Bob Place

A great little hideaway in the heart of Panama city. The girls in the office are wonderful very enjoyable to talk with and accommodating. The campground features some nice shaded spots and close to the beach. And don’t let the cats scary you, some people like to exaggerate. We only saw a few of them and they don’t bother anyone. I’m not a cat person but get over it people.

My husband and I had a wonderful spring break at Raccoon River Campground! The campsite was a little tight but not a big deal. We loved how clean it was and having all the trees made it nice to block out the sun. Everyone is really nice and courteous of quiet hours. We took our dog on early morning walks, enjoyed the easy walk to the beach, and relaxing in the evening. The bathrooms are clean!

Amazing ladies in the office the ownership of property keep this place amazingly clean and picked up. Super nice place and this is what all RV Campgrounds should be like.

Can't say anything negative about this place. This was our first year with our camper in Panama. This place was great. The location was the best. We were able to bring our golf cart and never had to use our vehicle the whole time there. The pools and laundry room were clean and the staff was great. They don't charge you outrageous prices for add-ons like some campgrounds do. The only thing I wish is, I could have booked for the next year before I left because this will be our new spot every year for our vacation.

Love it here. Stayed 6 months last year, back for six months this year and I plan to be back this fall. It's like home.

We have stayed here once before and we had a similar experience. First want to say that the staff and everything else is great, but it’s the sites themselves that are an issue. We stayed at 120 for this particular time. Just like last time, I could not locate a way to turn off the power before I plug my 50 amp cord. This site also had huge roots and a tree on the corner that prevented me from pulling in too far. That entire row of sites also were not true pull throughs, as we had back our camper out in order to leave. Also, the power source appeared to be dirty and the sewer hookup was at an odd angle but this was all that was available.

I stopped in Raccoon River Oct 15th 2021 just for a few days to clear my mind. Two months later I'm still here as a Resident 🤗. I'm at such peace here, and the Ladies in the office and grounds keepers are so welcomin, loving and attentive. Happy & Grateful to call Raccoon River my 🏡 💝
