RV park is perfectly located across from the dunes. Numerous spots and ours was a great location just steps to a gate and then onto the dunes or a short walk to the bridge. Views are stunning! Front staff was welcoming when I walked in to check-in for the week. Reason for 3 stars instead of 5: 1) Unable to book online. The office is state of the art with several computers and several employees. Website is nicely designed. To make or change a reservation, you have to call each time. 2) WiFi is horrible! We came down for the week so I could work remotely (good for personal usage, yet not compatible with my company's VPN.) Because of this, I have to go to a McDonald's to connect to my VPN for work purposes. When I called the office to express my disappointment, I was met with indifference and no empathy or what can be done to make things right. However, on day 4 of our stay, I was able to shut off access to the park's WiFi and use my personal hotspot (finally!) At that point, no further connectivity issues and no more going to McDonald's to work. 3) Courtesy in not being jammed up by others when trying to disconnect our tow-behind and then maneuver our 34' class A into our spot. Had 2 other guests in their pickups or 5th wheels not realize that others are trying to park. Suggest a pullout area for staging travelers waiting to check in. 4) Neighbors in the next spot were loud, vulgar, and brought in guests from 10:00AM to almost Midnight most evenings. These were also some of the people who were jamming us up as we tried to back into our spot. While I'm confident we will stay here again due to location and views and coastal access, I would welcome someone in leadership at their office to reach out and address these issues.
