Misses the mark for us. Lots of potential. Great location but stumbles when compared against contemporary parks with 2024 expected services. The big one, and for us its huge, they seem to dislike pets. There is a mud filled dog run that's nasty after a rain however that is the ONLY place on property for dogs to do their business. ANY grass spot is off limits to dogs. I suspect what is going on is people don't clean up after their dogs but punishing good owners for bad owner habits doesn't cut it. We'll not likely be back for this alone but it's not the only issue. They have multiple washing/drying machine buildings but they take only quarters. It's 2025, get the machines online and app capable. Getting quarters when I, and many if not most others, don't carry any cash, also completely unacceptable. Bathroom facilities are decent. Showers etc but while the showers are large and individually enclosed there is no curtain so the spray gets anything damp in that enclosed area. That's kinda the story with this park. Potential but botched. Finally a thought that might get backlash but oh well. I always thought it was odd when an RV park put mfg year limits on RVs they will accept reservations for. But then we come here and there are many, many 20, 30 and probably 40+ year old trailers and coaches. I liked seeing a few old girls still chugging along but en masse like it is here, it does create a sense of age and degradation that permeates the park. Felt mildly unsafe. We had no issues but this is a review and if management sees this I bet if you upgrade a few key areas you will have no problem filling up every spot even with age restrictions for the guest vehicles. Because, the location is fantastic. Across the street from Morro Rock Beach. Walking distance to the harbor walk. Restaurants, bars etc. Unfortunately for us the bad does outweigh the good. Not likely we'll be back.

This is one of our absolute favorite places to take our Travel trailer! The staff has always been pleasant to deal with, the grounds are always clean, the rates are fantastic, and the environment is always relaxing. There is a good size gated dog run for those who travel with your dogs. The location is perfect, you are right across the street from the beach. One of the best places to stay on the central coast!

Love this place. Right next to the beach and next to the Morro Bay Rock. If you bring bicycles you can easily ride to town in about 10 minutes. They have plenty of RV and tent spaces. But some of the spaces can be pretty small. We always tent camp and have always enjoyed the area.

The staff here are fantastic. Great service attitude. The whole park was impressive clean and in a fabulous location. All the restrooms, laundry services, sites, and even the dog park area were all very well maintained. We can't wait to go back here!

We wanted to see Morro Bay heading home to NorCal, and wow we had to stay another couple of days. This RV park is so cool. Great folks and just a walk away from all the great food and shopping in town. Beach hiking, surfer's, and oh, everything is dog friendly. The Dunes RV park and Morro Bay. I'll give you 👍👍👍

Just ended a three day stay at Morro Bay Dunes RV Park, better identified as RV Parking Lot. We made advance reservations along with our travel mates and were preliminarily assigned sites 118 and 122. Upon our arrival, we were advised that site 122 was occupied and we were assigned site J-10, the worst site available and away from our travel mates, though there were a multitude of other sites available which would accommodate us. Charma the manager explained however that those sites were reserved. Now you may ask, wasn’t your site reserved, well yes, yes it was but we understand that that can be subject to change so then why were we not given one of the available sites. Charma explained that those sites had been reserved. Reserved, just like we had reserved our site. Charma was unable to explain as to why other reservations were recognized and ours wasn’t. After a lengthy incoherent conversation with Charma, I realized I had entered Bizzaro World. When I commented that we were given the worst site possible, as it was directly across from the office and entrance/exit, with maintenance vehicles stacked up everywhere and a stone’s throw away from the Morro Bay Sewage Treatment Plant and the furthest possible site from our travel mates, she had no reply other than a should shrug. However, as a gesture of good will, she offered to make a note on our file that on our next visit, not to assign us J-10. Seriously, when we return, like we would have any intention of returning. The Park itself, it is actually a parking lot, with dirt pads, hookups, and no outdoor ambiance whatsoever, but the cable is outstanding. It is fenced so no view of the ocean and a very significant walk to reach the seashore. 44 inches separated our motorhome from our neighbor’s trailer, so to say the sites are close would be an understatement. If you forget your alarm they provide one between 6:50 and 7:00 a.m. when the heavy equipment next door begins operation at the sewer plant. Bottom line, this facility could care less as to customer service. Charma was very nice but not overly bright or accommodating. In closing, a site which would have nicely accommodated us near our travel mates remained vacant during our entire stay. Apparently this facility has so much business that it really could care less as to customer service. Welcome to Bizarro World!

This park is a real gem! The staff was super nice, helpful, and knowledgeable about everything the park had to offer. The location was amazing as it was so close to the Morro Rock! This is something everyone has to see at some point in their life! The amenities were nice as it gave us everything we needed and the facilities were always immaculate. I really like a park that is well maintained and they do it well. There were enough activities for everyone in the family to do what they enjoy most. The campground is literally steps away from the Morro Rock which is super cool! If you've never seen it, it's this 500-foot volcanic rock, but it's connected to the island by a causeway, so it's like a tiny island. The park itself has all the amenities we needed during our visit; some parks still don't have laundry and sewerage facilities which is crazy to me, but this one had those, electricity, water and the works. And they were all fully functional, no issues at all. We were super happy we chose this park too because it's close to a bunch of really relaxing activities which we definitely needed. When the waves were high, we practiced our surfing technique and most other days we spent kayaking and biking.
