Very peaceful, relaxing experience. We stayed August 17 - 20, 2024. We came in after the office was closed, and a welcome packet was waiting for us, with a map to where our campsite was. The grounds are well maintained, and the trees majestic. We camp a lot, and understand coming into an RV park is different than boondocking, so yes, there are others camping next to you. Some sites are more private feeling while others can be more open. We felt very safe while we camped 🏕 here. The campground seemed full for the weekend. I was really surprised by how quiet it was for being so full. The trees must absorb the sounds. For full hookup, close to the beach, Crescent City & Oregon, it's a great location. Pro-tip: Check out Pelican Beach, right behind the California bug station off 101

After 8 years of going here each year, this was our last. The park is nice and shaded, but that is about it. It has changed ownership several times and never gets improved. The laundry is cold water only and now many full hookup sites have no sewer. There is no usable WIFI or cable. They rarely if at all, answer their phones. One employee was playing on his phone while the phone was ringing. The BIG change for me is that they no longer allow you to pick your site. You can only reserve a type of site and they assign you whatever they have. Some sites are flooded and you just have to deal with it. Not for me.

Had to pay $59 for a single night of tent camping, with our camping spot being 20 feet from the 101. The noise from the freeway kept us up all night. No campsite should cost that much, even if it's supply and demand.

Stayed here for 3 nights in our RV. Nice spaces that are not packed in right next to each other. Both staff members we interacted with were very friendly and helpful. Beautiful area and close to explore the ocean or the trees and hiking trails in the area.

The young man working the Office when we arrived was very supportive and accommodating when we showed up without a reservation. My son and his wife had reservations and we did not know when we would be joining them. This campground is very nice and gives a small but good taste of the Red Woods. Who ever that young man was, thank you. You helped our family build or create memories for a lifetime.

Excellent amenities and on site staff support. The sites were clean and accessible for our large trailer. The loud siren from the nearby fire station volunteers weren’t great at 6am but luckily that didn’t happen often. Perfectly located near crescent city and the Redwoods. Our family had a blast here! Would definitely recommend and plan on coming again in the future!

We were so surprised at the site. We thought something different when it said: "displaced". The staff was amazing, the campsite was a special lovers' hideaway that made our little romantic getaway so special and magical. thank you so much for making this time away from our busy lives special. We don't get to spend a lot of time together but this was perfect. We will be back and are spreading the word, to our friends and family about this wonderful place. We are even looking at a full family campout here.

For the price, this place was a disappointment. It was the most expensive campground we stayed at on our roadtrip down 101 and it was also the dirtiest and least private. We had different expectations based on what we read on their website. Would´ve been fine if it was was a cheaper deal, but we left feeling pretty ripped off.

Really enjoyed the campground and staff. Most sites are spacious and private. I locked a site in when I booked but was assigned a different site at check in. We were there for 5 days so it was worth it to us to move to the site we locked the next day since there was someone in it that night. They put a credit on our account for the trouble and the kids enjoyed ice cream a couple times.||The website talks up the grounds quite a bit (immaculate bathrooms/showers, dog wash etc) but the facilities could use upgrades. |The washers didn’t seem to clean well as clothes came out with dirt stains that shouldn’t have been an issue to wash out. ||Our site was also all dirt and barely any gravel, luckily it didn’t rain but the kids were pretty filthy everyday from it. ||We would return but if you’re looking for clean upgraded facilities, this isn’t for you

The location itself is beautiful but when we arrived, we had booked our site for our camper last December and it was paid in full and we paid A lock fee to make sure we had that site. When we arrived, we were Moved to the other side of the campground. When I told them this wouldn’t work as we were with three other couples, we were told there was a glitch in the system, and then they moved us to a closer site, Mind you, We paid for a pull through site and was given a back in site. We were then told we would be reimbursed a difference in the sites and the lock fee would The reimbursed within 2 to 3 dates. That did not happen. I cannot get anyone to return my calls or emails and would certainly like this resolved. . I have tried to get a hold of you guys through this number and just rings and then asks for a code

We rented a cabin for the week. The weather and location were perfect. The cabin was very clean and efficiently laid out. We loved the creek trail and the playground. Staff was very prompt in bringing us more towels and toilet paper when requested. Campsites are large and spread out, most are shaded. They welcome your dogs too!

We rented one of the cabins. It was nice with a view looking interesting the woods. Good size for what we needed. No real A/C so watch out if it's really hot. We brought our dogs. Overall it was a good time. Bring DVDs, Internet isn't good. Nice play area in the center of the park

I am hoping by posting here I can get someone to return my calls or emails, because for weeks no one will get back to me about my refund. I don't ever post bad reviews, but I'm not sure what else to do at this point. We booked a full hookup site back in March to stay here for an upcoming trip in July. They emailed us in June and said they could no longer offer the full hookup site we booked, so they offered us free cancelation OR a discount on the site booked if still wanted to stay without full hookups. We choose to cancel because we needed full hookups. I immediately got an email back from them saying it was canceled....great all was well. That said, I never got my refund and I've been calling constantly trying to reach someone, no one answers, I've left multiple messages, no return calls and I've emailed on the thread they originally contacted me at least 6 times, nothing. I see the owner has replied to reviews on here within the last few days so I'm hoping by posting here I can get someone to contact me and refund our money. Help please!

Lovely park. Stayed last minute at park, accidentally made reservation on wrong date but the staff fixed my error no problem. They have showers for people and dogs. Special dog bath outside!!!! The sites are so nice. Would love to camp there again someday.

This camp Ground was nothing short of amazing! The trees give off an energy that I can’t describe, it was truly therapeutic. The giant tall redwoods provided much needed shade from the hot summer day. Also I would like to note that this was the quietest camp ground I have ever stayed at. All the lots were full for 4th of July weekend, but you would have thought you had the whole place to your self. The tent spot we got was large, clean, and level. Definitely lookin lg forward to bringing my family back here. Just make sure you book plenty in advance.
